  • This is how another fan-made vid presented robot access-egress on the J2 - youtube (dot) com/watch?v=oGnxhYSVs0U&feature=related .

  • I always wondered how the Robot got up and down those stairs???

  • Where on the web will it be?

  • So is it on the web because you called it a web series?

  • When is this web series going to come?

  • @michaelhviper Plans are for this year. This is an all-volunteer production so things don't move very fast :) Most of the casting has been done. Most of the new Jupiter 2 has been designed.

  • This is just so excellent. Most of the models don't make sense proportion wise.

  • I see the ceiling in the lower deck is above the level where the sauce changes from top half to bottom half. As a kid I used to try to figure out how they got everything in that ship and in my drawings the only way I could do that was to raise the ceiling so the lower deck protrudes up into the top saucer half.

  • @Indygoguy The door to the lower deck is the same one shown next to the elevator on the show. Note though, this is a model of the 98-foot diameter version of the ship that we are using for the upcoming web series. Some things have been altered so that there are two full decks within the larger shell. New spaces have been added as well, such as a Medical Bay, Chariot Bay & Workshop, new Laboratory, a cabin for Major West and a new, larger Space Pod Bay.

  • @Haselius00 Ah yes, I eventually went to your site after I posted this question. I like the work you have done and the reimagined Jupiter 2

  • so where in the lower deck does the door come out?

  • This makes so much sense!

Robert Kinoshita didn't even think this part through (of course, nobody asked him to!). Great stuff.

  • This is so cool. Great job/

  • Beautiful !!!!

  • 1 - how does the robot get from the ground up to the low position of the lift?

2- I always imagined that the robot was winched up and down from the chariot bay rather than having his own landing gear.

  • @Zoxesyr - See the 2nd part of this video, the "Robot Lift Test."

  • @Haselius00 I always assumed that the Robot was winched down, too...he DID have those cargo clasps on his "shoulders."

This looks like an amazing project. I'm absolutely amazed with this! As a long-time "Lost in Space" fan, I'm going nuts right now over your work!

  • INCREDIBLE!!!!

  • Nice job!!
