V.A. Hospital benefits are great!! I was young, dumb and so entered the military when I was 20. Just because I did that, I received LIFETIME SINGLE PAYER healthcare (and dental) for 4 years of being taken care of by the Army and trained on heavy equipment ops! Companies can require people to work up to 18 hour shifts. Worked a 17 hour shift on friday no breaks. If someone gets injured at my job there is no workers compensation, they get "light duty" work. But only for a couple hours a week so that way they can pay them almost nothing even if the company was at fault for their injury.

I could never trust insurance com panies. Think about it. You give them hundreds sometimes thousands a month, and we still have to pay a co pay.
I was treated some years back under Blue Shield Health Insurance in Pennsylvania, and they dropped me halfway through my treatment against doctor's advice. I was paying Health Insurance, and the INS company was taking me for a ride. Do u know of one who won't abuse me like this?

Companies can require people to work up to 18 hour shifts. Worked a 17 hour shift on friday no breaks. If someone gets injured at my job there is no workers compensation, they get "light duty" work. But only for a couple hours a week so that way they can pay them almost nothing even if the company was at fault for their injury.

I was treated some years back under Blue Shield Health Insurance in Pennsylvania, and they dropped me halfway through my treatment against doctor's advice. I was paying Health Insurance, and the INS company was taking me for a ride. Do u know of one who won't abuse me like this?

I completely agree; he backed down as did the other Democrats. They blew their chance by giving in to a loud, obnoxious bully. They also sold out for a Lot of money (i.e. Lieberman, Baucus, Mike Ross, Lieberman, Blanche Lincoln, Lieberman..... I mentioned Lieberman so many times because he sold out so many times, and became a bigger whore every time he did it. I would never call a woman a whore; but Lieberman absolutely is.)

Okay, you took back the WH, Senate & House, Mr. President. And? You've shut out single payer advocates since the start of your process. Where is that wonderful peoples' advocate we voted for? Listen to yourself and the millions who are pushing for Medicare for all, get some of that resolve back and at least LISTEN to the single payer advocates as much as you're listening to the legislative blocking Republicans!

What are those headlines from? The MSM? They support Obama's legislation, they would obviously pick out the most damning headlines. What's disturbing is when the leftist media has to pay attention to something bad about a radical left system. Like the NHS hospitals. Then you know it's really bad.
The truth is, the UK and Canada are the best examples we have of "Universal" Healthcare. What makes you think we'll be different? American Exeptionalism? I thought that concept was bad.

Sure, Medicare. Before it Seniors lived in poverty due to health care costs. Now Seniors receive the medical care they need. Expand Medicare to be from cradle to grave. Get Aetna & United Healthcare out of health care management. Who got us in the financial collapse---insurance co's. Who got us out---Government. Open your eyes and see the evidence in every senior. This is a "rob Peter to pay Paul" argument, you understand. It's like borrowing $10,000 from one credit card and then using $5000 of it to pay down, or off, another card, but then using the remaining $5000 for another purchase. The only way to pay for this is through taxation, wealth redistribution, and other fees, price controls, etc. That's how you achieve the so-called "deficit reduction" if you're a Socialist. Private citizens, like you and I, don't have that power. That's the difference.
