i want to send my ex gf with her damned bf there and left without the boat. add some effects like fog and alas! it will looked like silent hill manifested with nurses, pyramid head and other scary creatures. mwahahahahahahahaha..
it must be very depressive living in a place like this (especially for children).looking ay the pictures of this "ghost" island is depressive as well !
I heard that you have to sign a contract to visit it or something :-/ . And you can only visit it in 160 days of the year because of bad weather conditions. It's one of the worlds creepest places... i would love to visit it, i'd be shitting myself though!
Ever since I saw photos of this place on some site (can't remember the name) I've wanted to visit this island. I'd love to just walk around and take pictures. Abandoned locations and buildings have always fascinated me, but Gunkanjima takes the price. It's just something else. An entire island where thousands of people lived and worked. I keep thinking about people who lived there and where they are today, if they're still alive.
damn this islands like a small city fortress they bassically had all the necesistys they needed, i think they should tear hashima down and make it into a water park, tht would be crazy
The TV ... at midnight it will turn on itself ... even without power supply ...jk jk^^ ... wow the whole place hv kind a melancholic atmosphere... btw i wonder if in coming decades or centuries some of the current megacities gonna become like this or not...
@industryfails they sorta have lol the game Forbidden Siren 2 or Siren 2 in US and JP, the island is based on this island "stairway to hell" is in a few levels. so weird seeing it in real life, i wana go so bad now just cus its on Siren 2 lol
Myself and some friends of mine are into Urban Exploring. We like to go into old tunnelsystems, abanoned old factorys and such. This would probably be the dream place to explore around in. :) Just marvelous ^^
Me too. Damn, wish I had more friends like you. I usually go it alone. First I'll read up a bit on old local buidlings and even some ghost towns and occasionally visit inside them if and when I can. Something about looking back in time that's enthralling and facinating, relating the events of history with what I'm actually seeing ... Not to mention feels just plain fun and completely free being somewhere I probably shouldn't be!
There must be an online club or something somewhere, :D

I went to this island four years ago to pass it with the fishing boat. It is that the Shinto shrine is in the top of the hill on the island that I was impressive. It´s hard nowadays, because they have more or less closed off the island, due to "renovation". They might open it up as a "museum", sadly... one where people will be seeing the island from new, ugly, walkways around the island. But nevertheless I don´t think it´s impossible to rent a boat in Nagasaki and go out there. But be prepared to run if the coast guard sees you!
