could you do a tutorial on how to get the see through engine bay? where the engine is just visible through the hood.

    that would be great thanks

  • Im using new GIMP 2.6 It works fine.

  • Yeah, GIMP is sick, yet nearly everyone I talk to has never used it.

  • just do hue saturation, to change the colour of the car

  • can i do this on photoshop elements 7.0?

    please reply asap!!

  • you can do some of the things shown here in elements but it won't have most of the features photoshop has.

  • wow!!!

can you make more tutorials about photoshop cars tuning?

  • what photoshop is _

    this

  • i'm using CS2

  • Saunuolis kad From lithuania ;D

  • How to add a spoiler or any new body parts? Sorry for bad english because i am from lithuania

  • use the same technique as adding rims, find your part and shape it using the transform tool in the same angle as the car body.

  • nice but get a screen recorder and a mic. 5 stars

  • Nice dude.

    5/5

  • Helped alot, thanks :)

  • Thanks for the reply! I liked the song and have since downloaded a copy via Itunes. By the way, great tutorial!

  • whats the song playing with the video? Its not Kayne West it actually sounds like Seether.

  • yea the song playing now is Never Leave Me by Seether. I originally put Stronger by Kanye West but youtube sent me a copyright violation email lol so I had to change it.

  • Man you rock xD

  • there is an easyer way to change coulour just go to Enhance-adjust colour and if you have a red car select ajustreds and move hu untill your desiered colour comes out

  • i have problems with the laso cant get it where i want it.And when I use the edge finder and I move to the tool bar with my mouse it follows it how do I stop this?

  • to get the lasso tool exactly where you want it you might have to zoom-in more (ctrl +). and you have to use the edge-finder tool and move the tool bar separately so it doesn't interfere.

  • Why do you have 2 start menu buttons? oO

  • lol copy and paste error when i was print-screening.

  • When I move the wheel to the car i wanted.. why does the whole white page goes with it?

  • select only the wheel using the lasso tool.

  • which lasso tool u use? if u use the first one how can u make straight lines?

  • i use the polygonal lasso tool. its very difficult to make straight lines if you use the normal lasso tool.

  • SWEET! DUDE! THANXS!!!!!

  • thanks man thanks!!!!

  • tanks

  • THX and god jobb !!

  • its easier to do the rims one by one than both at the same time

  • how do u do that withthe lasso and the red thing then??

  • I stroked it so the red selection would be easier to see. You can stroke a selection by right-clicking the selection, select stroke. Then set the colour and width of the brush and click 'OK' to stroke over the selection.

  • can u do it also with photoshop cs2 ?? cause i cant find that O_o

  • yea you can do it in CS2, i made this video in CS2 lol. are you sure you are doing it right? You can also try making a selection, go to Edit > stroke.

  • idk but im new in photoshop so yea mayb i am doing it wrong idk

  • k i found out how to lower up the car but uhmm i cant make the circles right by the weels and when i lower upper of the imgage goes white :S

  • to get rid of the white space, press 'c' for the crop tool. with the crop tool, select everything EXCEPT for the white part at the top. Then double click on the selection.

  • tkx just got photoshop but this help out a load big thx man...

  • dude i love this vid.. oh and btw wut song is that?

  • appreciate it! :)

the song is 'stronger' by kanye west.

  • great vid!

  • Awesome vid mate, the best Photoshop tutorial I've seen

  • Good tutorial.

  • this is the most informative photoshop tutorial ever

  • can u make a tutorial on how to make side vents on cars

    cool thanks

  • sry bro i've got my hands full with school lol so i dont think i'm going to be making any tutorials soon. But to make side vents, follow the same concept as changing the wheels. Get a vent in almost the same angle as your base car, cut it out, copy and paste it on your car, transform it so it fits snugly over your car (ctrl+t, right click, and select 'distort'.) Then you may have to change the colour so it matches your base car colour (ctrl+u).

  • how do u get to distort stuff in paintshop pro 5? plz help i dunno how

  • sorry man I'm not familiar with paintshop pro :|

  • oh wat is this ur usin then how much is it also

  • I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS2 here, and it is $650. You can download a free trial version and see if you like it.

  • how did you made lasso tool so straight?

  • Hold down shift and drag the mouse :)

  • how did you made lasso tool so straight?

  • ok thanks alot

  • how do u make the laso toll go red ?

    thanks

  • I didn't actually make it go red, but I stroked it so the selection would be easier to see. You can stroke a selection by right-clicking the selection, select stroke. Then set the colour and width of the brush and click 'OK' to stroke over the selection.

  • how to do a body kits?Or where to get good body kits from?

  • you can do a search on google images for body kits. Putting on body kits is much like putting on different wheeles, except this time, you have to ensure the colour of the kit matches the colour of the car (ctrl + u). Also, you have to match the angle of the kit with the car, using transform (ctrl + t), right click on it and select 'distort'.

  • I swear your like my hero. :]

do you have a vid. on how to tint cars?

and if i can i'll send you the car that you helped me build.

  • do u mean how to tint windows?

sorry i don't have a vid showing how to do that, but its very simple. Its just like re-colouring the car, except this time, select the window area, and press ctrl+u, then play around with the colours :)

  • iam interested in getting photoshop aye r all photoshops lke this like u can do up cars like tht.

  • huh ? O.o

  • Yes, car tune ups like this can be done in photoshop easily, and depending on the version of photoshop you get (the latest is CS3), you have more options and stuff.

I don't support torrents, but if ur thinking of getting photoshop I suggest downloading a torrent first and if you like it, buy it.

  • wht buy it when ive got it and if any1 wants me to send them it wit the serial add my msn matty_toman@hotmail*co*uk ill send it to any1

  • when im lowering the car my picture is black at the top thats lokking ugly what can i do

  • you can crop the image, select the crop tool (C) and select the part of the picture you want to keep, and double click on the selection to crop it.

  • thanks

  • At 3:30 you open up a new car picture on top of what were you doing. How do you do that?

And when you select inverse on the wheels, how do you move them from one window to the window with your original car on? Thanks XD

  • hello, sorry for the late reply.

I copied and pasted the second car pic on top of the first car pic layer.

and when u select inverse, u delete the other car, so all that is left is the wheel of the second car on top of the original car.

  • whats this song??

  • its called 'stronger' by kanye west.

  • oh yeah thanks

  • Here's a lot easyer way to change the colour!Select the part you want to change the colour and cut the parts you don't want to colour then paint, deselect and you're done!

  • oh noooooo....i dont know the take back the headlights, and all things i deleted

  • lol when you are deleting things, its best to work on a duplicate layer :)

  • tahnx.!!!!best tutorial on youtube!!!!!!!!!

  • do you use the plain lasso for selecting and if so how do you get it so perfect around the body. I have photoshop elements so I dont have everything cs2 or cs3 has any suggestions on how i can stil get perfect selections without having to take hours and hours?

  • I use the polygonal lasso tool. To get it right, you have to magnify the image (about 3-4x) and select. If you have a contrasting image (a black car and a plain white background for example) then it's better to use the magnetic lasso tool. But I'm not sure if photoshop elements has the polygonal or the magnetic lasso tools because I've never tried it. If it doesn't, I suggest you borrow CS2 from a friend and put it on your computer.

  • hey peeeanuts, you did a very well job, keep it going!

  • 5/5 !!

  • RUSSEL PETERS FTW

i can nevre remember how to spell his name, though though i haven't forgotten !Xobile

  • Woow really thanks man it helped me alot!! it is very good explained i love it thx for the video !!

  • hmm its okm gimme a few ideas..

  • C'mon, in all fairness, would you consider this tutorial useful?

    a) no voice comments

    b) very few text comments

    c) everything is way too hard to read

About it being hard to read; of course I understand that YouTube has limitations, but you only make it worse by trying to cover the whole screen, you should have worked in a much smaller area instead.

The music can be irritating, I for example hate that kind of music.

  • ok thx for the constructive criticism, i'll keep that in mind next time.
