  • Someone tell Obama he is in the British parliament. The Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish prefer not to be called English

  • 3:23 , brown hasnt got a clue ...

  • RON PAUL 2012

  • @tehallanaz Paul would screw us over, I will be voting for Obama.

  • Much love to the UK, from my country to yours! America loves you!

  • The United Kingdom STILL has more troops out in Afghanistan than France, Canada, and Germany all put together! Incredible.

  • We love you Britain!

  • @Nihilanth1982 What are you talking about? You think Americans don't respect the UK in Iraq and Afghanistan? Really? I live in a family of veterans and currently serving, and they all have the utmost respect for British soldiers. Every one of them. Even when my (redneck) family make jokes about accents, they get shot down and told to shut the f**k up. Respect, nothing but.

  • @seraphilm0 and i as a Brit thank you for that.

  • That was one of the best introductions iv ever heard. I an America enormously respect Great Britian for that introduction to our President. What a great alliance.

  • it really fucks me off that our soldiers are dying for the americans' dirty wars, we acknowledge them as allies, and judging from comments here plus reading elsewhere, americans seem to be such ungrateful, arrogant bastards as to think that its wrong to show respect to other nations like what obama does here at westminster, and some still see us 'enemy' with 18th century colours, and not what we are today. the arrogance of americans is limitless. we are your allies - at least respect us.

  • @Nihilanth1982 Please please PLEASE be aware that the Americans you're talking about are a small minority of idiots. The majority of us have nothing but respect, admiration and affection for all the support your country has shown ours and we would gladly return it in a heartbeat. I'll always be thankful for the UK's assistance and grateful for the special bond between our two nations. <3

  • 21:08 jizzed his pants

  • i love how he still managed to mention the words "bar" and "joke" in the same sentence. genius

  • We finally have a President who is relatable, can go to foreign lands and deliver articulate speeches, lift spirits and motivate people to better themselves and better their country. He hasn't been perfect but it is a step forward, I really don't think anybody is missing Bush these days

  • The president has a nice smile :)

  • I love free speech, but these YouTube comments are so sad.

  • Franklin D. Roosevelt must be rolling in his grave from this disgusting sell out.

  • david cameron is laughing at 4:20, because he could never make the parliament laugh that much, only the president of the united states could. obama is the pimp, the whole of parliament is his bitches period...XD.

  • @k4n3n1 What? Why? It wasn't even funny.

  • @k4n3n1 are you just another retarded american that things america is the king of the world? because you act like it.

  • gay brits

  • @BrucieWayne ignorant Yanks

  • President Obama, please return to Chicago with the rest of the thugs next year

  • That's so cute, they let Nick Clegg attend!

  • President Obama: Sir. Keep up the good work and keep fighting for the common people of our beloved country and the world. Thank you.

  • lol arguments on politics are funny...please continue.

  • OBAMA CHAT SHIT!!!

  • @nimasha83 would you prefer it if he spoke towards your intellectual level?

  • Nice Speech....but this is war mongerer in disquise. I liked Obama and had hope he would make changes...but he is worth than Bush. Escalated the war in Afghanistan by sending more troops...increased drone attacks in Pakistan...Quantanomo Bay still open...Because of Bush policy Millions of Iraqis dead...the Iraqi infrastructure completely destroyed and setback a century and now America leaves....yep well done Brit and US government.

  • I worked for Obama as a precinct captain in the state of Nevada and have been to many of his speeches and met him a few times. The man is cool...I don't mean James Dean cool...I mean he's calm, cool and collected. He is smart, caring and thinking ahead.

  • Unless you can grasp what he is saying and stop stating totally inane petty comments - especially those who put words in people's mouths during WW2 and prior to it - there's not much hope for you as sensible smart individuals. Sorry your gas prices are twice ours. That must suck. My friends are from both the UK and U.S.

  • @beachhutblues you're an idiot, sort your grammar out. You're not your.

  • Hail to the Chief!!!!!

  • He (Obama) hates us (The Brits).

When he made his inaugural speech he made a snide comment about how his grandmother...

    "Worked for...The British"

...as if he still had slave-mentality resentment.

He always tries to side-line us.

But he can't, because we had the largest empire in history, we have one of the largest armed forces in the world, we have the city with the MOST financila muscle in the world (London), and we are a nueclear power.

We'll just wait for him to go like all the others.

  • @beachhutblues You might want to get your story straight. His grandmother did not work for the British. His grandfather was a cook for the British military and, according to his grandmother, was tortured by the British Military when he participated in the Mau Mau rebellion for independence. Besides, what exactly are these great offenses committed against the British--giving the Queen an I-Pod? Or giving Gordon Brown some DVD's. Perhaps over sensitivity is the real issue.

  • @wintereis57

What the fuck are you talking about Yank?

    Your an idiot.

  • @beachhutblues Alright, I'll go really slow for you. Reread your comments, that's right. Now reread what I said . . . good. Now look up the Mau Mau Rebellion. You might want to set a dictionary beside your computer for that part, in case there are any words larger than "the". If you do all this, you should be able to follow along. Good luck.

  • @wintereis57

    Cunt.

    Zzzzzzz.......

  • @beachhutblues It is embarrassing how wrong you are. Obama does not hate the Brits! The UK is the USA's greatest ally! It has been that way for a long time, and hopefully it will continue to be that way. Obama and the US have nothing but the utmost respect for the UK.

  • @Deshman88

    I'm not embarassed.

    Its a statement of fact.

Our relationship in the past has nothing to do with the present.

    Obama doesn't like the Brits...fact.

He still thinks of us as slavemongers, when the truth is, that we ended slavery decades BEFORE the U.S did....and then spent the intervening years using the Royal Navy to board and FREE SLAVES FROM U.S SLAVE SHIPS!

    FACT!

  • @beachhutblues Obama doesn't like the Brits...fact. how is this a fact do you know something we don´t know

  • @bombsmacked

    Yes

  • @beachhutblues do tell

  • @bombsmacked

His great-great-grandfather was my great-great-granfathers personal ball washer.

  • i bet obama feels pimp as fuck

  • MegaTouchy is fresh, and has a point.

  • that was lovely to watch

  • he is the best leader u have had.

  • It was there the rule of law begun? how wrong you are...The law was given to Mose

  • @dnice240

Oh, and I guess before that story was set they just let people steal and rob without consequence? If a big bearded magician in the sky made you, well then I gotta tell you, he forgot to add quite a bit of brains.

  • Fuck those western power grabbing assholes. They day american crumbles is the day when the world will be at peace

  • @brownspottedbanana No, the day Muslims meet the devil in hell, will be the day the world is at peace.

  • @Deshman88 sure id agree with that. but in current events, USSA is the real terrorist.

  • 19:45 TOM HANKS!??? -Why flash to him on the World War Two reference?because he played Capt. john h. miller in Saving Private Ryan?

  • Have you notice the majority of movies that has to do with end of the world, such as The Fifth Element, deep impact, 2012, and much more always have a black president. Now we have a Black President = Obama. The end of the world might happen verysoon!!

    Obama is the antichrist!

When our Lord JESUSCHRIST returns, He (the antichrist/obama) will say that is an ALIEN INVASION

Repent and accept JESUSCHRIST as your Saviour and Lord , the WRATH OF GOD upon this stupid world is very near!!

    seemyvids

  • @IhaveHopeinGod i had david cameron as the antichrist 100% wanker

  • pictures are very clear at 360p

  • @ TheWackadooFuckhead, it seems like we focus on separate issues....im focus on the content of the speech, and the fact that he wrote it, you're focus on him reading his speech from a teleprompter.....and @ TheChristianRight09, what qualifies or whats the criteria in your "opinion" to be a president.

  • @garytow Because It's written down it MUST be true!

  • Makes me happy to know that my American brothers are our friends B)

  • Our unqualified president, and look where he has taken us.................Obama....

  • @ TheWackadooFuckhead.....well offcoarse his speech writer jon favreau had a lot to do with it, but jon himself reference that the president is the best writer among all of them simply because he's knowledgeable on the subject. My thing is all the Presidents before him did not hv the nuts to address the British Parliament @ that hall...if u familiar with what you yourself write, you can scam thru that teleprompter but the teleprompter is there to help them

  • I can't help but to think that if maybe we stop throwing labels around, maybe, just maybe we might stop getting labelled.

If it doesn't feel good to you,why the freak would you cause another to have to go through it.It's our world, and we have to live in it.Let's make it one that we all enjoy.

  • Its funny, that no American president has address the British Parliament, and honestly i cant think of any president capable of doing it except him.....one has to admire the intelligence even if u disagree with his policies

  • @CKweme Actually in truth he most likely had an aid who compiled this speech and he just read it out aloud from the 2 clearly seen teleprompters. Simple as that.

  • Obama hates free countries. He apologizes to dictator-ruled countries for what free countries stand for.

  • @truthforamerica -_- please, NEVER breed...the world cannot handle too many people with your extreme level of ignorance. We don't need another "dark ages"...moron...

  • Obama can eat dick

  • @SouthernSalute just because you enjoy it, doesn't mean Obama would...run along faggot

  • @SouthernSalute shut up redneck. go watch fox news bitch.

  • @SouthernSalute He no doubt must have learned His apetite from a well practiced southern gent!

  • When I watch this something comes to mind. Could you imagine someone like Michele Bachman or Sarah Palin delivering a speech with this much dignity or intelligence? It's funny if you think about it. Just a thought, that's all. I hope no one gets too offended by that. People have different strengths and talents... that's all I'm saying.

  • @palus666 exactly haha!

  • Great speech Mr.President you sure make us Americans verry proud!OBAMA 2012!

  • This is when Obama still had his "I killed Osama, bitches" swagger.

  • "special relationship"??? INSANE. Why do our politicians see it fit to link ourselves in a one sided alliance with the USA. Sod them, we should stick closer to Europe (without being in the EU). France are our true allies NOT the usa.....

  • @TalonMercenary well said. I could'nt agree more its only because we are both english speacking

  • @jgourley760 Exactly. They say we are their most important allies. "Important" is the key word there

  • @TalonMercenary Funny to see you, a Frenchman, thinking we love you lot. Bollocks to that, bollocks to Europe, I'd rather align myself with the winning side, our bloodline, which is America. Back to your garlick, Frenchman

  • @Tim733733 oh really? You REALLY think i'm French????????? Go back to your hamburger Yank, i'm ENGLISH and proud

  • very nice speaking puppet. Such hypocrisy and lies.

I wish the secret societies would just come out and stop all this deceitful manipulations. Please stop the wars, take fluoride out of our drinking water, reintroduce the Trivium / Quadrivium to the educational system, ban GMO food, stop the deep propaganda in the major media. Then may be we the people of the world can really be free to grow...... damn the Oligarchy

  • @letsgomd wow i finaly found some with no balls, no heart and who only looks at the shit in the world not the positives, go live your life in fear you pussy.

  • 22:57

    Piracy? seriously?

  • President Obama is a good and intelligent man. I just hope that Americans will have the presence of mind to vote him back at the next election.

  • @Pinnertop he's also deeply anti-British and wishes to remove our sovereignty by encouraging a federal Europe, and is forcing us into another Argentine war by 'encouraging' talks between our nations over the Falklands, or 'Las Malvinas' as he prefers to call them. As for the repatriation of the bust of Churchill that we gave as a gift after 9/11, we'll leave that for another day.

He holds no regard for the fact that Britain has sacrificed the most men in the war on terror. He's an idiot.

  • @Pinnertop No, he isn't. He hates Britain, and for that he's an absolute prick

  • @TalonMercenary Eveverybody Hates Britain!!!!!!an their anoying accent!!lol

  • @thikabouit oh the irony, an American telling a Brit that everyone hates our country. I could go on for hours about how ridiculous your comment is

  • @TalonMercenary It's fair to say that both the US and the UK have their shares of international hatred directed towards them, but do acknowledge the much more long-lasting damage British imperialism has even today.

  • @MegaTouchy Is it a coincidence that some of the greatest, most prosperous places on earth are former British colonies?

USA, Canada, Australia, NZ, Hong Kong, South Africa, Malaysia Singapore

Gibraltars economy is BOOMing next to poor Spain.

Even the Falkland Islands are now a prosperous & self-sustaining colony, at the bottom of the south Atlantic.

What a shame the Brits didn’t colonize the entire world, what a nicer planet we’d have now.

  • @wank0r Sure, there are some good apples of the bunch, but the U.S. and many other nations that gained their independence either had to work their way back to their current prosperity or are still suffering long-term damage. Plus, you're doing away with the horrible ethical violations and the ruination of many other African and Asian nations. It was mainly Britain's luck that they faced such weak resistance among the natives they conquered.

  • @MegaTouchy If the Brits hadn't conquered... the Spanish would have. Look at what shitholes south america is. Can you imagine a world full of little cuba's and mexicos? Somehow i don't think mankind would have advanced as much as it has today :)

  • @wank0r It's difficult to say how the US would've turned out if it was captured by the Spanish, as that's mainly speculative of history. Also, the US worked its way from a fragile, divided nation into the superpower it is today without much help from the British Empire. The Empire only planted the seed for the US, but that's mostly it.

  • @MegaTouchy I wasn't discussing the US.. i think the US became a superpower on the back of British war debt, German Scientists and slaves but that's another story :-D

I'm talking about the world. Imagine how Aus, Canada, NZ all those prosperous colonies

  • @wank0r Actually, the UK's fall in terms of power and economy damaged the US because of our trade relations. German scientists did help the US but not so much to the point that they the US depended on them. Many American scientists and other noble American noble figures contributed to the US's success. As for slaves, they only helped during the 1800s and only for the South. As for the world, you're still ignoring the many other countries that are still suffering from British colonization.

  • @MegaTouchy we're getting way of track here.. i was replying to the "long-lasting damage British imperialism has even today" comment.. pretty retarded. I guarantee if the people of great britain didnt go exploring all those years ago the world would be a worse place today. and i doubt we'd have had men on the moon, internet, democracy spread everywhere

  • @wank0r That original comment was from me, and I'm expanding on it, explaining how the effects of imperialism are still seen today. We witness many third-world nations in much worse situations because of the British Empire siphoning their resources in the past. The achievements, including the Moon landings, of former British colonies had little to do with the UK's help. Yes, I commend the indirect spread of democracy and other noteworthy effects, but those results were never intentional.

  • @MegaTouchy You're just another over-the-top patriotic American. im British so we're more modest about our achievements ;) . but i say EUROPEAN colonization in general made this planet better. Else there would be more uncivilized spear-throwing sand niggers around the planet, there would be no internet, no youtube and mankind would never leave our solar system :)

  • @wank0r Yet, European colonization in Africa (I'm assuming by "uncivilized spear-throwing sand niggers around the planet," you mean most of Africa), which was more British, disturbed Africa's natural social evolution. Africans didn't weren't disturbing the rest of the planet until the British decided to forcibly colonize them. There are a lot more ignorant fallacies I could point out in your logic, but the character limit prevents me. I take it you're just Eurocentric.

  • @MegaTouchy There are tribes today still throwing spears around for 1000s of years, they do not develop.

  • @wank0r Then should it be in our best interest to colonize them? Not only would that be infringing on their innate rights, but that's downright arrogantly selfish. They do develop, just slower than us. The main reasons why their slower in developing technology is because of their environment, e.g. different crops, animals, etc. They would've developed just as easily as us had they been in different areas of the world. The amount of melanin shouldn't mean anything.

  • @MegaTouchy umm The arab states are "developing slowly" yet the Americans still insist on colonizing democracy all over the place :) Also the resources issue .. I'm seeing many parallels between the Brit Empire and the American Empire. The only evidence needed to prove the Yanks truly are our Anglo-saxon children :)

  • @wank0r The US doesn't want to conquer "all over the place" but instead seeks global democracy through peaceful measures, which the British Empire never wanted to do. Of course, most understand that not every country wants to follow suit to democracy. I never claimed that the US wasn't a spawn off of the UK, just that we share certain traditions and ideals, but that just means that we're good allies.

  • @MegaTouchy peaceful measures?/ you mean b-52,s cruise missiles and the Abrams tank LOL

  • @wank0r Of course, foreign relations is a very complicated subject, and depending on the situation, different degrees of violence should be employed in order to achiever a utilitarian result, though attaining those results have been debated all across the US. Besides, almost all the US's wars after WWII were severely opposed by some groups, regarding those methods of trying to reach those results. Plus, the British Empire never sought peace by invading foreign lands.

  • @MegaTouchy that's hilarious comparing different ages to modern society and trying to say its different than the British empire... o really? Libya never asked for nato's help but Obama still went for it... bush invaded iraq for WMD's that weren't there.. i don't think your countries government even has a clue what its doing... to be honest its doing the same thing as the british empire but more slowly and through quiter channels then just doing w/e they want so.

  • @MegaTouchy you know what's funny also.... America didn't even want to be in world war two they would of happily let us get on with getting our ass's kicked by the Nazi's the polls from back then showed they don't want to get evolved then after world war II the Americans feel all empowered and shove there military wherever they please for the better part of the last century GOOD JOB with that "global democracy".

  • @xeNeonification Did you bother reading my initial comments? I was mainly discussing the more devastating effects the British Empire afflicted globally. Plus, I actually greatly disagreed with the Iraq War, but the US' involvement in the Libyan revolution had better intentions and effects. Regardless, these military conflicts are just examples of the US' conflicting parties trying to determine how to effectively use their country's power, of which can't be said of the British Empire.

  • @xeNeonification You're kinda right in that the US didn't want to get involved in WWII, but they wanted some impetus to join the war (Pearl Harbor). I agree that the US used its power stupidly many times (mostly because of Republicans), but that doesn't mean they're shoving their military everywhere. The US had a brief imperialistic phase, but any sort of such remaining is largely an innocent result of them being an empire and hegemonic power simultaneously.

  • @MegaTouchy

    "Global democracy"

Haha, that was a good one.

  • @MrValzen Eh, that was my paraphrasing of wank0'rs "Americans still insist on colonizing democracy all over the place" belief.

  • @MegaTouchy the British Empire took control of places with uncivilized tribes or with no civilization at all (North America, Africa, Australia, Carribean Islands & Pacific Islands)

the only place the British Empire took control of with an advanced society was India and that was through peaceful trade deals

the Empire more or less took the countries it took control of up from the gutter and turned them into leading forces in the world

Eg.. Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, U.S, N.Z. etc

  • @MegaTouchy And you can shut your fucking filthy mouth the British Empire benefitted almost every nation which was a member

(Eg. South Africa) is the only country in Africa which is not third world

But hey, you Americans could be greatful that we ever colonized you because if we didn't the Spanish would of also had the East Coast of the U.S so you lot would be living in shanty town drug run shitholes with a poor government or dictator just like most of South America

  • @DaleWF10 Contrary to your Eurocentric teachings, humanity's evolutionary psychology naturally develops in such a way as seen repeatedly throughout civilizations historically internationally, e.g. the coincidental developments of Japanese and European feudalism despite not having any associations during their times. The same held true for natives of the said places; it's just that their environments, e.g. crops, animals, impeded their advancements.

  • @DaleWF10 In relation to the topic at hand, it's incredibly pompous to claim that those said places were "uncivilized tribes or with no civilization at all." Most, if not all, of such places had plenty of developing native confederations. Sure, some places benefited, but they were at the costs of the native populations. Almost all of the listed places are predominantly of European descent, largely because of the subjugating and/or massacring of the respective native peoples.

  • @TalonMercenary

Because certain Americans actually define the stereotype of being "American" (Fat, Ignorant, and Arrogant) which I guess is true in some cases considering the fact that we're pampered by the media... and the fact that we've been told all our lives that we're a "World Superpower" but even I know its "Who has the most Nuclear Warheads" so it doesn't matter anyway. But yes, everyone hates the United States, haha, sad but true...

  • @thikabouit I'll take notice of what you have to say when you can compose a grammatically accurate sentence in our language, you obtuse minded cretin.

  • Obama joke ftw, a president with a sense of humour and the right intentions, now THATS a president

  • Such a good joke at about 4:10 hahahahahh

  • longest and strongest alliance?????? Fuck off!!!!! England (not necessarily Britain) has had a very strong alliance with Portugal since the 1300s, long before America was even colonised or even discovered for the majority of Europe

  • He may seem so friendly in these speeches but he secretly loathes Britain for what we did in Kenya in the 1950s. Fuck you!!!!!!

  • Please change the name of our nation in the video description from Great Britain to the United Kingdom. Its politically incorrect. Thankyou.

  • AMERICA HAS THE OBAMA BLUES !

    VOTE RON PAUL 2012

    CLICK AND LISTEN

  • @09051961butts Nah. No thanks.

  • Obama will be Toast in the 2012 Elections!

Not because Bush,Republican's,Scooby do, japan or any other bull shit he can try and dream up.

Because, He is in over his head! He is a freaking Clueless community organizer from the streets of Chicago. :-(

I understand you Lib's thought this man was GOD, I am sorry that your bubble was busted. He's just a robot that stops talking as soon as you kick the TelePrompTer over! :-(

  • How about the honor of running our country. Try doing that right. Stop pissing on our friends and allays and bowing to our enemies thinking if we kiss their behind they won't want to kill us. By the way, the rule of law was established a little bit before the English. Several thousand years before, when populations became civilizations. Granted they didm't have the Magna Carta or The Constituton, but they way you are destroying our country it's not as if we do either.

  • @MostAmericans Um, I think you don't quite understand what the rule of law is. It's not the same thing as simply having laws. It means the supremacy of the law over everyone. The rule of law, rather than the rule of a king or a dictator. China has plenty of laws (more than America), but it doesn't have the rule of law. The Magna Carta didn't mean the rule of law, but it was a step towards that, by limiting the powers of the king, making even him subject to some laws. That's what it means.

  • If only he had a twin

  • Great great

  • Long to be free? That's why you are gonna pry on them more and more? Come on, Obama, enough of the platitudes.

  • wow a good speaker

  • Comment removed

  • the BRITISH not the ENGLISH we were unified by the time of the empire

  • @jamesanator1000 Do you not hate when somebody calls you british :L?

Im irish but i get called "british" alot over xbox etc, I mean you're not english, scottish AND welsh :S You're one of them :S. Just sayin' :D

  • USA + UK = Griffin

  • I love how courteous, elegant, dignified and compassionate the British point of views in this are! It always inspires me. And I think Obama's speech is correct, and I'm glad it was said because it's the right answer.

  • @SnickleFritz79 Ronald Reagan only adressed the House of Commons though and Barack Obama adressed the House of Commons and House of Lords

  • @sysrq120 They get 40 million a year in tax money but British citizens benefit 160£ a year from the monarchy through tourism

  • I cannot tell you how proud I am to have this man as my President and to know that my country is aligned with Great Britain. Our two countries share a bond that runs deeper than others and has been tried by two wars, and the Cold Cold war. I hope we continue to work together in the future to set an example to the world for Democracy.

  • i love how bold and unique our architecture. this hall is amazing

  • The Vikings only found what would become Canada.

  • my oat meal taste good

  • Im fed up of this 'special friendship' shit. Our countries hate each other; always have done.

  • @MegaLolburger Shut up man this world has too much hate to have petty indifferences. America needs a friendly hand now more than ever, and I am overjoyed that this country shares similar cultures, languages, and and proud and respectful citizens. I am proud to be an American and I am proud to say, God Save the Queen!

  • @shaunnebenzahl This patriotic bullshit is pathetic.

I wouldnt call an insatiable hunger for power a petty indifference. Both countries are governed by self serving deceptive arseholes. The fact we share a language and have a similar culture is pretty meaningless in the long run... God screw the Queen and the rest of the monarchy.

  • @MegaLolburger False, Britain hates America but not the other way around.

  • God bless you Obama

  • who's the pompous prick delivering the opening address?

  • @john34bkk speaker of house of commons

  • @john34bkk He's the one who tells politicians to shut up.

  • Obama is a two-faced fuck. Not fooled.
