  • Bravo to you for "waking up to the whole food thing"! Have you seen the doc 'Forks Over Knives'? Very enlightening! Thanks for your peanut butter video...I'm gonna make soem today!

  • Great video!!! Congrats to you for waking up!! I almost cried! Never give up!

  • Great video! I added 2 my favorite. Thanks! :)

  • watch?v=Z0hn0OJa-J0

  • how long does it last? the storage life?

  • its look so tasty :D can u make cookies with that pinut butter ? if yes, omg :D !!!

  • can i switch the peanut oil for common butter?

  • Do you think we can use olive oil instead of peanut oil?

  • @lauls85 yes you can, she said it in the video.

  • Wow, that was a very good how-to video.

  • can we add honey?

  • @dave2extreme It says so in the beginning of the video.

  • man that looks sexy when you're starving. :| i better go make food before i starting licking my screen

  • This is a great video. Now all I need now is to learn how to make some Jam lol. How long can I store this for?

  • I've been looking for a recipe for peanut butter as I used to buy the natural one (With nothing added. no salt, sugar...) but yes they are very expensive. Thanks for sharing your video and I will give it a go now...but perhaps without the sugar, salt but just add honey. Peace.

  • 6:47 a fart ?

    Good recipe!

  • @RuStyle777 <--- I heard that too xD

  • I make mine the same way, just that I use honey for my sweetner, and you are right, dry roasted unsalted is the best to use, others are too salty. tyvm for sharing.

  • This recipe isn't healthy at all! I was hoping for some natural peanut butter recipe :( without added sugar or salt.

About agave nectar: this is the worst sweetener in the world! Even if it has a low glycemic index, agave nectar is all fructose, it's like fructose syrup! You people must stay away from this nectar; Google is your friend for more info :)

  • @edygh79 If you want to leave out the sugar and use stevia that is your choice. I make mine the way I want to. You can use Demarrara or Turbinado oragnic sugar. I am giving people choices. Your opinion is that this is not "healthy" however this is much healthier than what is sold in the store. It is an option for those who cannot afford the over priced organic versions. Since I made this video I have learned about the Agave. However it is not all bad.

  • @edygh79 The most "natural" way to make peanut butter is to simply grind peanuts. You don't need to add other ingredients if you don't want to.

  • Awesome video

    looks delicious!

  • Congratulations on your new awareness. It's been a wake-up call for many of us. Cheers to healthy home-made goodness!

  • Never trust a skinny cook!! lol

  • LOL my mom loves peanut butter and her name is norine 2, how ironic

  • hi there....u should check out the raw food diet.....dan the man and many others

  • MY GOD is your husband a lucky man! That peanut butter looks so delicious I cannot wait to make my own in the morning. By the way have you ever tried using extra virgin olive oil?

  • thank u for sharing

  • im going to try this tomorrow then i will be proud to say "I MADE PEANUT BUTTER"

  • Looks amazingly good but I think you'd get much smoother results with a Vitamix blender and I would skip any sort of sodium or sugar or molasses.

  • Very nice. Freshly made peanut butter is delicious! We tried making cashew butter, too. Thanks for a very informing video!

  • u really make me hungry... i want peanut butter... but hows to make chunky peanut butter??

  • @drbarziela91 i would make it like that. BUT before, take some peanuts, without oil and grind them to the size you like. And add the end add it to the smooth peanut butter

  • Thanks for the vid! Hope you have a great day :)

  • Yes we do. But i don't think we have unsalted roasted peanuts. And yeah organic Food rules!

  • Love the recipes!

  • Thank You So Much : ) I'm an american living in Italy now and finding peanut butter here is hard and very expensive. Just made this and I'll never go back to ready made ; )

  • But in Germany we don't have unsalted roasted

  • @schloddex3

Well you have a lot of bio markets in Germany, I know that cause I've been in one, in Berlin... And I'm sure that the other cities have organic shops....

  • Thank you so much!!!

  • Great Video! Your adorable! I'm going to try this.

  • @mpugliano so you can control yourself how much salt you want, or if you want any at all

  • Canola oil is not dangerous. It's safe oil. If you are worried about erucic acid in it, you don't need to worry...it's very low in canola oil. I don't know where you got the info of that it's like an industrial insecticide.

  • hi noreen, im writing to you about the peanut butter- can you can peanut butter?i know you have a pressure canner -and im asking in case you have tried it.

is it possible to can it? i read somewhere that peanut plants give 1 pound per bushel. i would like to try to grow some next season in my plastic garbage bins.

oh and can you can marshmallow fluff? i love marshmallow tea! from the real althea plant.thanx

  • IS THIS HEALTHIER THAN STORE PEANUT BUTTER

  • OMG I love you. You're adorable!! Great tip with the brown rice syrup, I had never heard of it before.

  • @readingrocks2000 This is like 4 months after you posted; But I've seen sunflower seed butter. I would look into making that. Tastes good. :D

  • can u use splenda?

  • I used your video to make my own peanut butter for the first time the other night and it was great thanks for your video :)

  • Any other oils that we could use?

  • Finally! Someone else who is not enamored with canola oil! That stuff is scary and sometimes it is processed with mercury as is high fructose corn syrup. Love your videos, Noreen.

  • I liked your canola oil joke. It was funny and true XD

  • @MissPonderosa Joke?

  • @atticus9799 'when canola oil is nothing more than an industrial insecticide' Ok..so maybe i see a joke in everything...actually i'll be honest. I skipped a couple of segmants in the vid and happend to come to that moment in time and it seemed like you were being sarcastic but serious at the same time. my bad. Still good vid! I also agree, they put so much crap into food (even fruit and vegs look unnatural these days...I try to stay away from refined carbs & sugars!)

  • @MissPonderosa No worries. I can tend to be a bit on the sarcastic side, but I guess it is my way of helping my viewers to absorb the information. Some people just refuse to believe that our food system is full of poisons and non foods and I believe this is the main reason for the high instance of Type 2 diabetes, child bearing troubles, cancer, autism and ADHD in our country. I think that High Fructose Corn Syrup and GMO foods are the reason for a lot of these problems. Whole foods are best

  • Its so weird, it looks really yummy but i would die if i ate that:P its scary being allergic to peanuts lol

  • I think using honey would make it deliciousssss

  • im alergic to penuts so can i use something besides penut oil

  • @Readingrocks2000 @Readingrocks2000 Well, if you are allergic to peanuts, then I guess you wouldn't be making peanut butter now would you. Seems to me that someone allergic to peanuts may or may not also be allergic to tree nuts. however if one is not allergic to tree nuts than they could possibly opt for almond butter and use almond oil or even cashew butter and cashew oil or walnuts and walnut oil.

  • @atticus9799 o lol thnks ill try walnut butter

  • @atticus9799 o wait how u make almond butteer

  • @atticus9799 MY mom came across this recipe and we made it and it really did taste like the real stuff. But we used a cold pressed grapeseed oil instead of peanut oil, brown rie syrup and it was great.

  • ( LOL at the fart at 6:45 )... Also... If you want a peanut butter that is like what is in a reese's cup... blend in some fine grain white sugar (not powdered sugar), and a small amount of chocolate syrup. Yumm !!!!. It is great on toast, especially if you are craving chocolate and there is none in the house !!!.

  • does it taste like the peanut butter that you can buy in the grocery store? I absolutely love peanut butter, but I want to be able to make it myself. I really dislike the all natural jars they sell, so i was looking for a recipe that would taste like the store brand, but would also allow me to control what went into it!

  • @mpugliano probably so that you can add as much salt as you'd like without being limited to what's on the peanuts :)

  • I really enjoyed this, I felt like I was sitting in your kitchen with you making peanut butter

  • I like how the light hit the oil just as you pointed the camera at it, it looked like it was glowing :D

  • where did you get the brown rice syrup? I am so gonna try to make this when I get the ingredients, thanks for sharing:-)

  • I'm kinda disturbed to find out canola oil is just oil from Canada made from something called a "rape"seed

  • Dumb question, how could you can this to keep in storage? Thank you for your videos!!

  • :3 awesome.

  • @mpugliano yeah i dont get that either... :S

  • yummm yummmmmmmmmmm

  • Could I use liquid splenda or some sort of low carb sweetner other then syrup or honey?

  • @fraser8402 I wouldnt suggest it. That stuff is very bad for you and quite honestly honey will do better for your health. Yolu dont need all the chemical crap thats in sweetner. And carbs in honey? Honey is extremely healthy. Its a nice alternative to sugar.

  • I just made this today. It was so simple! I used honey and it had the perfect balance sweetness to it that store-bought peanut butter didn't have. Thank you very much

  • im gonna have to leave this computer for a moment, you made me hungry :D

  • I really liked this! Thanks for the info about the crap they put in our food! I'm going try to try this out. LOL. THANKS AGAIN :)

  • Brown rice syrup? I've never heard of this, but I'm interested. This makes perfect sense in making your own peanut butter. And I've read of the horrors about Canola oil.

I'm craving a peanut butter sandwich right now. Very good video!

  • im gonna make this today thanks

  • Hi Noreen! I'm becoming more aware also and "love" you did this recipie. No more store bought for me! Thanks so much! Sally :)

  • Interesting, I was under the impression that Canola oil was better then vegetable oil. I guess I better look it up again. Peanut butter looks great! Checked Webmd and they give it a thumbs up, they say it is misunderstood and the rumors are incorrect.

  • @gerald2003r I would not let WebMD be your only information source. Of course it is always your choice to use whatever oil you want, after my own research I find that I choose not to use canola oil at all. If you are interested, you should do more research into GMO crops and Monsanto. Canola is a made up name Can coming from the word "Canada" and ola coming from the abbreviation "oil low acid" the crop has been genetically modfied to be nutritionally void. Look it up. Thanks for watching.

  • Interesting, I was under the impression that Canola oil was better then vegetable oil. I guess I better look it up again. Peanut butter looks great!

  • This is a useful recipe for a person, who has magnesium deficiency. Instead of peanuts just cashew and almonds. Thanks for another way to make those medicines eatable.

  • Found out today that I have an "allergy" to peanuts and whole bunch of other stuff from a blood test I had done recently. But I can hazelnuts and walnuts. Almonds weren't tested. Gonna be interesting doing this with other nuts. lol. Thanks for the vid. Always better to make at home. Local health food store has a station where I can freshly grind peanuts there. Just another option for those that want better quality control. :)

  • Nice job Noreen!

  • Geez Noreen..... Seems like there isn't anything you won't tackle.....and I simple love it. Thanks for posting this! I would try this if I had a food processor......

  • I've been making our peanut butter for awhile now. SO much better tasting than store bought. One thing I'll do is make a runnier batch and pour it on ice cream with chocolate syrup - YUM!!

  • Awesome video Noreen! I hope all is well and life is treating you wonderfully! I hope you have a blessed week!

  • Good to hear your doing well. Codex Alimentarious sucks as well as McCain's anti-supplement bill. This does not mention Obama executive order on food last summer. Wish you well and enjoy your videos as always.

  • @notyranny1 Note that is EO 13544. Scientific standards is code for what standards make the industries and the mega international corporations money. Don't expect them to endorse the healing remedies of cayenne and garlic. Rather they will work to prevent access to all natural supplements that have healing powers.

  • awesome!

  • I like the way you think. Should home-made be stored in the fridge? Or are we ok to leave it out and sealed?

  • @SleestaksRule I would highly recommend you refrigerate this and make small portions. Unlike the store bought brands this has no preservatives and thus is very perishable. Adam's peanut butter (The closest major brand to homemade) Recommends that you refrigerate their peanut butter after you open it. Also note that this will separate so be prepared to stir it if needed.

  • @SleestaksRule I have kept this jar out on my counter for a week and it is fine. When you put it in the fridge it tends to be really hard to spread and who wants that? I figure that this will get eaten long before it goes rancid, so I'm not going to worry. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Awesome! My mom used to make homemade peanut butter when I was a kid, thanks for the recipe.

  • @AnnieNM06 There is no such thing as a "Canola" plant this is the rapeseed plant that was re-marketed as "Canola" which is a combination of the words Canada and Oil. Do a little more digging and you will find that what I say is true. They do in fact use Canola oil as an insecticide and the "canola" or rapeseed plant is one of the biggest GMO crops harvested by the evil empire of Monsanto. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Would honey roasted peanuts work? Then you don't have to add anything for a sweetener?

  • @oldwarhorse1865 Yes, I think they would work fine, but I would definitely pay attention to the ingredients in them.

  • @atticus9799 ALWAYS!!! I WAS A LABEL READER WHEN LABEL READING WASN'T COOL!! LOL

  • wow im gonna try this :)
