Wow I like what you have done to your pine stairs. I also want to do the same to my pine stairs but never got around to it, now this makes me want to go and start that project. I was wondering if you used a conditioner before applying the stain? And if yes, did you sand after conditioning or just went straight to staining afterwards. By the way good job, it looks really good!
Most are but there is some concrete. Start at the top stair and pull back a corner. It will be easiest to put back if needed.

After using a ton of latex paint remover I did a good sanding. Then 3 coats of minwax stain and then two more coats satin poly.

Yea I might try the latex paint remover, I was going to use a heat gun and a scraper but if that doesn't work out I'll have that in mind. Thanks!

You see the bottle I got from H/D about 13 seconds into it. The stuff works great!
