@blacksoul666guitar The "realism" as you call it, isn't determined by the 3D software you use, it's determined by the skill of the modelers/animators. And maybe some plugins that help in creating realistic physical environments. It has nothing to do with whether you use Softimage|XSI, 3DSmax or Blender. :)

Anyway i think the animators skill has not much to do with realism (at least with blender)

I got somewhat like 0 skill and blender do the physics thing for me

whoever uses this program i advise you to switch to blender

we didn't use Softimage|XSI for fun but rather because it is an industry standard (besides maya and 3dsmax). Blender is a nice little freeware tool for making models and animations at home or in little companies, but it would note make much sense for a university of applied science to teach their students small-but-nice programs which are currently not very popular in the industry. :)

I realize this video is almost two years old, however I thought I should give some friendly critique anyway. Well I can see that a few of the dominoes in between 22 seconds and 24 seconds have their normals off, along with parts of the bridge in the second scene. Otherwise a pretty excellent animation for a student. I really enjoyed the slow motion rag doll part. Though I'm quite sure that's what you wanted as the highlight of the video.
