Cool amp and webpage. I built a pp using torroids and kt77's. sounds good but only does 25 watts. thinking of building yours next. Is your schematic up to date with the corrections you made to it and what transformers did you use(part numbers)? Thanks
@CassetteMaster Thank you very much. You're really good with tape recorders yourself: I tried the Windex fix on my GE rewind problem and it worked! Thanks for the advice.
WOW impressive amp! ive wanted to build a tube amp for some time now, but i still have only a vague understanding of bias voltages, phases and other such things. idk maybe if i find a simple amp you could help?
@codemsan I'd be glad to help. Simple amps are really easy because you don't need to worry about bias or phasing. Phasing matters with unless negative feedback: if you get it wrong, it screeches, if you get it right, it works, pretty easy!
@AllAmericanFiveRadio It's sitting on the shelf right now, but at least I got to demonstrate in the video on my channel. I think it sounds quite nice with good power reserve.
where would you go to learn this, and what test equipment needed to check ?

@rcmoot I just looked it up online. You need the resistor and oscilloscope.

@foamman75 Thanks! The schematic appears to be up to date (available on my website or from the KT88 Amp's video description). Transformers are:
Hammond 278X power
Hammond 1650N output

Very nice job! I hope you are still using it. Good looking amp too, should produce some great audio.
