  • @guinmaan You know nothing.

  • A little food for thought. Based on Toyota's U.S. financial reports, 78.2% of the money invested in each Tundra goes to the people who assemble them (U.S. citizens). 15.5% goes to dealers, shipping companies, markerters who make those godawful commercials, etc. (U.S. citizens). The last 6.3% goes to profits. Does Japan get most of the profits? Does that really matter? 93.7% of the money stays in the U.S. Can't say the same about Mexican-built F-150s (with no offense to Mexicans).

  • Obviously some money is going back to Toyota Japan, but it does stay here as well...some support to our country. I don't know about you, but I have a strong gut feeling that Toyota employees here in the US are spending their money here...instead of flying to Japan on pay day.

  • Google auto manufacturers domestic content - ALL domestic companies have more content% and more employees, plus the profits stay in U.S. Toyota takes total advantage of us in EVERY way possible and will only hire and assemble in U.S. to maintain market viability! Poor jobs anyways! Don't cry about Unions because ALL Japanese auto plants over there are unionized! This guy on this video is a total moron.. the Turdra frame is the laughing stock noodle of the 1/2 ton segment!

  • @guinmaan ....don't toyotobots know about Toyota's 2 billion $ Japanese gov't bail out in 09?! Clearly Toyota loves it's most loyal market % customers in California as they've just shut their plant and laid off over 1000 people! Showing that they really care about Americans!

  • Toyota: Workers in USA Too Dumb to Employ!!!

A car manufacturing plant will open in Ontario rather than a state in the southeastern US. Why? Because people in Canada have a better education, are easier to train, and have lower health care costs due to Canada's universal health insurance. Education matters.

  • nice video.dear muslim brother's and sister's plz pray for my success.

  • The resale is high because most Americans think that all foreign mad trucks are better and they keep going back to buy them, and putting the word out that American trucks and cars are no good so that's why we are now in a recession.

Buy American and build a better future for your kids..

  • mmm the Tundra is made in America...

  • And not by a high school drop out making 80 bucks an hour... the reason the american car companies are failing is the UAW... Now they own good portions of those companies.. They should have been left alone to die...

  • dont be a fag dude...buy american is getting old ..SUPER OLD....they are bankrupt for a reason u dumbshit

  • that's why america is where it is now in the septic tank, cause all you you all send your money and jobs over seas..

  • Foreign dealers give jobs to america. Think about it, without Honda, Nissan, Toyota, or other imports, there would higher percentage of unemployed people seating at home.

  • so where is the money going??? not to the US

  • you are stupid!

  • @lake737 kiss my ass u fuckin prick..you dont konw shit

  • it's funny to see why the Uk and other places say the US people are so dumb and you just prove there point!!!!!!

  • @lake737 you sir are gay....i am an american ...but i only buy japanese cars....i'm not your typical american who will dump 20,000+ into a piece of shit american car...fag

  • And you sir are an ass! I too am an American who will only buy the best trucks ever made to this date and it's not those Jap. Junks that can't carry a bail of hay, with out dancing all over the road. if you have no clue we were talking about trucks and not cars....

  • I just sold that POS. that could not handle the loads I need to carry. and the next person that got it seems to be happy with it but for me it was Crap. could not pull my boat, could not carry a load. all it has is looks for nothing...

My new Ford works just fine doing it all...

  • James S. Chanos built one of the largest fortunes on Wall Street by foreseeing the collapse of Enron and other highflying companies whose stories were too good to be true.

Now Mr. Chanos, a wealthy hedge fund investor, is working to bust the myth of the biggest conglomerate of all: China Inc.

  • If we as a people had stayed together and do as the some other countries then we all would be oil rich, because the money would stayed here in the US and go to the ones who need help and make more jobs...

  • thinking like that is why they are bankrupt fool. and that's why European people say US people are so Dumb. go to collage and learn something I hope..

  • First of all, you are in the recession because of Iraq. Second of all, Tundra is better you just havent droven it yet, Third of all, me buying American trucks wont help the economy, it would need the whole United States to buy the trucks so that the economy will do a bit better.

  • What do you think is better for us, to buy an American car built in another country or a foreing car built here in the states?

  • More money will stay inside our borders if we bought foreign vehicles here

  • @ mgallegos55 why would you say that?

if I come to your house and sell you a candy bar do I leave the money in your house, or do I take it with me? All funds from Foreign sales do not stay in the US to get taxed and that is why the caymans Islands got so rich and there are more banks than people there... think about it!!

  • US trucks and the corvette are built in the US and the bulk of all foreign cars and trucks are built in another country.. get your facts straight. My brother works for Ford..

  • @lake737 really thats weird because ford makes shit in mexico and colombia now yes they do make stuff in america and so does toyota so either way they are both putting america to work and they are putting people to work in other countries

  • @ MILKMEN123, True but the profit from ford and GM stays in America and get taxed in the US, the profit and bulk from T, H, M, and the rest goes out of the US and is not taxed..

check it out on the capital hill web site..

  • thts where you are wrong the money that they dont use in america dosnt get used because china has this big amount of american money and if thy were to transfer it to chinese money they would have something like 13 trillion ( i saw this on abc so dont say im wrong) so they are stuck ith american mney unless they use it to pay the workers so the money mostly goes to ther american workers

  • You saw what it would be in their money but the truth is they put the money in Euro and banks outside of the US.. to keep money in USD and in the US they will loose big time, I have a lot of big banker friends, so I should know..

trust me US workers in Toyota don't get paid half as much as Detroit workers who make $75 per hour.. check it out and see.... you have a lot to learn when it comes to big companies and their money..

  • why do you think the swiss and euro banks are the largest in the world???

  • Noel Christian Riddell, a 10-year veteran skilled-trades worker, told the workers rights board he and another worker were fired after discussing recent media leaks about workers pay. The documents indicate Toyota is considering cutting some wages to lower overall expenses.

  • USD is down thanks to US people buying too many goods from out side the US and we are falling very fast. even big US companies put their money in off sure banks because of the USD rate to all the other currencies. think about it....

  • @lake737 bullshit you bastard...you are such an idiot

  • grow up you child and learn something other than what some DA told you...

  • As most of the world bets on China to help lift the global economy out of recession, Mr. Chanos is warning that China's hyperstimulated economy is headed for a crash, rather than the sustained boom that most economists predict. Its surging real estate sector, buoyed by a flood of speculative capital, looks like "Dubai times 1,000 -- or worse," he frets. He even suspects that Beijing is cooking its books, faking, among other things, its eye-popping growth rates of more than 8 percent.

  • Ford guy here, You idots rambling about your american shit, You do realize that most of this truck was designed AND BUILT here in America, yeah anyways, GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT.

Fast truck, wouldnt use it anything else though.

    =]

  • GO TUNDRA

    ford stands for;

    1)found on road dead

    2)dix or repair daily

  • No REAL truck uses a boxed frame, in fact tacomas are having huge problems with frames rusting out because of mud and water trapped inside the boxed frame.

The back half of the frame is tiny, I had some jackass toyota salesman tell me the back half of the truck was flimsy to help with towing. According to him you want "flex" when towing. HAHAHA, hopefully they dont fuck up the tudra dually like they did the half ton.

  • my mistake for the grammar error, hope you get what im trying to say.

  • hey roadfly were you paid by toyota to talk like that. the tundras brakes are only slightly bigger than fords and its because the tundra is heavier. while you had the wheel off you should have looked at the knuckle that holds the wheel between the upper and lower A arms and then look at the f150s and then you will see tough.BTW there frame is very flexible and the ride is horrible.i drove one to see for myself.

  • check out the vid f150 vs tundra frame strength. not even close, ford is much stronger.

  • camshaft problems, frames rotting away, toyota is way overrated by people who dont know anything about trucks! buy a real truck, buy AMERICAN!!!!

  • toyota, a japaneese corporation. i dont care if they make a truck in america and try to say its American. toyota is JAPANEESE GARBAGE, end of story. Jap Jap Jap. god dam toyota is un American!

  • The Tundra is built in Texas, w/parts made in America.

  • Yea, but the majority of toyota profits go back to where the majority of the company is, japan.

Much like how most of GM profits stay here in America.

  • @ProudAmerican08 Haha, you got told.

  • hell ya go tundra

  • While I'm knocking Japanese trucks I'll go ahead and mention that Silverado fuel economy is as good as the V6 Tacoma. And despite all of their advertising about "famously tough", I've seen many Tacomas with broken front skid plates. There's not much under that sheet metal.

  • I thought it was funny that Toyota rolled out the least fuel-efficient truck just in time for $4 gas. Good job guys. BTW, Toyota just stopped making the Tundra.

  • All I know is that I have had both a 99 chevy 1500 Z-71, and 04 ford F-150, and neither of these two trucks compare to my 07 tundra crew-max. The quility all the way around the truck is better than the ford and deffinetly the chevy. Not to say that they were junk but i believe that both manufacturers fell behind in quality aspect and now they got to play a little bit of catch-up because toyota finally has a 1/2 ton to truely compete angainst the big three.

  • OH any by the way, fully boxed frames are useless, toyotas frame is designed to flex making it more comforadeble, and they put 9 ladders up it to strengthen it. Toyota has the best quality controll and the best research, if they thought fully boxed was the way to go they would have done it. Stop knocking the tundra just because your too upside down in your domestic to buy it ok.

  • fully boxed frames useless? If toyota is more concerned about road ride quality then I sure as hell won't want it. A truck is a truck it should act like it, reason Im so against toyota trucks in general is when they break down (every car company does) you dealers get rich because regular mechanics can't work on them compared to a ford chevy or dodge that could be out of the shop in a day where as the toyota would take a week to get out of the shop. You have convinced my to stick with ford!

  • Are you comparing your 72 ford to a 08 toyota? Because take any ford and toyota of the same year to any mechanic and ask him which is easier to work on. Because sounds like you aint a mechanic since you take yours to the dealership.

  • Wow your a a dumbass If I took a toyota and a ford pickup to my mechanic/friend he and I would push the toyota outsid and work on the ford. I NEVER take my car/trucks to the dealership they have bad ways of scaming people.

  • con't: Sounds like you don't know that and sounds to me like your the one working at the dealership!

  • That's a tough senario...your mechanic would work on the Ford first for sure because he'd be familiar with it.... since toyotas don't go to the garage.

  • Ha ha toyotas are always at the garage no matter for camshafts or 4x4 components toyotas don't go to the garage my ass.

  • I have a toyota beater 1985 with over 1.2 million km's on it... runs fine.

  • See now your comparing old to new apples to oranges, and run times and durability the old stuff will always win thats when companies actually cared about quality.

  • ya, the big 3 really cared about quality back in the 80's and 90's...

If fords are so much better then why is tundra's resale value so much better?

  • I'll tell you they didn't sell and still can't sell like the big three can. I still have a firm belief that toyota and other foreign car companies shouldn't make trucks and sales figures show in the truck category that alot and I mean alot of people would agree with me on that one.

  • there is a difference between a 85 and a 07 old good new suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Finally we agree on something! Yes he would push the toyota outside because there isn't anything wrong with it. And Yes, I do work at the dealership, Yes I do scam some people. Just yesterday I sold this guy a brand new ford.

  • Yeah we pushed the toyota outside because we couldn't get the truck to stay running because of the camshaft problems. Shoot if you see them a brand new ford the customers are saying in their minds glad I didn't get a toyota or it would be at the oppisite end of the dealer in the service department!

  • ever driven a Tundra? those have horrible rear suspensions way too soft they'd work great compared to a Ranger/S10 or even a Dakota but not to a Silverado/Sierra or F150

  • get the trd suspension.

  • the TRD upgrades help offroad and a little for towing but you'd still be better off with a Ram Offroad, F150 FX4 or Silverado/Sierra Z71; plus even if the Tundra does beat one of those trucks in a certain category, there's still the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks too

  • toyota tundra is garbage, anyone who works with there truck knows to buy a ford or chevy. import trucks with there toothpick frames just dont cut it in America.

  • how is the NEW TUNDRA an import?

IT IS BUILT IN AMERICA, with AMERICAN PARTS, and AMERICAN WORKERS,

GOD DAMN LOOK THAT SHIT UP, TOYOTA built a FACTORY IN TX just to make this truck.

piss off and realize tundra is AMERICAN as much as you.

  • Yea, but the majority of toyota profits go back to where the majority of the company is, japan.

Much like how most of GM profits stay here in America.

  • yeah i guess, but you still have to consider,

all in all is was founded in japan, so wouldn't you want the profits to go to your home country if you made a produced a car overseas?

    i dont't know, just wondering.

  • i am going to try and answer that,

Most of their profits go back to japan, as that is where most of their stock holders are.

  • yeah so they have to look good for there stock holders, there keeping the company going.

  • Better brakes, better motor, better truck. Toyota has the money to put in good parts. The big 3 has no money so they use inferior parts. I'll take a Toyota Tundra anyday over the junk the big 3 makes.

  • this vid tells me nothing, except that toyota leaves room for improvement by only using box frame for the front. the guy was guessing dimensions?? how the hell do i know whats better or what other trucks have. another feeble attempt to promote the tundra.

  • You just showed how little you know. That no car or truck is more or less reliable than the other? This applies to every consumer product there is always several different levels of quality for everything. You think your KABAR knife is as good as my Busse, Fehrman, or Chris Reeve knives? Get a clue.

  • funny I just did an oil change in my condo complex, just as easy as my Tacoma, of course you have to know something about cars or trucks to change the oil, but hey I was a mechanic.

  • Thats all the strengths this truck has? HAHAHA, the frame strength BS is proved wrong in another video.

I own a 92 chevy beretta (192k) and a 94 integra gsr (124k). Ill never own another foreign car again. Most over rated crap out there.

Id love to see a DIY guy change the oil on the Yota 5.7 in his/her driveway. They will be kicking them selves in the hind end after that.

Reliability...what a bullcrap word. No car/truck is more or less reliable than another.

  • wow, he is not a mechanic, he is a tv host that doesnt know anything about cars, and no, those are not thick brakes, check out the ford brakes, rotflmfao, toyota's honesty, my car has the same size brakes, and guess wht, its a ford mustang

  • Your Rustang doesn't have 13.9" front discs. My Tundra stops way better than my '06 F150 did. It has better power, better brakes, better interior and while I can't prove it yet better build quality. I had so little confidence in that F150 that I leased it so I wouldn't be stuck with it. I bought my Tundra... nuff said.

  • you guys are retarded. the tundra is a half ton. 13 inches is big compared to any other half ton out there.

  • What are you talking about go for test drive in tundra and come here tell me how strong break it had... it's the strongest break I ever seen.

  • Your such a fucking idiot, I sold ford for 5 years you dick, those brakes wouldnt fit underneath that thing, you need a minimum of 18 inch wheelse to house those brakes. fuck I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHAT THEYRE TALKING ABOUT. GO FUCK YOUR UNCLE OR SOMTHING.

  • Not sure how good an engineer this guy is the way he builds up how strong a frame this thing has. obviously he has not seen the silver creek video. would probably have a little troubloe pulling his foot out of his mouth.

  • Haha Yes indeed, i don't like the frame on this thing. It starts with a boxed frame under the engine compartment, under the cab it's a reinforced C channel, and under the bed it's a open C channel. I like that they are changing things up and putting the big 3 on their toes.

  • Not sure how up this guy is on engineering. He sure builds the frame up. Obvious he has not seen the silver creek video depicting the tundra frame flex.

  • Good point, it was designed that way, cut UNNECESSARY weight and allowing it to flex, I bet if you put some heavy load in those trucks and take it through the same test, HEAVY AND RIGID frames would SNAP. GET EDUCATED, Yotas are built to work, not for running around with and Empty bed. Looks like ford one that contest. LMAO.

  • Type in Ford F-150 Durability and you'll see a REAL truck. The Toyota's bed flex was so extreme in the test that the bed dug into the cab. You need to wise up and get a dependable truck so you won't have to take your Toy truck to the body shop every time you hit a dip.

  • if you new anything about trucks you'd know that Tundra's frame is very similar to those on 3/4 and 1ton trucks made by ford and chevy, boxed up front and C channel in the rear, there's a good reason for this. I dare ford to test their F-350 like they did the Tundra.

  • NO I would like you to educate everyone. Im gunna throw out specs and you compare them.

    -381Bhp

-4.3 Rear diff with a 10.5 inch ring gear

-13.9In rotars on front, 13.2 rear

    -6-speed tranny with tranny warmer

    -12 bold hitch

    -deepest bed in class

-Standard ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, and side curtain airbags.

  • teamthibault your a retard. if you would like to know somthing somtime give me a message and ill educate you fuck tard. the only thing good really is the engine

  • Lol you bet I dont even have one, what a dip shit. Thats all you have? wow. This isnt a pissing contest. Weather you believe I have one or not is irelivant. Luke there is right. Who out sold Ford Last year?? hmmm i think toyota. Why are they selling so much? Iget more domestic trades for tundras then I know what to do with. Unless you wanna questoin weather I sell Toyotas too. 2008 Motor Trend Truck of the year. I guess they dont know what theyre talking aobut either.

  • your a retard you probly dont ever drive trucks

  • Toyota sold 48,226 more cars and trucks than Ford in 2007. Ford truck sales were down 5% for the year.

Toyota Tundra sales up 57%. any questions??

  • not to mention a 6 speed tranny which GM just came out with why?? hmm TOYOTA did it first. dont even get me started on the Diff the ring gear ni a tundea is bigger, stronger and thicker than a 1 ton. so next time you go out onto daddys farm take a good look at your pos and remember. its not worth anything. and you will continue to drive shit forever,Like a rock eh. lol quiet doesnt move and ugly.

  • maybe Toyota forgot to tell you they have 4 star crash test safety ratingas far as rear ends I think ford has them as an option you don't need that big with a 4 sp but you will with 6sp. Now the Tundra has a 6sp but does get lower MPG's just a few facts

  • You all clearly dont know what your talking about so im going to stop wasting my time with you yankees. Go drive your retarded domestics I dont give a shit. BUy a Chev from the plant that just closed down because they cant aford to pay workers, go buy from one of the fords plants that shut down, I dont care.

  • oh and brakes. Who was the one that said OHhHHH big brakes. Douche bag bigger surface area put 2 and 2 together retrard better braking. the tundra has a C channel frame because t has 9 ladders which make it stronger, THe whole goal was to make it flexible. the domestics have to come out with HUGE displacements like 6.1L and it still is under powered

  • and ill also roast them when I go to trade it in. WHATS MY TRADE WORTH fuck all, go to GM where they low ball you and rape you of your money.

  • you know whats funny, lol no matter what evidence people come out with to support the tundra (which happens to be the truck of the year 2008) you domesic people just wont give up. Thats ok shitty resale value constant problems high cost of ownership. I am a toyota sales man and i have also sold GM and Ford, i know 1st hand whats good and what isnt. I have a 2008 tundra 5.7L and i roast everyone who tries to touch me.

  • Who is this fag ? The toy... won't tow 10'000 pounds. It's a little bitch mobile for fags who want a truck as an accessory. All they did was buy an f150 and try to build it cheaper and sell it for more. Fuck Toyota and their piece of shit fag mobile.

  • Stop bitching and admit that this is a good truck for anybody.

And do not rip on the gays. This is not what youtube was made for

  • No this is a truck for people who don't need a truck. And who do you think you are to describe and prescribe what YOU TUBE is for ????????

  • LOOK at the fucking Community Guidelines asshole

  • It says that 10blood is an asshole faggot dumbfuck and should be force fed his med's twice daily. MOVE TO JAPAN YOU COMMUNIST FUCK> Or better yet, just end your life. just kill yourself so that the rest of the world won't have to suffer through the stupidity of a dumbfuck like yourself. It's really the only choice you have.

  • i read venomouse38 is a dumbass redneck with no balls. huh wow its ok they hae implants for that 2 now.the tundra is an american truck a bitches like you are the reason why america is called assholes. this is the country of muts we accept anyone and everything makes america free dipshit!

  • God damn! Rednecks! Bunch of fucking rednecks! Hey mousy boy! If I ever meet your I'll rip you a new one! What a waste of bandwidth. Blackrowstones, I suggest we should make haste and spend our time actually doing something worth while, these retards are too stupid to understand anything...

  • You people are a waste of time and space, 300 million sperm and your the ones who got through? Holly shit! You are a an EMBARASMENT to the Fucking UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

  • If I ever meet you I'm going to rip you a new one asshole

  • I'd welcome the opportunity ...either one of you jap loving fags. America needs to rid itself of traitors like you 2 fuck ups. Move to Japan you ignorant fucks. And I'd rather be a "redneck" than an uptight sexually repressed homosexual who has never known the pleasures of owning a Ford, or even a vehicle you couple of 12 year olds. Does your mother know thaat you're online ?

  • Toyota Tundra, The only Truck FOr GAY MEN!!!!

  • this is one BIG DISK LOL

  • that gut talks about the tundra frame being so thick and strong, check under the cab and under the bed...the farther you go back the smaller the frame gets...yep that show quality, not

  • The only thing the Open C Channel in the box hurts the Tundra in is payload capacity. They sacrificed a few hundred pounds here to provide a better overall ride quality.

  • WOW, you are admitting to a weak spot in the almighty TUNDRA. According to you the greatest truck ever built and ever will be built. I have been hearing so much hype about this truck. I am waiting for someone to call it the Jesus truck because it can drive on water. LMAO

  • Notice that all toy's have a frame mounted hitch receiver.......because their frame would buckle under less than 1000 pounds if they didn't add this member onto their frame, YOU MUST BE AN IDIOT IF YOU BELEIVE THAT toyota IS WORTH ANYTHING other than the brochure that you read. Inthe REAL World..............that P.O.C. is a rip off.

  • dude you gay!a frame mounter hitch is a bar that goes across the fram an normal hitch use to be on the bumper! shows how much yu know. and not all trucks have it you have to rquest it if your truck is one of the few without it. dude get the hell out og here the tundra is equal and plus to its competors.

  • learn how to spell

  • It's like you're trying to talk or something, like watching a monkey use tools for the first time, Like watching a 6 year old type, ....Dude, if you can't spell any better than that, how do you expect anyone to take you seriously ? Or that fag truck (that you probably don't even own) I'd be willing to bet that Toyota would tell you to Shut the Fuck Up !

  • dude your a dumbass with no life!

  • I'm sorry, did I strike a little close to home ???????

  • fuck yeah

  • these are exactly the same brakes they use on euro landcruisers. because the landcruisers were critizised for having bad brakes

  • actually, tundra has better MPG than anything higher then 250, or 2500, stop hatin on the tundra you little bitch

  • ;/ hmmm...;/

  • Oh yea, and how many times are you going to copy and paste this statement. I counted 5 different video's you pasted the same comment on earlier. I just like to know the total number so that I know when to stop looking for video's to make you look like a hypocrite on.

  • Finally my comments are all backed up and valid and more convincing than anything you have Punch. In order to keep up with your barrage of insults, false claims, inaccurate accusations and the immense amount of false information you put on here I must post two and three different posts on here each time.

  • Tundra is also rated as having better mileage than F150 and Siverado by the US Government Punch so that third point is completely invalid. It simply depends on where you are picking the 2wd or 4wd truck. I agree that the US Gov't gave the Tundra a worse crash test rating, I have all along, I don't understand how you can call me a liar on that one.

  • I didn't lie about anything punch, I never said the Tundra had better gov't safety ratings, I gave the prices from the websites in my price comparison and they had very comparable options with the Tundra slighly more equipped but still cheaper.

  • I showed the illogical thinking presented in this post while responding to it under a different video, please do not copy and paste the same comments on numerous videos Punch.

  • Wow that actually is quite funny Punch, immediately after you accuse me of spamming you copy and past something you posted from another video onto this video. I defined hypocrisy for you once, apparently you didn' take heed.

  • Punch you do not seem to understand what spamming is. These walls are made to be written on, that is what I am doing. Now when you copy and paste the same thing over and over again (do you remember when you did that) that would be considered spamming. Good way to defend against my arguments though.

  • Spamming is repeatedly writing the same message, my messages have all be different. If I remember correctly it was you that was copying and pasting one comment on 15 different posts. That would meet the definition of spamming.

  • I never lied about the Tundra's safety rating, I stated that the IIHS has a more throrough test and that the Tundra has done as good as the F150 and better than the Silverado. My tow rating comments have all been true, the Tundra Double Cab and Crew Max both tow more than the F150 Super Cab and Super Crew and my cost statements were taken directly from the Ford and Toyota websites.

  • What lies have I been spamming Punch? You woudn't consier copying and pasting the same statements onto 15 different videos comment boards to be spamming?

  • Punchpixie, You have a bizarre, some might say pathological, obsession on lambasting Toyota. I am well aware there are a number of good truck manufacturers, besides Toyota. I just prefer Toyota. You need to seek professional help for your obsession. You are becoming farcical.

  • Nice video. 2007 Tundra is superior in so many ways, from acceleration(performance) to brakes. It has raised the bar for the other manufacturers.

  • Imagine that, you tried to establish something that is untrue again. Which kind of 1/2 trucks are you talking about punch? If you go and look at those precious estimates that the EPA did on mileage they clearly state that the Tundra 2wd models get better or equal gas mileage than each of the domestics 2wd model trucks. Also, I have yet to see a review where the Tundra finished last in gas mileage taken when actually driving on actual roads, which the EPA estimates do not do.

  • Once again, false statements can not be established. Toyota has not "lost control of their quality processes" and they certainly have not canceled plans for any new factories. In fact they will be opening up a $1.3 billion dollar facility in 2010 for building SUV's in Mississippi I believe it is.

  • krickbaumt last I heard they stopped building factories here and move production back to japan. They figured out why the big 2.5 is having so many troubles with the higher cost here.

  • They are currently building 3 new factories in the US. Expected to be open by 2010 I believe. Lugnuts simply depend of the strength/guage ratings.

  • Every truck is having rebates right now punch, establishing that means absolutely nothing, especially not when you take into account past rebates on Chevy's and Fords. And you can not establish something that is not true, like your statement that Toyota has stopped plans for an HD truck, they are considering the idea of not continuing with the development with the HD truck. Those are two completely different things.

  • I wouldn't call you quoting someone in a forum establishing that the Tundra is more expensive than the F150. Especially not after I went to the Toyota and Ford websites and got the prices myself that said otherwise. I also would not call your opinion based on absolutely no facts what so ever that the camshaft problem exisits in thousands or "tens of thousands" (as you had previously said) established either. See those are opinions with no backing.

  • Yes punch I believe we have already established that point. And the IIHS did not find the Tundra "less safe" than the F150. Which we have already established as well. Do you have anything else or did you burn it all up in the 20 trucks with broken camshafts 2 months ago and the 1 Star difference between the Tundra and F150 when combining the two major crash test ratings?

  • Punchpixie, Sorry, but I have been enjoying my big engine Toyota Tundra so much, that I can't find alot of time to respond to your postings...I just love this truck so much, and invent reasons to get on the highway. While I am out in my Tundra, enjoying life, you can continue to write negative comments if you like...kind of like stewing in your own juices and bitterness. Anyway, Time to get back in my truck and go somwhere. Later.

  • Consumer Reports also chose the Ridgeline as its "Top Pick" for full size truck this year. They obviously know their trucks.

  • i see that some of the people are talking about the camshafts issue with the 5.7 V-8 tundras, theres only been 20 out of thousands and toyota are replacing parts and fixing the problem. toyota's are also replacing/giving out brand new engine for free if and when owners have this problem with their trucks. oh and the camshalfts dont explodes, dont know where that information came from.

  • Toyota says it has isolated the problem and taken care of it. Since this event happened some months ago, if it were recurring we would have heard of more cases by now. It is an irrelevant issue, as far as I am concerned.

  • I look forward to getting my new toyota tundra next week. The camshaft problem is a nonissue..20 cases out of 30,000 in an early run. It is 6 out of 10,000. Toyota has addressed the problem. Tundra's sales were radically up for May, 2007. Toyota will reach its goal of selling 200,000 units this year.

  • Nowhere in there did it say anything about Toyota "NOT BUILD ANY MORE NEW PLANTS UNTIL IT FIXES ITS QUALITY PROBLEM."

Punch, it is quite a compliment that you hold Toyota and the Tundra up to such extreme expectations. It speaks volume for your respect for this truck when compared to the other 1/2 tons on the market.

  • Am buying a doublecab toyota tundra later this month. have researched trucks and this Toyota and the Chevy were the best, altho Nissan Titan was not bad. Chose the Tundra due to its performance..5.7 liter engine. For a stock pick up, this truck moves.

  • i like toyota more than any other car company, but this new toyota tundra looks ugly. they need to go back to the drawing boards before 2008

  • the tundra is a big bully

  • While he was taking off the wheel, I noticed there were only 5 lug nuts holding it to the axle. Most trucks have 6. Is this better or worse?

  • better, casue it takes less time to take the tire off

  • Not totally sure but I think worse because the more lugnuts the more the force on each can be reduced.

  • o man truly a beast, clarckson tried to distry the small toyota truck and could not to much, think of this one.

  • @theazam that top gear thing was a fucking joke. he barely drove into the tree and practically tore the fender off! The building was a fucking joke ANY truck could look AT LEAST THAT GOOD AFTER RIDING ON TOP OF THE DEMO BUILDING! AND IT NEARLY BROKE THE RUSTY TOYOTA IN HALF! PUT IT IN THE MIDDLE THEN TALK TO ME

  • @guinmaan ....THEN THERE'S THE DRIVE IT IN THE WATER TRICK BIG FUCKING DEAL! ANY DIESEL MOTOR COULD BE RESTARTED BY THE SAME MECHANIC! TOTAL FUCKING SCAM AND LAUGHABLE! WANT TO SEE REAL TOYOTA TOUGHNESS! WATCH TOP GEAR BOLIVIA SPECIAL WHERE THE 3 LADS BOUGHT CIRCA 88 WELL USED 4X4'S AND HAD TO TRAVERSE BOLIVIA OVER THE ANDES TO COAST OF CHILE THE LAND CRUISER WAS A CONSTANT BREAK DOWN JOKE THAT DIDN'T FINISH!
