  • take a couple flat screw drivers be careful of the threads. You can wedge them in between the polymer and the tube. Drive the tube out, it's just shrink fitted.

  • Hey bro, where can I get this foregrip for my Mav 88? Thanks in advance.

  • dumbass

  • @ jjkrmain man hold up!!! That's exactly what I was going to type. That shit is funny. This dude sounds like he has a lugey stuck in his nasal passages. Mogsburg mabrick. DAMN!!

  • Dumb beaner

  • I pressed 2 and still got Spanish.

  • So, I'm slightly confused.

I own both a Maverick Model 88 12 GA. Security, and a Maverick Model 88 20 GA. Field.

From what I've gathered on multiple forums, the Maverick Model 88's forend is non-upgradeable. However, after watching your video, I can't help but notice that the forend on my Maverick 88 Security is exact to the one in the video, however the forend on my Maverick 88 Field is one-piece, with the action arms molded into it. Is this a manufacturer mix-up?

  • @Balla0529 If U got it used maybe some one changed it,or it might be a older one.

  • @Balla0529 Yeah i'm completely confused too I've seen 20 gauge forearms that have the grip on sale on ati's website that are compatible with the 500's 20 gauge model but they are identical.. and my forearm is removable.. so, it'll work? or it won't? i really don't know, i don't want to waste 50 bucks and it not work.

  • WTF is a Mogsberg Mabrick 88? I have a Mossberg 88 20 gauge that I go after quail with that works fine. Is this a cheaper cheaper version of the Mossberg Maverick 88?

  • @jjkrmain I never heard of Mossberg 88,do u mean Mossberg 500.Its just called Maverick 88,cheaper version of the Mossberg 500

  • @BIGGxDAWG210 Oh ok

  • @BIGGxDAWG210 um, it is a mossberg maverick 88. mossberg 88, maverick 88 and mossberg maverick 88 are exactly the same, with regards to gauge, field/security model and barrel length/magazine tube capacity.

  • @jjkrmain I was just laughing my ass off when I read your comment and I still can't stop laughing. I'm losing my shit over the "WTF is a Mogsberg Mabrick 88."

  • OR you could just attach a piece of rail to your forend. its easy and cheap

  • @1979aerocaprice can you do that to the default/stock forend? i got the forend with the strap on it...please help, buddy.

  • @wallywest yea you can do it to any forend. just take that strap off and get a small piece picatinny rail that has holes to mount it and attach it with screws. a scope base would work well because it has a curve cut into it. any piece of rail will work as long as it attaches with screws.

  • @wallywest I would try to sell or trade that pump for one want.People like that kind of stuff.

  • this guy sounds depressed

  • @patator2512 I am, look at all my shooting videos, its so depressing shooting guns, what will i ever do.

  • @BIGGxDAWG210 I didn't mean to be offensive , I mean the videos are ok , could you just try to be a tiny bit more entertaining ?

  • @patator2512 this guy dont know shit about guns but he is crafty but thats aol mecicans for you great thinking outisde the box

  • mav 88s parts are made in mex assembled in usa. u can buy a new 7-5/8” action slide tube for about $50, i found 2 places that sell them, one is cheaper than dirt and the other is havlin sales.. this slide is for the 7+1 shot. the 6-1/2” action slides cost about $10 less i believe. the mav is a good gun for the first time buyer like me, its cheap and who cares if it gets scratched up. for about $200 you get a nice "throw around gun." i"m still debating on the forend myself. jus my 2 cents

  • That's cool man, I thought you had to buy that inner piece separate to put on a different foregrip. Thanks.

  • american made parts. mexican assembled.

  • @LoveLifeTilDeth Are u sure I thought the parts were made in Mexico.

  • @BIGGxDAWG210 At least GM transmisions are. lol

  • @LoveLifeTilDeth its the opposite actually .Many of the parts are outsourced and made in Mexico, shipped to Texas i believe, and assembled there.

  • @LoveLifeTilDeth other way around...

  • @Mjtny77 most of the parts are american made, i believe the trigger mechanism is mexican made and it is all assembled in the us.

  • @LoveLifeTilDeth elpaso texas mexican made part but still morer reliable than a rem or bennilli

  • elpaso texas to be correct is where the 88 mavrick is made same with the black water series

  • @LoveLifeTilDeth Mexican made parts, American assembled,

  • @LoCo8NiKkA China made parts, mexican assembled..

  • Maverick 88 ( and all new Mossberg 500 ) use pinned forend. An old style, brand new forend action bar assembly will cost you 70 - 80 but I think thats the only way if you want to upgrade the forend to your liking. Mossberg wants to safe money on assembling cost and it cost the buyers complicated work around for something that used to be very easy upgrade, I clearly would buy other brands ( Remington/Winchester/NEF ) if I knew before I bought mine.

  • @manunggal That suks ,mav88 parts are made in Mexico thats why they sell cheap.
