@uutooyu wow you're amazing. it must be some kind of superhuman ability to hear the ACTUAL sound of the guitar through a $100 video camera. Excellent ears my friend. HOWEVER, Greg Howe is easily one of the best guitar players the WORLD has ever seen, and if you go elsewhere and listen to a PROFESSIONAL recording, you'd be able to hear the cirspy smooth tone that HE chose for a reason. seriously, do u think he's an amateur? u can't hear the real sound through a video camera. stop whining.
@uutooyu perhaps you didn't know, but tone is in the fingers. Maybe it's the video quality, I dunno, but when it comes to tone, THIS GUY has the ball! I've seen him live and he really is unreal.
I love to watch this guy play. He is so good. I need to get some more of his music. Sadly, the only thing I own with him on it is the Extraction CD w/Victor Wooten and Dennis Chambers, which is great.
Actually Shawn did not practice (train his technique) since he was 17 or so, I guess. And to say he lacks natural musicianship is the most ignorant thing I've heard for a long time. You definitely should check his CD "Power of Ten" or his works with Jonas Hellborg. Also the gig from Falls Church is awesome, there are videos here on YouTube.
Greg is absolutely great ! And Allan is...from another world. From the world of pure genius.

greg and allan are both amazing, both have their own styles of playing, shawn lane...nooooo taste at all, just hours of practice, no natural musicianship
shawn lane? powers of ten.. that is all i can give you. not mad or anything, and maybe you might have a different taste.. i am just curious.. i want to know who you think is a better guitarist for you since i dont know how and why you think shawn is not even enough to give me and other people a better understanding.

once he warms up, he moves past the technical, and you get a taste of incredible licks of melody! WOW.

@weezdajuice24 Probably why they don't do it, so they can spare us from a very musically eargasmic death. Both are wonderful players.
