I read the artwork is from Malcolm's niece as a reference to Alister Campell who used to hang paintings from his niece in his office. Maybe Capaldi forgot to take his wedding ring off. However there was a mysterious face at the window of Malcolms house earlier on in this episode which looked like a child and i have no idea what's going on there. There is definate homoerotic tension between Malcolm and some of the other men in this show, but Malcolm does say he is straight in Rise of the Nutters

Can it exist between heterosexual men (maybe...if we asume that we ALL are a bit bi?) bevcause he is supposed to be straight, but a lot of people see the tension with jamie, ollie and nicholson, but i am unsure wether the complimenting on malcoms face isn't just adevice to make the swearing and raging have motre effect?
