hey i want to say that you dont need to do step 3, 4, 6 and 7. After auto boot, just go to photo, den open up the folder, den go to the last app. den will will autorebooted, and just follow your step 8 and onwards. I tested it,, Its Works, Promise :))

My PSP has ChickHEN Mod3 but I just don't know how to make it work or execute the proper way. Can someone help me? Yes, its firmware is 5.03 GEN-C. Currently, I can't play games because I don't see it anywhere in the Games menu on the XMB of my PSP. It's just that I always get stuck and then it shuts down when I try to do it on the "Photo thing", it doesn't go green or anything, it just hangs a while then my PSP shuts down.

Then, all this "crap" might perhaps be usefull to others with other psp? Yes, I thought so ;) PS! Yes it does, it writes files to the NAND during CFW Loader the first time.

@shannystar  Mate.. Its supposed to reboot, thats when it enters ChickHEN mode, like shown in this video.. if you dont want it to reboot, then remove the pictures after youve hacked it.. or better yet, switch memory card..

As long as its a UMD disc, it doesnt matter :P

Check your memory stick.. WHat brand, size etc is it?

In my experience the results can be awesome :) had a 2gig stick I tried it with, didnt work, tried it with a 4gig of another brand, it worked right away..

even 512 and 256megs work :) At least some of them, try em out..

Ive done it most times with my 512meg stick, but if that doesnt work (some times) I do it with a 4gig :)

I wanted to thank you for this guide. I picked up my first PSP 2 days ago and found your guide to be the most helpful.

I'm on a PSP-3001 TA-090 v2 (PSPIdent).

I watched and researched what you say in this vid several times before my attempt.

I did 2 small things different.

1. I went to system settings and set UMD auto-start and UMD cache to "Off".

2. I only had to press the X once and wait to load chickHEN.

Then your model is compatible with Pandoras battery and M33 magic memory stick from Dark Alex.. But this guide still works for you, only better to install Dark Alex + Pandoras battery.. More permanently.. You can easily find guides for this..

in my experienced you dont need UMD and fast pushing finger in the X. try to set PSP in default., set the UMD Auto start and cache to default and the character set to english. the ChickHEN works fine after 2 or 3 attempts.

No, not as far as I know, as you dont change the FLASH files in any way, except for adding files with CFW Loader..

But I take no responsebility whatsoever, if this breaks your PSP or if you accidently drops it in a bucket off water while you try this out..
