As much as I agree that there is a need for good Christian movies, I find it very disturbing that the new film, To Save a Life, would show explicit scenes involving physical relationships involving the modern teenager. Not only to the viewers but especially to the actors as well. This message of staying pure needs to be preached - but not in such a way!
@frozensnail I understand your sentiment, however, I truly am thankful for those elements. Because, it is presenting things in a very real manner. A movie without that would be a joke to most high schoolers, because the truth is, today most students are involved with drugs, alcohol, sex, and more. The ability to accurately portray that and connect with them is huge. Sugar-coating it would just turn most people off to the message behind it. This movie is a true to life example.
@viviansunshine If you watch the movie, it wasn't about that at all. One was considered a loser because he had a limp, the other because he was considered a nerd. Don't worry about the racial thing, it's not a point brought up in the movie at all :)
