Capsize drill at Swarkestone sailing club

Sorry guys just a question. did the gentle man throw the jib rope or.....guess not, is it possible to tell me what rope you used. if i happened to leave 3 meters lenght of rope hanging so when i capsize i would attach it to the oar lock on both sides to be able to right the boat. Am i correct

Hi yes it ws just the Jib sheet - the top one when you are in the water so it will hang over the hull for the hem to pull up on

Kinda stupid way to do it because if the dinghy was pointing the wrong way you would have the mainsheet halled in so thre boat would head into a crash gybe ...
