PS3Monkey, the RROD's will appear if overheated online. I suggest a 360, only because the games available. And I think the Xbox 360 Elite has a better fan, for a little bit more playing hours added. So, you should get a 360, just don't play over 4 hours.

Get a PS3, it will not break on you, 360's have at least a 30% failure rate, but I estimate it to be higher than that based on my own studies. PS3 has a Huge lineup coming out within the next year and after that.. send me a message if you got any questions and I'd be happy to answer

PS3Monkey, it is true the PS3 has a low failure rate (i think 0.02%), and the 360's is 10%, but slowly decreasing. The 360 has the games you want, and the system saves you 50 dollars. But, it's your decision.

PS3s are a lot less likely to break down but they aren't as easy to replace as they used to be because consumers took advantage of Sony's warranty policy. Having sampled the online experience for both consoles, I'd say the PS3 is better. You don't need to pay for the privilege of playing online to begin with and you don't have to pay for every single thing like you do on XBL, & accessing music is available to everyone.

It's also pretty shallow, but it's just the start of the generation. Fair enoguh if you are gettign ready for Gears of War 2.

I did that with Metal Gear Solid, and MGS4 was awesome. But toally different to this.

Call of Duty 4 is awesome. Halo 3 is also pretty overrated, but it's a great game.

Bioshock is excellent though, may not be your cup of tea.
