I have a bit of a conundrum. I have ME 1 and 2 for PC but due to EA's Origin, I don't want to get ME3 for PC. Should I get ME3 for my PS3 instead? I'd hate to loose my progress in ME2 though I suppose I could buy it again cheap for PS3.
I'm glad they did this for the PS3 players. I played the first ME on my friend's Xbox, and really wanted to play ME2 (and ME3) but make my own "major decisions" on my PS3. It does leave out some things, but overall I like how I wasn't stuck with the shitty default decisions.

-Allowing Shiala to live or die.

Many more things that effect Paragon/Renegade. I wanted every Paragon option from the first (well, the important ones that effect the story) in the 2nd :\
They should have this for Mass Effect 2 shortly after the third's release. Some people would like that. Only in the ME2 comic, could they allow you to choose who died on the suicide mission?
No what, I may own the games for the Xbox, but come on Microsoft, just give EA the rights to the first game so they can port it over to the PS3, everyone deserves to play through the whole thing.

They left SO MUCH out: The geth (except two screenshots), 95% of the game's characters, feros, the salarian special tasks group, ALL the emotional impact of the first game, Joker, Cerberus, and the final boss battle against the husk version of Saren. I pity anybody who can only play ME2 on PS3.

Indeed they did. The reason for that is because they only put the questions in that influence the story of the sequel.
In my opinion it was superbly executed. Although I would never substitute the first ME for a shortened comic; however it suits my purpose much more, because I don't need to replay an entire game to have the result I would've wanted in the sequel.

Like I said before, the comic never really explains what the Geth are, what Cerberus did during ME1, or who Joker is. Basically, the primary audience for this comic was the people who never played the first, but it seems best suited for people who know the basic plot already and don't want to play the entire first game again.

Sorry but I did not had the whole comic at all. I've downloaded every free thing from PSS. And I;ve installed every freaking thing on the disc and still I did not got this option.
My friend got this for his PS3. He told me every choice he made, I still felt like he was incomplete. But this is pretty darn cool, especially for someone who's already got it for 360, so they could just sort of transfer their Shepard over to the PS3 one.

I'm a 360 gamer and am very disappointed in this intro. It skip Feros and made the rachni look evil. They weren't evil, the soldiers you fight are frenzied they aren't attacking because they are ordered.
30+ hours of ME1 wrapped up into 15 minutes of lameness for ps3? Fail. Doesn't replace actually going through ME1 with YOUR Shepard. The definitive Mass Effect experience remains on the PC and XBOX 360.

@DarthQball dude, it hits all the main points. if they put in everything you want, this comic intro would be really long. as someone who has played ME1, of course this can't compare to that experience. but after i sold my 360, getting ME2 for ps3 was my only solution and this served well as a refresher.

that was interesting. "sigh" I wish ME1 was for ps3 though....I played both Me1&2 on 360, but then my 360 broke (and not just for the first time) so I switched to the ps3. I'm getting ME2 but damn I wish I could get ME1 for ps3.

@piflan I feel your pain - I played through ME1 & ME2 on the 360, and then I got ME2 for the PC to play through it again with some DLC this time around, it was pretty.... weird. "Oh, I left those for dead? But they were pretty nice guys! Wait, she's dead? But I kind of liked her! I pointlessly left alien politicians to die? Fye! I picked UDINA?! I'm a 360 gamer and am very disappointed in this intro. It skip Feros and made the rachni look evil. They weren't evil, the soldiers you fight are frenzied they aren't attacking because they are ordered.

30+ hours of ME1 wrapped up into 15 minutes of lameness for ps3? Fail. Doesn't replace actually going through ME1 with YOUR Shepard. The definitive Mass Effect experience remains on the PC and XBOX 360.

@Grzesiekarator EXACTLY what I chose every playthrough of ME1 haha. Also, as for the comic, it's alright. Still doesn't even compare to actually playing ME1, but I guess it did an alright job of summing up the main storyline for those that never got a chance to play it.

I played both ME1 and 2 on the PC and was wondering how ME2 would start in PS3. The interactive comic providing dialogue choices to the player is actually really cool.
