its quite funny to me how many jokes that people have made about President Ford, but they were just the opposite of the Nixon administraion. They were honest to even when talking about personal issues like mrs. Fords cancer, I think that they were good people.
@FRSFreeStatePlus What the hell is "breath of fresh air" mean?! This nation had one last shot to search for the truth and Ford flushed it down the toilet. Why is someone like Nixon above the law? In a democracy leaders should be held accountable for their actions. Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon all lied about Vietnam. Over 58,000 Americans died in that war, along with millions of people from three other countries. Ford sounded like a nice guy, but judge him buy his actions.
@rodrigo0078000 RU ever pathetic. The reason this country is in the mess that it is in is partly due to people with your unintelligent attitude. Hopefully one day you will grow up.
Where is the interview that Ford gave on mainstream media, not that many years ago, about changing the autopsy results on John Kennedy in order to support the Warren Commission results about the 1 shooter theory. He said, IN HIS OWN WORDS, & I watched it with my own eyes, that he moved the trajectory of the bullet wound in the neck to support the Commission report. It has been DELETED FROM HISTORY!>> WE NO LONGER HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH, NOR FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION, NOR FREEDOM OF INFORMATION.
@joshatkins94 I'm glad you showed up. I'm also glad u knew him personally. There was a book, well, more than one, that points to him having pedophilia, detailed, activity. Can someone explain to others reading why nobody who ever wrote about his pedophilia activity have been sued or in any way held legally accountable or forced to retract it? I really appreciate that. One source is a book called TRANCE FORMATION AMERICA, one of his alleged victims, and co authored by a former CIA operative.
Read former CIA chief Ted Gunderson's book, or listen to his interviews on youtube. Also read Cathy O'brien's book, or listen to her on youtube, & you will be shocked as I was by what you hear. I being from Michigan always felt proud of Mr. Ford, & still struggle believing this info, but it is so utterly fantastic that it couldn't be made up. Plus they both have documented proof & filed suits against all the player's, have never been counter sued for slander or anything else for that matter.
I didn't hate Gerald Ford, and I'm definitely a 'leftist' compared to anyone that lionizes him. He was very much an advocate of right wing causes, but I always felt that he was one of the very, very few, who actually had a little integrity. He came to the presidency at a time when the country was in a shambles due to the crimes of Nixon et al, and he helped heal the wounds of the nation. That much good I can say, and there isn't a damn good thing to say about the GOP presidents following.
Bottom line: Leftists HATE anyone who ISN'T what they ARE. They HATE them - with extreme vitriol. In my experiences, there is no GREATER hatred than that of the leftist-socialist against anyone who doesn't automatically ACCEPT (it's impossible to believe if you have a brain) their talking points. They HATE you. Want proof? Just wait for the responses. It's pure hatred, and nothing more, or less.

I know presidents can only serve two terms. I was referencing the movie Watchmen that takes place in an alternate 1985 where Nixon is still president and America won the Vietnam War.
Even Jesus Harold Christ did not know what the "truth" is. Maybe by "respect" Outlaw is referring to the new rules as outlined in many of our gangster rap lyrics:
1. Snitching (being honest) means violent consequences
2. Getting bling, broadies and cash is all that matters---crime is good, pimping is key
3. If you look at us funny, it's lack of respect--prepare to be shot. Gangs are good.
Politicians, Law Officers and street criminals = triplets.
I'm not sure I really understand your point. The discourse between "GenXDude and me involved respect for former Presidents of The U.S. the 1960's and 1970's was a time of dramatic and important social transition.
For example, when the nation mourned the death of JFK, his infidelity was kept under wraps. When it was first exposed, those revealing them were shunned as being "unpatriotic" and "disrespectful".
It's one thing to respect the accomplishments and contributions of any President or his administration, regardless of political affiliation; but turning a blind eye to the truth in the name of "respect" does not serve us well.
Sorry to have intruded, Outlaw,---that is my dumb; my screed is rather silly although if we can believe all the rumors, JFK did love the broadies and wasn't gonn let something as insignificant as a marriage vow interfere with that love. And when we examine:
Vietnam
the betrayal of Formosa
ruination of our mfg economy
trade deficits
endless suburban sprawl
squandering of the "peace dividend"
unwinnable war vs Islamism
NAU, etc., it's not easy to "respect" any of our modern POTUS.
"Sorry to have intruded, Outlaw,---that is my dumb;"
Lumpagogo;
You have not "intruded" at all; it's an open forum, and your perspectives are certainly welcome. I just wasn't clear on your point. I do agree with your response regarding "respect" for former Presidents.
He tripped once and was shown falling once skiing, it happens. The man was the most athletic president we have ever had. He played on the University of Michigan championship squad and was offered professional contracts. Does that sound like a clumsy man? You cant be a starter on a championship squad for a top 10 school and be clumsy.
Mr. Ford really cleaned-up and cashed-in on the money train, once he left office. He was on many boards of directorships, privy to many investment deals, and to top it off, was a triple dipper with retirement pensions from not only his presidency, but from being both a V.P., as well as a congressman. But of course, my wife and I are not allowed to "double-dip" from both of our hard-earn Social Security.
Behold, the corruption of our goverment is pervasive, even with the "nice guys".
He was a symbol of corrupt government from the Warren Commission to his appointment by and subsequent pardoning of Nixon. As soon as he dies he becomes a hero?
@MrChameleon2010 Pick up a history book moron. Every president gets parodied. And as far as the pardon most liberal historians and journalists say it was the right move.
I am a Democrat but admiration for President Ford has nothing to do with Party Politics. He was handed an impossible situation and handled the job with dignity and no doubt did his job to the best of his abilities.
He was a man of character and decency who clearly always felt he was doing the RIGHT thing and not the POLITICAL thing. And this coming after a much more skilled and capable politician in Nixon whose political obsessions was his undoing.
Got to meet this man, I live in Grand Rapids, his house he had here is only ... I don't know 15 minutes away. He was a really solid guy. Met him about 2 years before he passed, was something else.
Ford was really an underapreciated prez. Canada, in particular, is thankful for his role in getting us into what's now the G8. He really was a steady hand at the tiller...
Look at my video RATHER'S QUESTION. I show for the first time when Connally was struck in the back which shows there was no back wound to Gov Connally around the time JFK was first wounded.
Why did Gerald Ford lie? He and people like Specter were small time players who sold their souls to get the "right" answers for the right people.
Since I show that the last two shots were BANG-BANG, it's obvious that there was a high level coverup.
It was LBJ and J Edgar Hoover, that's why they lie today
George H W Bush was Ford's Director of Intelligence for the CIA. I think THEY were doing a whole lot more than just imagining a George Bush in those days. too bad the American people couldn't see it coming.
What were Ford's accomplishments?

Rest in Peace President Ford

Got to meet this man, I live in Grand Rapids, his house he had here is only ... I don't know 15 minutes away. He was a really solid guy. Met him about 2 years before he passed, was something else.

Ford was really an underapreciated prez. Canada, in particular, is thankful for his role in getting us into what's now the G8. He really was a steady hand at the tiller...

He moved the site of the entrance wound on the Kennedy autopsy report so as to make one gun a plausible conclusion... "The magic bullet"

In retrospect I sure am glad to see Gerald Ford burning in hell for all the child molestation he did.
It's just too bad that nobody hung him by his neck on piano string. That would have been just punishment.
Burn in hell, Gerald Ford, burn in hell.

Somebody should cut off your fingers, cause you`re so evil and stupid that you should be kept from writing comments on youtube!

Speaking the truth about Gerald Ford's child molestation is not evil.
What's evil is cowards sitting around saying nothing about it... Like you.
May Gerald Ford burn in hell forever for sexually abusing children during his political time in Michigan.

So, Gerald Ford's most famous quote wasn't his own at all ...

...as is the case with many presidents and other famous people who have others write their speeches.

Ford seems like a good guy.. We thought Nixon was the worst president, wow, we couldnt even imagine a GEORGE BUSH during those times..

George H W Bush was Ford's Director of Intelligence for the CIA. I think THEY were doing a whole lot more than just imagining a George Bush in those days. too bad the American people couldn't see it coming.

While I don't like Bush either I don't wish death on him. Just leave em alone.

Ford is NOT a good guy. He's a porn king. He raped Cathy O'Brien when she was a child and he funded the MK Ultra program.
Remember that he put Dick Cheney and George Bush in the white house for the first time.
He was also head of the Warren Commission that covered up Kennedy's assasination.
