I spent 4 months here awaiting an extradition request from U.S. on a minor crime. One day they pulled me out to an office and said "you want to go back to the U.S., or pay $5,000usd to stay? For 10k, they will give me 'time served' on my 'u.s. crime' and a temporary residency when I leave". ---calls mom "mom, hello? can u wire me 10k?" Long live corruption!!!!!
just read the 1st 2 chapters of the book ,marching power ,and thought id check out 2 c if wat i was reading was true.well it was cant wait 2 get stuck into the book now.
This video is pretty cool but wont it fuck the tours up? I definately will be checking the prison out wen i do south america. If u get the chance you should read Marching Powder by Rusty Young. Its all about this crazy prison
Both songs are from Manu Chao (not chau) a widely known french musician with bolivian roots, singing both in spanish and french (and even in many other languages). His former band (wich he co-founded and where he earned huge popularity both in france and spain) was called Mano Negra. All his albums (with Mano Negra and as a solo artist) are hugely recommended.
we took the tour about 3 weeks ago. They are still giving tours and I doubt twill stop any time soon because they are making so much cash off of it. the tour costs 35 US dollars a person.
