  • Yes, he is totally in the right. He can randomly flip off as many people as he wants, including the police!

  • @MrJhanalore he may be in the right, but hes still an asshole

  • i would like to see this fatass begging for the cops to help him while hes on the floor having a heart attack because his lard ass eats too much shit. Guess what the cops are gonna do XD pay back time

  • @backatchalol I don't think he was flipping off emt's though. just cops. besides, he has every right to be obese, as do all donut-munchers.

  • @GreatNorthWeb doesn't matter cops are always first responders on scene

  • he needs to exercise more than his freedom of speech

  • I see a lot of you just don't understand. He's not flipping off the cops to be disrespectful, he's doing it to make a point. The point is, you should be able to flip off a cop, just like any other normal human being. It's an unintrusive gesture that shows discontent, and obviously, he has a reason to be. And by unintrusive I mean, it doesn't hurt you, and it doesn't hurt your wallet. It's not a crime. We need to stop fucking eachother over, over stupid shit. He needs to grow up? You do.

  • what a dickhead. if I were in position to give a ticket, and some fat fuck flipped his finger at me, I'd give him a ticket faster than he could eat a double quarter pounder with bacon

  • Unfortunately, most Americans have confused (perverted) obedience and respect for authority with "patriotism". This guy isn't one of them (although I think giving the finger, completely unprovoked is a bit...silly).

  • Deputies are MORONS! Yea! Why I want to be a cop? I want the respect that goes with the job. I never got that in High School!

  • Robert Ekas: Guardian of Freedom!!!

  • ummm... I haven't even watched it yet but I already know what it's about, that's how serious people can get over something like this.

Anyway, I don't see what the conflict is. This guy gives a cop the finger, and the cop gets pissed, and the guy sues the cop for getting pissed because he gave him the finger. Now I don't know 'bout you guys but I think both of them are overreacting.

PS: I don't even care about the cops so it's no personal, I'm just viewing this from a logic point of view.

  • @darkara99 It's not overreacting. The cop wrote him 2 tickets just because he flipped them off. What were the tickets for? Some BS that's for sure. Definitely an abuse of power. The police obviously don't know or respect the laws of our Constitution. I'm glad this guy is suing them because they need to be taught a serious lesson about free speech. We don't have to fear the police or kiss their ass. They need to fear us.

  • @darkara99 im pretty sure the cop gave him 2 tickets too.

  • "Digitus Impudicus" lmfao

  • If I was a cop I'd just show him the bird right back. And smile. And eat a donut.

  • Lmao finally a guy who thinks that the government is too damn big! Governemt works best when its small.

  • @drmokedweed000 That's not taking advantage of our Constitution. That's bringing light to the 1st Amendment... It's the right to have an opinion, and express your opinion without persecution. Like I said before, flipping anyone the bird is disrespectful, but YOUR NOT bound by law to be respectful to a police officer just because he or she is a police officer. As long as you are abiding by the law, you DO HAVE the right to express yourself. You CAN tell a police officer your opinion.

  • @jbailey618 Nah its outdated. It was written in completely different times. You are aware that the whole "Right to bear arms" was solely so we would always have a militia so the government can never become too strong to take us over We have no militias. Therefore that whole right to bare arms is a little outdated and considering our government is already "too strong" by most of peoples opinions yeah this is just fat ass looking for attention by exploiting an outdated and irrelevant piece of paper

  • @jbailey618 Back then the government "worked" for the people and if people didn't want a certain something they liked..The government was met with FORCE. Peaceful protesting these days do nothing at all. This country is garbage and its continuing to go down hill hard and fast.

  • messiah complex. But makes a good point

  • FIGHT THE POWER, ROBERT! I'M W/ U! I know EXACTLY how you feel, because my city is the same way!

  • Haha EKAS FOR PRESIDENT!!!!

  • @twistls ekas for mayor of dsome small city in oregon is possible, now this guy is on national tv

  • @Godservative Well if the cops humiliate him maybe it's worth a few hundred bucks more in taxes for all of us. It's your call brother...

  • The cops should be trained to simply smile and wave back. It is a complete waste of taxpayer money to react to this man since he was not doing anything illegal.

  • The 'Finger Flipper.' LOL!

  • " Those tricks of yours do NOT work in this country anymore... this is how the leftist animal got elected..."

Yes, that whole accuracy and correctness thing does get in the way of a Conservative getting elected, I realize that, but you're going to have to understand soon that the facts are all out there to find DIRECTLY, and you don't have to listen to right wing demagogues to find it.

"how's that change working out for you, obama-animal? "

A little slow because you R's keep filibustering.

  • Yes.. All Hail our Uniformed Overlords. lemme guess... They are protecting our freedom? Where I live I'd say 25-30% of the cops abuse their "authority" (assaults, perjury etc.. they've even stolen my $) and the other 2/3rds back them up and dont say a word to weed out the "bad apples".

I do fine protecting myself and will only call the cops if robbed at work where I have to for insurance purposes. Stay outta my way... and I'll handle it

  • "free speech isnt the only thing he should exercise" HA, thats funny

  • The free speech should not be the only thing you exercise, hit the treadmill fatty!

  • your comment was so good, it had to be said twice huh? sorry pal, but many f the comments most likely already took that one.

  • the free speech isn´t the only thing he should be EXERCISED!

  • Police State

  • omg thats sooo funny

  • Sounds like a rebel without a cause.

  • i see his point...but we can't change shit :(

  • hahah in what way has a cop ever protected you

  • shoulduv gave him the up yurs with the finger.

  • Why is the Rocky Theme Song in the related videos section? He looks nothing like Rocky and I highly doubt he'll be "going the distance" anytime soon.

  • maybe u should...lets see what will happen if ur actin' like that.

  • Police do have a way of only enforcing people that fear them. It maked their job alot easier. Real criminals cost us money and scared citizens pay up and are on their way.

  • he wants to see people not want to live in fear. i want to see him lose weight.

  • I hope he wins, even though its retarded, we should all fight for everyone to have free speech.

  • Thats racial profiling at its best....what a douche...I hope he wins tho!

  • He looks like he ate the Deputy after he flipped him off.

  • LOOOL!

  • yes.

  • Americans.. nuff said'..

  • @stovnergutt starting to agree...

  • They've gone from policing to moral policing to political policing. Now, they are actively quelling dissent with "gang stalking", where they use citizen watch groups to stalk and harrass their targets. Also, look up "targeted individuals" and "Cointelpro" on YouTube.

  • can you send me a link for the videos your talkin about

  • YouTube doesn't allow comments with links to be posted. Type in "gang stalking", "targeted individuals" and "Cointelpro FBI" in search above.

  • He's right.

  • Coughs...DORK.

Let's hope he never has to call 911 when he chokes on his Pizza.

  • Let's hope you aren't in the line of fire if and when the citizens of the US have decided enough is enough

  • NO, It shows people are upset with the abuse of power, corruption, loss of rights, and big brother on every corner. Maybe not every law enforcement officer is to blame but there sure are a lot that are.

Now I don't agree with his methods but at least he is speaking out

  • @greenbeana214 It shows people are agreeing with this imbecile. Ive been arrested once for minor in consumption and public intox. At that time two young male officers were pretty big dicks to me even though i was respectful. I had long enough hair to grab at the time and one officer grabbed the back of my head and slammed me against a car. Is that right? No! Do i go around flipping cops off? NO!People get so pissed about stereotyping races, but its ok to stereotype against law enforcement. ya ok.

  • Dude put some pants up and grow up. If you piss off ht e people that protect you, when the time comes when you need their help do you really think they will help? I would not. Your lucky you didnt piss a military person because they would have kciked your ass. I would have...

  • I highly doubt this guy would call the police for anything. Contrary to what many police think there are those who can fend for and protect themselves.

  • Don't make fun of him, I think he has down syndrome.

  • OK but can I make fun of you instead?

  • Permission granted.

  • this guy's awesome...

  • metalfaust19, let me clarify my statement. By law, the moron did nothing wrong. You are correct there. Morally, he did. If he wants to start a game, he'd better be prepared for the cop to finish it. The cop didn't do anything wrong, either, when he found a reason to stop him and cite him. Two can play at that game.

  • As an officer, I will be the first to admit that there are a lot of cops who have an attitude. If you were lied to daily, you might be a little skeptical of people too. But this idiot is complaining after HE provoked an officer. What did he expect? I doubt the officer would have given him a second look had he not flipped him the bird. He deserved a ticket. Just because I'm a cop doesn't mean I have to stand there and take your unwarranted insults.

  • "Just because I'm a cop doesn't mean I have to stand there and take your unwarranted insults. "

Actually, it does. None of us have a right to "avoid" insults. Your feelings are not protected by law, nor are mine.

Did the man break an actual law? No, he did not, therefore it is not right to punish him as such. There is no law against flipping off a cop, soldier or government worker of any sort. It might be rude and immature, but it's also how our freedom works in this country.

  • "but it's also how our freedom works in this country. " YEA right dumb country....becoming a dumb country....

  • Well if you don't like it you can always move.

I hear China and North Korea like jack booted thugs

  • @metalfaust19 i could not agree more...i do not no y u would flip a cop off 4 no reason, but that cop is no better than him 4 pulling the guy over...in fact they are both immature and stupid cus if i was the cop, i would have just laughed at the guy and flipped him off, this country i LOVE so much sure has SOME of the most pathetic laws the world has ever seen

  • @ateopo1 Well thats a 2 way street man. Just because Im a citizen, doesn't mean I have to take your shit either. I mean come on, fliping a cop the bird is childish and YET for a cop to get pissed about it is even more childish. Grow the F up...a badge does not make you anything more then the rest of us.

  • Did that cop do anything to him? Probably not, there's no reason to flip him off.

  • BEAUTIFUL!!! END THE POLICE STATE!!!

  • @sensi42069 idiots like you who say things like that are really entertaining. I have never had any problems with the police and most people have not either. You will be begging for the police if you were held up at gunpoint by a criminal.

  • Highly doubtful. But I'm sure you would be the first one to board the buses to the prison camps.

  • I agree with him 100 percent.

Police think just because of the job that they have that they have the authority to do just about anything to anyone. It is our tax money that pays their salary!

  • The guy giving the finger is clearly the one who thinks he has the right to do anything to anyone. He flipped off the deputy for NO reason -- totally unprovoked. Then he says the deputy should have "ignored it," even though he can't muster up the necessary self-restraint to keep himself from flipping someone off for no reason. The shortsightedness of this guy's logic is unbelievable.

  • Are you saying he DOESN'T have the right to say anything to anyone he wants? The US Constitution would like a word with you, my friend. There is no law against hurting someone's feelings, it doesn't matter if you like it or not.

He did not physically hurt anybody, he did not threaten anybody, he did not steal anything. I fail to see how can anybody can side with the police on this matter, all you're doing is undermining the tenants that the USA was founded upon.

  • I didn't say anything about his actual rights; I pointed out the hypocrisy behind his behavior.

As far as his actual rights go, we're granted free speech within the boundaries of the law. I don't know what the local laws are for his area, but if he ended up getting a ticket then I imagine he may have broken some. You can't really hold it against the officer if that's the case.

  • But he wasn't the first one to give the finger to authority! About a decade-and-a-half earlier, 2-Live-Crew spearhead Malcolm Campbell did the very same thing and in one of his album CD jewel cases he had a photo of himself giving the finger after he stated: "This is for those who don't believe in the 1st. Amendment,"

  • The headline for this video is misleading. I wish more people were willing to be a bit more brave or savvy like this gentleman.

  • i like his skirt.

  • the only thing police ever did for me hinder me from gettin into the school i want. something i'm sure police dont understand considering theres a big difference between an "Academy" and a "University". Police have been given to much power and rights at citizen's expense. why should i give respect to man that gives none to me wit a quarter of the social status. lets look at the ratio of police citations to 911 calls

  • This guy is a moron, but if deriding the President on national television is not a punishable offense then neither should the act of flipping a cop off be consider so. There are many cops out there that are just power hungry and think that they deserve everyone's respect because they put their lives at risk. They seem to forget that they get paid (quite well) for what they do.

  • he's an idiot

  • It does make sense.

  • I think this is kinda crossing the line, he pretty much made a personal attack against an officer and tried to justify it by saying he challanged the institution... go challange the institution then, not the workforce

  • This guy makes no sense... His idea of freedom of speech is fine, but where does giving the finger come in relation to that? It's just disrespectful and immature. The cops (maybe not all, but definitely not none) try to "keep the streets clean" in a perfectly good manner, and allow people, like the man in the video, feel safe. I don't get it...

  • loony!!

  • This man is a moron.

  • He wants to see people "not living in fear" by discrediting the authority of the police. Makes sense.

  • it because police has become more of a threat, than criminals, with 7 million in prison in the USA he might have a point!

  • The police are more of a threat than criminals? That's just not true.

It also doesn't make sense to blame the police for people being in prison. They're merely doing their job, i.e. enforcing the laws. They don't write them.

  • we live in a police state people...which means "bad" to those who can't see...this guy for pres 2012!!

  • So gangsta...

  • i hope u will win and if u think this has to do anything whit police u are wrong he is doing small steps against instituions to open somebodys eyes

  • i have absolutely no problem with free speech, in fact i think this guy should put his thoughts on a bumper sticker... however this is just straight out disrespect.

i can't wait for the news story where he gets robbed and that deputy is the one who responds to the call.

  • so you're saying if i set a trap for you - you would be a dumb ass and fall right into it because you can't control the 6 year old boy inside your head?

  • wow you truly are mentally handicap

  • What if he did that in a court room at the Judge?? OR maybe his children started doing that to their class mates, teachers and even the principal.

His wife started doing obscene gestures at work and to her boss.

Or even their children "expressed" themselves to their own parents,! Maybe spitting, Cussing, mooning, etc.

Is that still your brand of "free speech" sir.

A breakdown of Authority means anarchy, and a weak nation at war with itself. And ripe for our enemies to invade.

    Jesus Lord

  • @ighforever

When you bring up a court, it's completely different. Courts have their own rules, requiring you to cooperate with the judge for the outcome of the ruling. Acting like he did would be contempt.

  • @ighforever

So, what he flips cops off? If anything he's showing the proper respect for those thugs in uniform. And he is right, it's not about flipping off a cop, it's about him questioning their authority. And in a police state, that can't be tolerated.

  • evillutionskate you make a great point wich I probally can heavily explain in the archive of information that I have researched myself and in fact many others have as well and my point is thats the only reason why the people on this comment section feel compelled to write something is because they can feel there is a truth somewhere and their "heart is not in the right place" or they are "not decisive" yet because one cannot decipher the two understand truth and you walk in the path of God.

  • He is disrespecting their rightfully obtained civil authority.

  • Obvious Troll Is Obvious.

  • "The Finger Flipper" god what happened to the world... do they think thats clever?

  • we need more people shiting on pigs and trying to get our rights back that morons like you signed away in the scum patriot act

  • Top Story? Slow news day i see.

  • This guy is just wants attention.

  • lol America

  • Wow what a joke.

  • if you want to have a physical confrontation with someone for burning a flag or flipping off a cop then not only have you given up your rights in a crimminal act of violence, but should be viewed as an insult to lives lost securing our bill of rights.....

  • @ RacoonCamp... Wait, the cops are suppose to help you if your house gets robbed? I wish I lived where you did. My house has been robbed 4 times in my life time and the cops never did anything but come take a statement. No follow up ever, just the usual answer of "I wouldn't get your hopes up"!

  • owned by the cops lawl

  • If somebody do that to him, he will feel bad. Why would he do it to somebody else. Yes a police is a human being too, jerk.

Someday someone will beat up/rob this sick fat fag. And, the police should respond it slowly, wait until he get killed.

  • exactly.

  • "facepalm"

  • people take the middle finger to serious...ITS JUST A FINGER GEEZ GROW UP

  • I too have been intimidated by Police Authority. Is there anyone out there who hasn't felt their Superior attitude.

Ask a policeman why he is arresting someone/God forbid. I am Anglo white and glad they videod illegal Police Brutality. I agree, not all cops r bad. Their authority should be questioned.

  • HAHAHAHAH CRIEG FROM SOUTHPARK!

  • People have the "right" to burn the flag too- do it in my presence I will beat the #*## out of them and suffer the consequences. It is action/reaction - just because it is lawful does not make it prudent...

  • Yes- he has the right to free speech, but he really should consider who he is trying to insult. The guy is clearly an idiot and has an ego monkey on his back that is about 40 lbs. bigger than he is...

I am not a fan of all cops- but they have a crappy enough job without "Fat Bastard" flipping them off just to exercise his free speech.

  • Good for him!

  • if his house was being robbed i bet hed like cops a whole lot

  • is this illegal?

if not,i will start doing it too

  • Flip someone the bird? Why? Be ready to back it up. Don't hide behind "civil rights".

I'd punch you out. You should of been tazered

  • 1:07 Can't take him seriously...He's wearing a Toga.

  • Most officers are good. It's the .01% that slipped through and made the department. They do get caught, just like anyone else.

But to you with the "loose finger", it's an "obsene gesture" and who you are disrespecting is the cop that just came from your house, your 911 call, you or your family needing help. Gonna flip them off then?? Think!!!

  • What a loser.

Man, this idiot needs to get a life.

OH NO! I called him a loser. Now he's going to sue me!

  • So he wants the right to flip the bird in the name of free speech but is going to sue one of the guys for telling him to grow up and learn respect for another human being?

  • Yes, he has a right to freedom of speech. But, does finger flipping bring a majority of community members together? Does he build unity among other citizens to build something for common good? Would he go to a foreign land, to fight and defend his finger flipping? Or, is this guy just another mouthy jerk with a compulsive need to proclaim himself as "Center of the Universe." Ok, Robert Ekas, you're in the spotlight; we're watching. Take 10 -15 years to do something of value for humanity.

  • tell that to tyler heilman, or oscar grant, or any one of the innumerable innocents murdered, beaten, tased, tortured, or absued in any other way by cops.

new stories come out every week of cops doing criminal things and getting away with it. hell the cop who murdered heilman is still on the force!

obviously cops are going to react differently. these cops displayed a minimal level of restraint, altho they still attempted to extort him for his "crime," which is WAY worse than a visual insult.

  • Yes...I think we should throw all stupid people in jail. That would make me feel better and make the world a better place.

  • this guy thinks hes making a difference....sad fat little man

  • Your are both right and wrong. To control the quantity of guns the police in my country made a "free pass" to hand guns and explosives in for... you guessed it. Free! Noone was thrown in jail or prison. My point in my other replys was that if you are pissed at something the American way to solve problems is to sue. I'm not trying to degrade americans by saying that all are stupid, but you guys has quite a lot morons trying to get some easy money by sueing for everything.

  • (2) Cops routinely beat, taze, harass, lie to and about people, and otherwise threaten their lives, liberty, and property.

We ought to at least be able to flip them off for that.

    Jesus Lord

  • i like how his shirt goes a foot or two below his sweat shirt

  • I totally agree with this guy. This is not yelling fire in a move theatre, it's freedom of speech.

    Jesus Lord

  • the guy has a point to some extent but i still agree that one day he's going to need the "institution" he's against. let me say that some cops are ruthless idiots who abuse their power but there are those who genuinely serve to protect and uphold justice, to which i am grateful.

  • The guy actually has a point. It's not the fact that he's a pissed off guy and has hate towards cops, it's that he doesn't want to feel that he can't do something such as voicing his opinion about the cops.

The government wants control and this is how they do it, you have an opinion about them that they don't like they'll make you pay. Where is the freedom? Where is our rights? Who's protecting who here?

  • This guy is awesome lol

  • lol so according to the constitution, i have freedom of speech, and will it keep me out of trouble if i flip off a cop?lol

I do agree with this guy that the cops should just ignore it. If i was a cop and i got flipped offed, i would just laugh at it and flip him off too lol

  • Damm straight. I am on this guy's side.

  • Technically I think the guy is in the right. But just because you have the RIGHT to do something doesn't mean you SHOULD do it.

  • Heh.

  • Only in America

  • AMEN!

  • watch psssh we got a robbery in proggress car 121 were on the way hey o'riely isnt that the fat guy who flips us off you know what officer johnson i think so hey o'riely wonna go get some doughnuts hells yea.........

  • here here you have ballz and i give you props man

  • lol

  • He must be an Obama supporter.

  • saintsnbraves1, You are right ! that fat Liberal is doing it the Obama way!

  • awesome!!

  • @jayhoyt28 and since he pays his taxes they still are obligated to help him aren't they? They don't do there jobs to be nice.. they do it for the money. He explained he's not Against cops individually. If they simply gave him the finger then they shouldn't be cops. They aren't there to be loved, or even respected. Just to do a job. Giving them respect above that of normal citizens degrades the common man. You just demonstrated how.

  • he right we should not be afraid of cops.
