  • I don't get it . if the filter is so loose that this will work why not just grab it with your hands and forget about the belt ? the idea for using a strap wrench is you can add a open end wrench to it for added grip and torque . how is this better than just our hands wrapped around the filter ? did i miss something ?

  • @CactusBobsPlace You didn't miss anything. I already had it loose when I recorded this video. Using a belt will work with any size diameter oil / water filter. It's easy to use since a belt is fairly thin and can go around the filter even in tight locations. Let's you apply torque where you won't bloody up your knuckles when trying to bust it loose. Some locations to untighten are difficult to get to. Just an informative video to help people : )

  • @Vacationtime247 The filter was loose before shooting this video. It was on their pretty tight. This worked out great! Grabbed it easily and didn't slip at all. This video was to just show you how to set it up.
