People want to be free, it's a basic human impulse. If Chinese people don't want it, up to them. After half century being colonial communist subjects, Tibetans still don't accept it. That's why only those few loyal to the Party were invited to see the "show" on this video. Everyone else not welcome. Cool?

If the Olympic torch goes to the rest of China instead of Tibet, then Tibet and its people would be dwarfed and humiliated, in contrary to what the Tibetan separatists says.

Funny you should mention that Jimi! I've just read a report (ICT) that occupation troops in Machu County (Gansu) have been shooting Tibetan dogs and eating them. Some pretty dramatic photos of the occupation forces arriving at a monastery there, in the latest update. (savetibet[dot]org[slash]news)

Those WERE the people who were in Lhasa yesterday, the ONLY ones who the CCP can't control what they say, only what they see. So they didn't see much that CCP didn't want them to see. But they did see this. And thanks to the miracle of video and television, I could see it too (and so could you, if you cared).
Everyone present at the "celebration" was wearing a "pass" around their necks. Nobody else was allowed.

Maybe you should read some reports by journalists who were actually there. CCP did order shops closed and people to stay home. Only exceptions were those people selected by CCP to perform for the cameras. Only pass-holders were allowed to be present at the "celebration." Harmony, with Chinese characteristics.
CCP can't stop orchestrating everything. I've read they told many Tibetans to stay at home. The torch is an insult to the Tibetan issue and the way the CCP have handled them after the protests in march.
