I love coffey. I honestly don't know if he is country or not, but i like him. I also don't think he ever showed how truly good he is on the show. But he put his heart into every performance and had so much energy any time he hit the stage..

It's not like he's denying the Lord or anything. You think if someone asked him he wouldn't immediately tell them he is a worship leader and loves his Lord?! Well I never watch this show so I don't know if Gabe or whoever was better. But I will tell you this much; Coffey may be good, but he's really off pitch a lot of the time. So alone as a singer, his tonal quality may be good, but if he's off pitch, then it ruins the whole thing.

Yeah, I gotta agree with you, he can be pitchy. And I love Coffey and his music, so don't call me a hater and don't think I'm just lookin for things to criticiz, 'cause I ain't! But honestly, he IS a bit pitchy, and when I'm playin his tunes and singin along and lovin em, there are some moments that stop me and make me wince just a tiny bit because it was off. But there's somethin about him that can pretty much pull it off....haha. So much style and life in his music....it's just real. :)
