Yap, the point is to generate momentum which is translated into forward speed without pedaling, altho you can still pedal when you can.

on PUMP tracks you dont really jump you kinda PUMP your way around the track like ummm how do i explain this....you kind just push the bike when you go down a small bump to make it move and your really not suppose to pedal at all

Its not hard to understand... idk, maybe it is for retards, but you're exactly right, no pedaling, build your momentum just by pumping... its great exercise too, it kills your upper body... & it makes you a much better rider with WAY better bike control

@Squirt1X not really... actually the best pump tracks have jumps. for instance a bmx race track is essentially a big pump track, yet you can jump them, and for speed sometimes you need to jump them just because its a pump track doesnt me there areny any jumps, it just means that all the jumps are rollable.

and in the video above, i guarantee you put me on that track for 25 minutes i can find a lil jump

when you've built it water it with a hose, but dont soak it! if you soak it, it falls apart! if you just gently water it and let it dry it should dry really hard (:
