  • Fuck Skyrim, I just bought this game. I now have nine N64 games, some of which I didn't own before (I used to have Turok when it was new; got it at Toys R Us). I'm probably going to put my Kinect garbage and Saints Row 3 on eBay.

  • a few words FUCKING DUBSTEP REMIX i tried but i cant mix music

  • Ohhhhh, this reminds me of the moldy walls in our old house and a strangely grey carpet in my bedroom.

And when I lost my hamster under the floorboards.... long story.

  • I will cover this on drums. So reminicent of younger days..... i forgot what this sounded under the scream of minigun spray LOL....fuckin triceratops...

  • I am going to recreate this using adventurecraft on minecraft!

  • Amazing, thanks for up!!!

  • Campaigner disliked this..

  • Minecraft, you and I shall be busy this weekend indeed.

  • Fucking Bugs in the cave.

  • Turok with a Hi Point Carbine would be cool

  • RBNSMTH as code will result in many good things lol or was it something else?

I never wanted the cheats, i loved discovering new places and trying to find the chrono scepter pieces, i remember in level 2 or 3, you had to jump on like 10 little pillars to get a c.s. piece, yes very hard lol.

  • @cmonconan I could NEVER find the Chronoscepter piece on level 3. I probably played through the game 20 times, got every piece, but could never find level 3 :(

  • @Oyyy123 would you like to know where it is?

  • @Oyyy123 Take the "Block hopper" road, going left at the temple/piramid.

Then jump on pillars like there is no end.

(if you are good you can take down the guys coming down the pillars while jumping towards the end.)

Oh wait at the last pole jump towards the wall with the grass (lol) and hope you make it.

  • @Oyyy123 me neither,foud all but lv 3 NO

  • god i wish i still had n64 and this game i want to play this game so bad good memories

  • @somethingnotdone Why don't u just buy the game + n46 its just like 10 bucks or something xD

  • Nostalgia overload.

  • Triceratops were a bitch

  • @FlagshipOnionhead

    HAAAAAAArrg.... :D

  • I know. I was hoping someone who knew what they were talking about didn't have to tell me. We'll never get anymore good FPS titles like this.

  • The only FPS today that matches this was half life. This however is FPS done perfectly. Would love an HD version on Xbox.

  • @TronPachioftheDynamo Never gonna happen. Rights to the original turok are a bit murky since Acclaim's demise.

  • Many people criticize Turok2 for the long levels, but I think that was a great thing, mainly because of the challenge :)

  • @widar28 Turok 2 was a longer game in many ways than even some RPG games. The levels in that game were massive and actually took some exploration to figure out, it wasn't like Halo levels where everything is completely straight forward.

  • @LordMalice6d9 Yea in turok 2 i never got passed the second level even with cheats. They are MAZES!!! yet again i was only 10...

  • It's awesome when you enter a cave in lvl 7 *plays slow tune* and then you exit the cave and this theme starts playing. Its like "its dangerous out there!"

  • Watch the movie Predator and compare the music. obviously turok is more musical but there are similarities in the industrial ambient sounds.

  • I wish I could download this to an Mp3 or make it into a ringtone

  • @meowistforlife you can

  • @Xplod232 where? you can have 5000 internet points if you tell me

  • @meowistforlife youtubedownload(dot)altervista(dot)org/ the youtube downloader.. comes with free mp4 to mp3 converter also then just use audacity to make a ringtone to your liking thats what i do

  • all of the official reviews for this game say the music consists of nothing more than tribal beats - obviously they haven't played through the first two levels

  • @filipe09er clearly

  • also it is dragon rock from star fox adventures.

  • I remember, the year that I got this game I had more sick days at school than any other year in my life... hmmmm

  • emulator here i come :D

  • i was only 6 yrs old and i fucking loved killing dinosaurs:D<3

  • Best level in the whole game.

  • I'm currently going through this game right now and am on this Level. Just picked up one of the level 8 keys.... one more to get! Damn those dragonflies!!!

  • Turok is a really good game. I played it as i was like 8 years old with my brother and father.

  • @MrVideoFlash lol are you my brother? loljk but yeah, same here. i have so many great memories from this game NTHGTHDGDCRTDTRK!!

  • surprisingly awesome game.

  • when you came out of that cave into that dusty warzone and this started playing, you knew you were in for some shit.

  • @lamuerteviva You ain't kidding, some crazy shit did happen in this level! Thumbs up to you.

  • @lamuerteviva Yes like the demo on the menu, this song starting and then a dusty warzone full of mounted rhinos and laser raptors

  • Goddamn I love this song! It makes me want to go into a crazy tribal frenzy of insanity!

  • @Fermi443 That's a shame. Turok is the god of FPS games. Just listen to the song in this video; it beats everything in Halo, Half-Life, or any other shooter out there. Some people may argue Goldeneye, but Turok has this primal, brutal rage that needs to be present if we're ever going to see another good one. I did enjoy the QTE's in the new one, but that was its only redeeming factor. I'd like to see them return.

  • @Fermi443 I couldn't agree with you more. Not even the good FPS games of today with over the top weapons match Turok in its variety of ways to kill. However, I think Acclaim went bankrupt and died, so I doubt the original team will ever be a part of a new game.

At the very least, lets hope these games never get a re-boot, sequel, or remake, despite how much I want one. XD

  • i remember when i first played this level I went to get the grenades by the killer plant ( which at that time i didnt know it was a killer plant) so i almost got the grenades and the plant attacked me and i freaked out

  • I used to call the chronoscepter the Chissmhopper cause my friends and I were like 7 and could hardly read big words. Definitely one of the most important games of my childhood.

  • @TheRealPDizzle hahahahahah thats so funny

  • Imagine how powerful a faithful remake of this game would be today, to show all the new FPS gamers what a real game is.

Forget about adding a story or complex dialogue. Just use the same music, throw up some ridiculously good graphics and tons and tons of amazing Turok like weapons. Maybe throw in some QTE's from the new Turok, and bam, one helluva 'mazing FPS.

  • turok look like rambo

only him can take the mission!!!!!

  • This level had the best music

  • There is freaking Pantera in this track! :D Message in Blood, the opening guitar riff; its the 'same' at 1:59 (almost). When I started listening to Pantera and first heard that song I was like "thats so familiar...". I finally realized where I heard it from. THIS. Hahahah.

  • @aleccoin Oh shit! You're right! You have some very perceptive ears dude.

  • Turok has the most awesome soundtrack a FPS ever had.

  • i was around 5 when i played this game it was fun until mother threw it away :(

  • @prentzel3 hahaha same here, just that, my father thought that it was just a dinosaur game, and when i started killing people, (you know the screams of the characters) hahaha my father said like " holly craaap" lol

  • @rafaaaa09 hahahah same here but i got it back tho lol

  • i wish i still had this game and a nintindoe 64

  • @DavidToddSchiesler hehe ... I DO *grins * ^^

  • Holy shit this game was hard when I was like.. you know.. 8

  • Good point Kingmula2, Turok 2 was good as well. I dont know if it was just me or if this game just seemed harder than the first though.

  • @Slaughter1985 this game does seem harder kinda, but Turok 2 was harder and the levels were long as a motherfucker.

  • yeah games now dont seem to make me feel the same as the older games like turok...

  • These songs bring back nostalgic memories. This is definitely one of my faves on the N64. I just wonder why they couldnt get the rest of the series to be as good as the first.

  • @Slaughter1985 turok two would beg to differ

  • @Slaughter1985 Turok 2 has nothing to say to that, Turok 2 was really shit when you think back, but the original stands the test of time!

  • son, i'd like you to take this knife, and this bow ( and this grenade launcher for good measures ) and i want you to slaughter those demons and bionic dinosaurs. let nothing bring you down.

  • I would like the turok game recreate it for xbox

  • hahahahah i remember me in the lava pits , trying to hit the dragonflies with the chronoscepter,..... those were the good days

  • Hey, turok the dinosaur hunter had no eqaul back in the day! I still have the game, and still play it occasionally! I wish their was a refurbishment company who coul update old classics like atari, super mario brothers, and contra...

  • I recently replayed this game. The enemy AI isn't good enough to dodge circle strafeing. Haha! You can actually circle a Raptor and knife it too death.

The game is amazing, and NO ONE. NO ONE gives the CHRONOSCEPTER the respect it deserves :(

  • Well, I do and I use it whenever I can to be honest.

  • @SwnTnBmbrGrl

I love this game and how it was designed.

I just wished they would've used more authentic weapons instead of fictional weapons. I think it would be cool to see Turok shoot a Navy Colt revolver and a lever action 22 rifle with a scope.

  • thats one of the beauties of this series is the weapons, take a look at the Cerebral Bore, Shredder, Razor Wind, Firestorm Cannon and Charge Dart Rifle. All amazing weapons which have been forgotten like the Chronoscepter by all except real gamers. Cheers dude!

  • yeah! cerebral bore! hahahaha i chuffin loved that gun!

  • @MetallicOpeth Every one of them except the Chronosceptor are Turok 2 weapons? I have no idea why they chose to ditch most of the weapons from the original, Fusion Cannon (L)

  • walking out of that cave in level 7 and hearing this music....you know business has just picked up and you in for a war from here on in!!!

  • When I walk out the cave and see the Demons, Dinosaurs, Robots and Giant Insects, it's serious buisness.

  • @jeffbrister2004 If i recall there were two triceratops there to welcome you right? epic. halo? fuck halo.

  • @cmonconan you're close. that's the opening of Level 8 where the two Triceratops are there waiting. I always walk around them and avoid them simply because they require so much ammo to take them down.

  • @jeffbrister2004 Oh yeah man, shit hit the fan after that. I actually thought the treetop village was a tough level too.

  • @Oyyy123 Treetop Village was frustrating for me when i was a kid cause there was 1 key i could never find for some reason. And obviously if you don't find it you cannot move on to level 7. I remember going all over those treetops for weeks and weeks and weeks on end lol.

  • @jeffbrister2004 Oh yeah definitely. I remember the same thing, backtracking so much that I would just beat the level and re-enter to try and finish it. The other level I remember being completely annoying was 4. I can't remember why exactly but I feel like there was a key I would always miss.

  • do you know where i could download this music to my ipod?

  • whenever i hear the Turok themes i feel like picking up my combat knife, and run like a maniac in the woods:P

  • Favorite game of all time right here sine i was 4 years old!!! lued to play this doom quake golden eye perfect dark and duke nukem but this 1 was THEEE

    BEST!!

  • Oh man, Perfect Dark was second only to the Turok series. If I wasn't owning the campaigner in turok I was sniping people through walls in erfect dark lol

  • yeah but imagine how many people would love to play this just like the N64

  • bring these classics to the 360 Arcades!!!!!

  • Or you could emulate it on PC

  • todays gamers see games like half life series and Halo series as ''great'' but they dont know gaming....

These game had a special feeling.

  • Back when the game was made to be enjoyed, not to be addictive.

  • @loismlsx lol....all those games have some extended tutorial bs from what i remember from this was...u ended up in the first world...and sum guys started chargen at u... if u didnt figure out how to kill em....tuff....now silly story now extended dialogue just shoot kill run repeat....ahh the gd ol days

  • @loismlsx Hey, Half-Life 2 is fine. You're just suffering from that disease that people go through when things around them change.

  • @loismlsx Half-Life is almost as old as Turok is...

  • @loismlsx -Highs five- So true.

  • @loismlsx you know half life is almost as old as turok right

  • @loismlsx halo had a special feeling. halo is one of the great new games along with half life and fallout 3. there are plenty of new games with that "feeling" but these games were amazing and there wouldnt have been the above games without these and the games before it. :) it all depened on the player

  • Easily my favorite music in the game! Epic drum beats!

  • best level IMO

  • Love this game!I like the nuke the best. You could kill giant dinosours with one shot! Also,I would make dinosours and human dinosaurs fight each other in this game lol!

  • Nostalgia! they dont make songs in games like that anymore, huh

  • They actually don't put any music at all! Look at Killzone, for example...Great graphics and all, but zero music.

  • @locololas That is all too true. No developers really care about music anymore. It's all just generic orchestrated "epic" music that only plays when enemies are on screen. Even the new Castlevania, a series that once could always be counted on to deliver memorable, creative, and amazing music, has now also fallen victim to this modern trend of non-existent music.

  • @85ihateposeurs Hold it! The new Castlevania, Lords of Shadow? I gotta say man, I LOVED the music in that game. And yes, I've played my fair share of CV games. It was all developed for the game, and I felt it was great. Although I suppose you can contribute the different "style" of music to the fact that it was a very different CV game.

  • @mulletwesker Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. But I've only played Lords of Shadow for a few hours so maybe Konami is saving the good music for later. But as of now I can't recall a single tune or melody from the game.

  • @85ihateposeurs Understandable then. You often hear the same music theme that was dominant in the trailers, but I can tell ya that LOS has better music than most of the videogames that have come out recently.

  • RBNSMTH

Robin Smith, your cheat was crap :)

    Amazing song (L)

  • The drum patch is soo cheezy yet cool becuase I KNOW that sound from this, cheezy but unique.

  • I always loved fooling around with the Fusion Cannon, Mini-gun and the Auto Shotgun with Explosive Shells. Ah this indeed was a fun game.

  • @insanityrecordings

    *signed*

That game brought me too to the awesome computer game genre called FPS. Violent computer games ROCK! :D *g*

  • fave soundtrack on fave game ever. those drums are killer!

  • Yeah they are!

  • Best song, period.

  • does anybody remember nthgthdgdcrtdtrk? LOL!!!!!

  • i do big cheat activated

  • somehow i still remember that cheat by heart. Ever since 4th grade

  • what does that one do???

  • somebody should rly make a drum cover of one of these turok songs...they r pretty awesome.

  • reminds me when I had the cheat disco mode on and watching all the dinos dance.

  • yea dude i remember when my dad broughtn this home when i was like 6 or 7, now its just too fun to play this

  • amazing! what a game (L)

    and the music, truely brilliant!

  • I love this song

  • i first played this back in about 1999 and turok 2 what memories this is the game that got me obsessed with shooter games

  • The perfect song for the infernal wasteland that is the Lost Land. Thanks for uploading.

  • best song ever!

  • I love this track.

  • god this makes me want to play the game

  • and not have bills to pay like when I first played this fucking badass game.

  • I love this song.

  • I read that the character which you shoot with in this game is the same character as in turok evolution ( tal'set)

  • yes

  • omg awesome
