Homeword can be a pointless exercise. The point is for parents to work in a partnership with their children's teachers develop curriculum and assignments that are meaningful and relevant, and that get kids interested in learning.
That's all very well and good... But... I just still see homework as a pointless excercise...
For example - My old teacher in primary school understood the children, she didn't give them any homework ATALL because she said works for school/work, not for home. Because of the non-stress the children went through school with, they achieved 5/5 in reading, writing, and spelling, every single one. However within other classes/tutors where the teacher has given homework, the end-year marks were low..

I Really hate homework, it has also ruined my love of school. The homework stress is so bad it has caused me to develop a eye twitch

Homework is the worst, it destroyed my ex love of learning. I'm a junior and get about 4hrs of HW a night.
