  • Thats a Modern Wushu Version of Tiger Fist...

  • @WahrerDrache Though that's probably not what it's sold as. ;-)

  • 赞!未来的李连杰

  • bad kid

  • lol

  • it would be best to have a monk as a kung fu teacher because they're not hard on u there gentle and tell u what u did wrong without yelling

  • @comedianairbender11 LOL, where did you get that idea from?

  • @tikletik from the movies

  • @comedianairbender11 that's quite the generalization

  • The boy has his mind in something else by the signs of stiffness he shows

  • @gvi341984 might be because he is being filmed

  • @Bebopchiflow the monk should've told him about calmness first thing???!

  • Those invisible opponents didnt have a chance

  • Rofl at that kid.

  • not easy

  • Absolutely love Shaolin discipline. Blessings on the monks.

  • The kid speaks Chinese, good for him!

  • Am I the only one who thinks that wushu/kung fu practice always looks better if a chinese monk does it?

  • @skfbz You should check out this guy Shi Dejian on Youtube as well as shaolinwugulunkungfu real authentic Shaolin Gung Fu not performance Wushu. They're actually Buddhists not the posers pretending to be monks at the Shaolin Temple.

  • @papertiger7

You are right about current "monks" as fake posers, but Shi De Jian despite of his good Kung Fu and martial skill doesn't practice Shaolin Kung Fu either. His style is a fusion between different traditional stuff he learned in some village.

  • @FightingWarrior Excuse me, but his Gung Fu is 100% Shaolin Kung Fu as passed down from Wu Gu Lun who was the last monk that had to fight his way out of the temple before returning to secular life. He specializes in Xin Yi Ba "Heart Mind Intention" boxing, which was a more secretive style of Shaolin Kung Fu since it required special attention. It wasn't taught to many people. In addition, he also practices other common Shaolin sets, like Da Hong Quan, Xiao Hong Quan etc. Plus, he is a Buddhist.

  • @papertiger7

A good friend of me is doing extensive and honest non profit research on all Chinese styles, Da Hong etc. have no REAL historical proof at all to be Shaolin (maybe some of same named styles crossed the way with shaolin at some point, but no more of this), De Jian learned them from standard Wushu circus in Shaolin (the first versions with some applications, not the bullshit circus from nowaday) and combined them with his traditional Kung Fu knowledge, calling it "Xin Yi Ba"

  • @FightingWarrior

... Xin Yi Ba is either no historical proved, a Myth like that of DA MO...

To be buddist has no correlation, there is a large number of different branches.

But as said, Shi De Jian has very good skills and is certainly the nearest one that could be called "Shaolin Monk".

  • @FightingWarrior Xin Yi Ba is not Shi Dejian's own creation. Sorry but if we're going to have a meaningful discussion, at least know more about the subject at hand. Can you tell me the sources where your getting your info from?

  • @papertiger7

I'm not saying he created it, but that he used that name for his Kung Fu, but historical there is no proof about Xin Yi Ba, it's a legend.

He exchanges knowledge with many unbiased researchers around the world, translating from old Chinese writings (it's hard with the non simplified ideograms) and so on...

  • if you think race has anything to do with ability in martial arts then you are correct. race, height, weight, comprehension, drive, atmospheric pressure... haha so many variables. "soft overcomes hard" and "a strength is a weakness" these are concepts. no matter the medium the art is based upon principles and concepts. to think lesser of fellow medium is to admit weakness as hatred stems from fear. fear=weakness.you're own art will advance through the purity of love not the illusion of control.

  • Dre, you rock!! Keep up with all your hard work. We're all routing for you! Can't wait to see you perform or compete again in person. You will be amazing!

  • He's a great kid and you know anyone who has a problem with Andre can come and deal with me. And yes I do know the Wu chi finger hold btw....SKADOOOSH!

  • What a great future Andre has! I actually know this family personally and know the personal sacrifices they have made to move there and give Andre the opportunity to study there. What bravery it took for him to immerse himself in a completely new culture, learning the language, a new way of life, new customs, new people. Most adults would not even have the courage to do this. I can't wait to see what he will be like in a few years. Great things in store for him, for sure!!

  • What an amazing video!!!! Andre could easily be the next Jet Li! As far as sacwalkers comments, he obviously isn't able to do anything even close to what Andre is capable of and is throwing out pathetic comments to make himself feel better. The rest of us will see this video for what it is, a young boy with great talent, trying hard to do his best in a different country and doing a great job!

  • @Sacwalkers, funny you should say that. We just had a discussion about how to deal with people who might address him in such a manner. Thank you for taking the time to help me with my point.

  • I'm taken aback by the racist tone of some people's remarks. It's a characteristic that I hope Andre's generation retires to the dustbins of history. (Andre is the boy in the video)

  • omg , a ginger that speaks chinese.

  • JET LI!!!!!!!!

no no no no no way

  • Wonderful. I like the kid. He speak Chinese and doing kungfu.

  • A shaolin training is perfect if you wanna be a masked vigilante!

  • @Hamishtarah wow racism

  • Comment removed

  • @Hamishtarah While I think I see the point you are trying to make, you invocation of racial archetypes ("white" and "asain") are contrary to the concept of collective unconsciousness. (which is a social concept, not genetic)

It would have made more sense if you had said something like "Chinese martial arts don't fit Westerners" However, since the video involved a child, learning kung fu, speaking chinese, in China; the validity of your statement remains challenging to support.

  • @42DangerVision let' s say that they don't have the same" family tree"" It belongs to another part of his unconscious. I definitely think that occidental people can practice martial Art at a top level. Something will always be missing. It's what i feel and you may disagree with it, i can understand it. We don't have the same culture and didn't have the same experiences.

    Have a nice day

  • @Hamishtarah were you on stupid pills when you posted that?

  • @Hamishtarah Regardless of race color or sex, Martial Arts is a universal worldwide beloved ancient sport. You unfortunately have some problems with respecting a different culture. Clearly you need to understand martial arts and the respect that is involved for each individual. Its ashame that you have to hate on a kid who's love and passion is to train and learn martial arts.

  • @SIQsecsay I don't think so...Otherwise i don't hate this kid. How did you get to this idea? I think you may be intellectually deficient

  • @Hamishtarah "Asian martial arts don't fit to white people" First of all lets work on sentence structure and not sound like a complete idiot before you call someone intellectually deficient. I'm afraid uneducated people like you try so hard to be a Internet bad ass trolling videos. Perhaps maybe you can come up with a video or a collage of some sort like this and and let us critique it.

  • @SIQsecsay M'well give me the correct structure please!!! It would be the sign you can tech me. I need to be properly educated. Or write me in german, french, yiddish or swiss german if you can.

Of course what i wrote about you wasn't kind and i shall apologise for it.

  • Excellent !

  • Thanks for posting. Amazing footage!

  • What a lucky little boy.

  • very nice! :)

  • nice nice :-)

  • everybody say kung-fu fighting, with feet as fast as lightning.....

  • I'd love to train in the Shaolin Temple right now

  • @JohanFromIndonesiaTM You are not the only one ^^

    Amituofo Amituofo Amituofo!
