Now she can have all the ice cream she wanted and posicles and stuff. I got a cap to and my parents wanted me to wear it the first day i go back to school (jk) arent parents funny. You look like a sweet kind loving family and god does protect us. Bless all of you!!! ♥

  • What a beautiful little girl! I'm glad all went well with her surgery. Now she doesn't have to worry about awful sore throats as an adult. She looked really brave too!

  • i had mine out Nov 18 its not as bad as you think...

  • do they put you to sleep while they take them out cuz they didnt when they did it to my dad they just numbed him

  • Did it hurt?

  • Adult Tonsillectomy worse,,, kids seem to bounce back easily from it, i had mine done about 18 months ago now, and i had some nasty complications. I ended up in ICU for the better part of a week, and 7 days post op hemorrhaged. took me months to recover, and i was on a cocktail of drugs just to be able to get anything down. i lost alot of weight.

  • What a sweet daddy! No doubt she's a Daddy's girl!!! But def a brave little girl! She's a lot braver than me...I am having mine out next Monday (but I am prbly 3x her age!!!) I am TERRIFIED! :x

  • she was braver then me

  • she is so brave i hope i am that brace when i get mine lol

  • What a trooper! I'm so proud of Emma! Maybe I can learn to be more relaxed for medical procedures now that I've seen how Emma can handle them.

  • What kind of symptoms did she have when you found out that she had to have surgery ? I am curious because I have been having a sore throat for 2 weeks now . It's really starting to bug me . BTW , that is awesome that you believe and trust in God . I am a Christian myself .

  • @Doodlebuggie95 We realized that for 2 years Emma went to the doctor at least 10 times and every time was tonsil related. They look for that kind of pattern before suggesting surgery. She has not been back to the doctor since her tonsilectomy last year.

  • She didn't need to wear a hospital gown?

I'm going for my surgery in about 8 days...

Anyways how long did the procedure last?

  • omg!!! how did it go? sorry i dont know you but im having my tonsils out soon nd im so scared .did you have an injection? did it hurt?

  • Another beautiful video of a brave young girl going through her first, and hopefully last, surgery, getting tainted by the ever useless theist-atheist debate. Leave that nonsense out of this and just enjoy the video!

  • dont thank god. thank science and the surgeon who made it all possible. if the church had anything to do with it we'd all still be burning witches in the dark ages

  • Good thing the surgeon doesn't share your thoughts! He trusts God, who created the human body and knows it better than any trained man, to guide him and thanks God every time a surgery goes well.

  • @flattrump

you are ungrateful for science and its ability to fix your malfunctioning daughter. if it werent for science she would have had to live her entire life with those tonsils. are you saying god gave her tonsils, made them faulty and then removed them? did he make a mistake there? or was it intentional? did god invent anestheasia? why did he wait untill the 20th century for that then? to torture humankind for thousands of years?

the body evolved. theres evidence. theres no designer

  • You've got me all wrong. I am very grateful for science and for Dr. Caldwell's commitment to study the human body and use his surgical talent and knowledge to help my little girl. God created the human body perfectly and placed the first humans in a perfect environment. When they chose to sin then the world became corrupted. What we deserve and sinful humans is eternal death and punishment. Anything above that is called grace.

  • Salvation and eternal life are the ultimate expressions of grace to those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. As for scientific evidence, pay close attention. They have never discovered any transitional forms. Darwin said that his own theory is faulty without those. Statistical analysis shows that the complexity of the human body is impossible without an intelligent designer. Every scientific discovery, especially at the microscopic level, points to intelligent design.

  • you dont uderstand evolution, because your closed minded. all animals are transitioning life forms. an animal doesnt chang in its own lifetime. species change from generation to generation. those most suited to the environment survive and flourish and those poorly suited struggle to mate and survive. its called natural selection. its scientific fact. bacteria are a good thing for an example, as they reproduce so fast they evolve fast too. but im banging my head against a wall telling this to you

  • If I'm closed minded then I don't think I'm the only one here. I understand transitional forms. Please show me evidence of the transitions from generation to generation. If these have occurred then there must be fossils to prove it. Right? You don't have to band your head on anything, just show me the evidence. Thanks.

  • dude, im not going to waste my time trying to somhow show you fossils. there are thousands of well categorized documented fossil libraries round the world. evolution is not a debatable subject nowadays, its relied upon for police forensics, and in the courts. religion is seperate from the law for this reason. because really we all know its just a belief system, one of thousands of varying religions around the world. if your unaware of fossils existing its because your really not looking.

  • Hey, thanks for your time and your persistence. I do so enjoy dialoguing about such things. I know there are well categorized fossil libraries around the world and not one of them shows a transitional form that proves that a new species has been born from an existing one. Evolution is not debated because the scientific community at large has abandoned the scientific process where theories only become facts when they are proven. There is no conclusive proof. I've looked. have you really...

  • looked? Really looked? Every transitional form that has been "discovered" has been proven, without a doubt, to be either a mistake or a deception. You are a person of great faith. It takes much more faith to believe in evolution than it does the Bible. A little challenge to you: research the scientific and historical evidence of the Bible. Thanks for the discussion. I have enjoyed it.

  • ok i wont stink up your lovely daughters video any longer with this futile arguement. you ignorance is a fantastic example of the human ability to kid ones self

  • Well I would say "thank you for your respect" but you don't give any. It amazes me that you call me "closed minded" yet you get rude with someone who doesn't share your opinion. By the way, ignorance is lack of knowledge, I've done my research on both sides, please do yours. Those that don't are the ignorant ones. And please, in the future, have a little more respect with those who have different views. Thats' the beauty of living in America, we can think differently.

  • im not american. and youve done no research. you know an accumulation of "facts" that the people you surround yourself with have told you. reality is ok. its not harsh. accepting your life isnt eternal is character building, i respect your right to believe whatever you like, but when you start talking about science, and try to apply it to your religion how you see fit, its just not a good look.

forget blind faith. ignorance is bliss. denial is not.

  • Sounds to me like you just described yourself perfectly. Your using the "ignorance argument" because I've pointed out the lack of evidence on your part. That's what usually happens. I've done my research on both sides. I no longer wish to discuss this with you. You are rude.

  • @tubestick00 look no one is twisting your arm about believing in god. They didnt say anything to you that gave you the right to down their faith.....looks like you need god in your life. Go read an apologetics book and see what scientific facts there is in it. dont down someones faith just because you dont believe. GOD BLESS YOU

  • @tubestick00 he believes. get over it lol. you can think what you want, i dont think you should be telling him what to do .

  • If this were true (that "those suited to the environment survive and flourish and those poorly suited struggle to mate and survive" were true, then the 2nd Law of Thermonuclear Dynamics has been disproved by the very existence of what some scientists falsely claim is a "population crisis" on our planet. Science can't have it both ways, so which is it? A thinning out of the species by selection, or an over population?

  • THIS is why science is so unbelievable in the 20th and 21st Centuries... back in the days of Galileo, Newton, even Einstein, scientist used REAL data, REAL experiments and arrived at REAL conclusions... not made up scientific mumbo-jumbo just to prove THEIR THEORY (and it is STILL just a theory, by the way) is correct. Yet, they get angry and kick other scientists out of their fellowships if they disagree...

  • It takes much more "faith" to believe it happened by chance than it does to trust in at least some sort of intelligent designer.

  • yes. trust in God.

  • i am 11 and i got my tonciles and adnoids removed just befor i went back to school. the experince was terrible because 3 days after i went home from the health center i had to go to the er because both my tonciles and adnoids started bleeding. i had to get them coterized. that hurt worst then just getting them removed! but now i havent became sick or recived very bad sore throats. now i am glad i had them removed

  • she is brave

  • I got my tonsil's takin out at 4-5 years old and now im 12. I cried after the surgery because it was a cold white room wwith 5 doctor's wearing masks and my mom was out the room. I couldn't eat anything that was red for a week. LMAO my sis ate the last red popsicle

  • brave girl

  • It's a difficult thing to go through. She didn't cry, get nervous or complain, I just think she was very brave.

  • What a brave girl!

I am having my tonsil removed very soon, and this was really helpful. I am 13, so quite a bit older than her, so she did a great job being so young. You must be really proud!

    Godbless x

  • aww she is so sweet! I wish I wasn't scared :(

  • of what?

  • tonsillectomy...
