  • wooow, nice plane, Say hello to your father for me.

  • That was really great to let your father do that. Im sure its something that both of you will never forget.

  • What a wonderful video. It choked me up man. I wish I could have done that with my dad and grandfather. Both were pilots. Grandpa flew B-17s among other things. Perished in a thunderstorm. Nice Video. Benny

  • I like your videos. I'm just getting into making some as well and I have a Kitfox IV also. I too just took an old timer up for a Kitfox ride and he loved it. Check out my short clip of that flight "Kitfox Smile". I'm hoping to do more flying and video but I need a better camera. Blue Skies

  • I think you will cherish this video as long as you live. It's a wonderful experience for both of you. Nice looking Kitfox and wish I had one.

  • Thanks for the kind words and yes you're right my father and I were not always so close - we've managed to find common ground through flying and its wonderful - thanks again

  • Thanks papipilot. I'de like to look at your rig sometime. I would like to know why your choice of Aerovee over Rotax besides cost of course. Like to know about the engine mount etc. I am hope to get some time with Alex who has a Champ out there at your field.

  • Very nice.....I am pilot out of KTMB looking to get into a Kitfox II , III or IV. What are your thoughts on plane? Is it a 582?? Is it an easy transition for a tricyle guy?

  • the Kitfox 4 is that it is one of the most fun airplanes I've ever flown - I've flown Luscombes Cessna 120 140 170 185 172 152 tailwheels nose gear experimentals and twins - I am replacing with a 4 stroke aerovee 80 horse - the wings fold on this airplane so you can share a hangar and pay half the cost of a full hangar - as far as transition TAKE SOME TAILWHEEL TIME BEFORE YOU FLY A KITFOX - narrow gear, short coupled and long wings make it tricky on the ground

  • You are getting better at editing Rafael, the fade from taki to takeoff was really cool. I might have to copy that on one of my videos :) Looks like you guys had a blast. Keep up the nice videos !

  • tell your dad thanks for his service,we appreciate it,my dad was a vietnam vet and is no longer around to tell him how much it meant

  • check out my vids @ djemshew i have some escapade flying over NC

  • You have a nice airplane,my friend has an escapade and i would love to build a kitfox or be able to buy one.

  • My dad was an Army Air Corp instructor pilot during WW2. Retired with 5 type ratings and in 1988, I bought a Tomahawk. He flew it home for me and had not flown a tiny airplane in several decades, but made a greaser landing at night. Tom Brokaw was right, those guys were "The Best Generation." Cool video BTW.

  • Thanks so much for your thoughts - yes flying with my father is something I will always cherish

  • I'm glad you had the chance to do this with your dad.

    Awesome video .

BTW..have I told you I like your plane?

  • Cool!!!!!
