the only book worth reading by Murakami is NORWEGIAN WOOD. Read that book and you will understand why. End of a story. Case closed. But do read it before you flame me. His entire "career" after that book was staged managed by marketing execs in cahoots with bottom line spread sheets. And they purposefully kept Norwegian Wood out of the limelight and the market in the USA in order to create the "persona" to sell these other books. Read NW and you will understand that all the rest is mere hype.
Where can I find the whole film? I looked it upon IMdb and I had a university lecturer who said did watched the whole thing somewhere she doesn't remember.
Was it released just for TV or something?
I've been looking for it but only to find no hints.
Pretty interesting for someone with a Chinese name to be speaking english with a Dutch accent, about a Japanese author! And you've set yourself a daunting task; I think the world of Murkami is the resonaces and echoes of the world between your ears - so how can it be filmed? Why not filming something from Cees Noteboom, to describe something that may be closer to your own actual experience? And did you ever get your dinner? Good luck, keep filming!
