  • The beach on the east coast USA has something similar. At night when the waves are crashing, you can see sparkles from tiny creatures lighting up. It doesn't happen all the time, though.

  • The beach I swim at has this algae- not so bright, but it's amazing to swim in at night. Seriously- try it. It's the coolest thing.

    I'm only 18 but I've seen, done, and been to so many places nothing really ever seemed interesting or important... Now I know that it's to experience Bioluminescence (wrong context, you get my point Hahaha)

    Now that I think of it and how amazing it is... See Aurora Borealis, see Blue Glaciers, and reside on a Desolate Island for a while. WOW Earth and Life is amazing! Jeez, thank you for making me realize it!!!
