Thanks Youtube for giving us teen of the '60's and opertunity to relive this and other great artist like David, in the '60's David ruffin and the Temps was a household name.. we would go to our local juke joints to pull the up on the juke box... but, so many of these was unheard of. david was my idol (even dated a guy that looked like him... glasses and all) lol... anyway i'm now 64yrs old but still loving all the music that we never heard in the '60's THANKS

Paul Williams died in 1973 it's listed as suicide but there are many rumors foul play was involved. David Ruffin died in 1991 from a drug overdose like Paul's death there are rumors foul play was involved. Eddie Kendricks died in 1992 due to lung cancer. Melvin Franklin died in 1995 due to complications from his diabetes

King David, had  the very best voice! I thank God for him, Just left us to soon, I wish that he would had left the drugs along. David left his wonderful gift that he shared with the world behind,. David was definitely one of the all time greats, Norman Whitefield said that he was the best and when David recorded walk away from love, Van Mckoy said, that he read the music, sang it straight off first time and he did not have to do anything to the track, and when you hear the range in that track, then you will realise why was a genius. David Ruffin is one of those rare artists who is the epitome of his music genre... there's nothin like listenin to David Ruffin sing the most melodic and soulful of poetry. I am a huge David Ruffin fan. This, like 99.9% of his material is beautiul, soulful, and thought provoking. It would be great if an anthology of all of David's recordings could be produced. I would buy it as soon as it hits the store.
