GUYS! Again, please do not crack open your Zunes to unplug and replug in the battery cable. When you go to sync it or plug it into anything it will brick itself once more and you just threw your already expired warranty out the window.
yeah, just take out the battery for a few seconds and put it back in and it's fine, with music intact and everything. but don't plug it into the computer. I got a local technician to do it for me. AWESOME!!

i got the zune since it came out in 06'and had it till a dew week ago but let me say something here i have been throw 7 zune's belive it or not thank god i had warantty but my zune screen crack a few weeks ago and i still used with my xbox for music playback while i play but this morning i turned my xbox and the console didnt recongnise it so i guess is dead
Man this sucks T_T. I had my zune for about 2 years and just today I turned it on it Froze on the logo screen. DAMN IT! I hope its not gone forever ;_; it's my life. If anyone knows when they post how to fix it or something please let me know
Btw guys: There is a 'fix' comment running around that is utter bull. It basically calls for you to crack open your zune case, disconnect and reconnect your zune's battery cable and then start it up... but when you go to reconnect it to charge, it will just get broke again. Don't do it.
Currently their phone likes are backed up. Im on a 40minute phone call with them and it seems they now are getting the idea of how huge this problem is...
haha. man. i have the same problem. this is aggravating and irritating, yet entertaining in a way. the forums are PACKED and it's gonna get even more full. i hope it'll be working again by midnight though. hopefully it's not DEAD. i've only had mine for about a year =[
