  • I like the song I was annoyed with that voice coming over it

  • this guy was awsome!

  • @RratsArtStudio, religious people are so not stupid. Just because you have other beliefes, you don't have to start an arguement on Youtube. I think thats STUPID to do that. My dad was religious, but was definetly not stupid. He was the best dad in the world. And didn't force us to go to church.

  • My daddy was at this concert. He died about three weeks ago and is probably hanging out with keith green right now. :")

  • Hmm.. you guys think youtube should just do away with comments then? :)

  • why can't people just listen to this song without having to begin some random pointless argument about nothing?

  • I love it when he mumbles, "And stalagmites hanging from the ceiling..." LOL! :) Keith was on fire. Oh, God....put that fire in me!!!

  • shut up and sing.. I don't care

  • I never heard the "manna-catti" before LOL

  • Is there a howling dog in the background audio?

  • I LOVE THIS SONG--KEITH GREEN WAS SUCH A GREAT ARTIST--I HAVE 3 of his albums, including "So You Wanna Go Back to Egypt". May God continue to comfort his relatives.

Please look at this NEW song entitled--GOD IS GOOD EVEN IF

Just Enter: mark behrens (in the search field)--THANKS.

  • Ya know I cannot believe I sTILL know all the lyrics to this song! I loooove it! Always have and always will.

  • @RratsArtStudio agree, fighting amongst each other is stupid. But it also shows how much we care for something. Like kids sometimes fight in a family. It's still wrong and we need to learn from our Father who taught us differently. And atheist also fight but for different reasons ;)

  • @monum sorry for RratArtStudio, im an athiest myself, but i do love green, and i respect all religion

  • @RratsArtStudio Religious people and Atheists are showoffs. If you believe or don't believe in something, and you aren't bragging about it, then you are normal.

  • @RratsArtStudio But yeah, religious people (From all religions) fight against religious and non-religious people too, that fight started a long time ago, and I think it will never end : (

  • @JohnnyJohnW Thars why religion should be forbidden ^^

  • @RratsArtStudio is that an actual place art studio. because you just lost a lot of business

  • @RratsArtStudio Stupid secular people....It's sad watching their haughty and above it all attitude when they are just blind, filthy and lost like the rest of the world. May God take your blinders off and give you the spirit of humility and love.

  • what a slap down at around 3:16 !!!

  • So You Wanna Go Back To Egypt.. Very nice! Lord I don't want to go back to my Egypt. Prayer for me

  • The man had some provocative songs. But seriuosly, the guy also liked to grandstand, preach like he alone had wisdom, and craved tons and tons of attention. He was involved with the Vinyard movement, a subculture claiming to be Chirstian, yet fully entertaining visions and new enlightened revelations from God. But then, most cleaned up druggies and "free love" womanizers tend to be a bit on flakey side even after claiming to have become Christians.

  • Anyone who has negative things to write Please have respect when it comes to Keith green and the ministry he had and Jesus Christ. There is no need to use profanity . Jesus loves even the people who don't acknowledge him. He died on the cross for them as well. When they do get to understand the truth about the gospel and not Human reasoning they too will Promote Jesus Christ but when it boils to it free will stands in the balance!

  • I hope iwill play whith keith in eternity

  • There is a reason why it's called faith, and if you think it's just a book with stories then why are you getting so upset and speaking against God, Jesus and anyone who believes it them. Deep down I think you leave these nasty comments to try to justify your lack of faith. Now I'm ending this once and for all. I've spoke truth to you. Now I will just pray for your heart to change towards God and those who believe in God. Have a bless day, seriously. Smile. You Seem like you're always grumpy. =)

  • @monum, no it does not include me. For I am not a Christian.

  • Yeah, what a musician and composer...love his funky piano playing too. "Nobody believes in me anymore" is one of my favorites and "Because of you," "He'll take care of the rest." Is it true he died in a light plane crash that he was piloting and it was overloaded? Blessings to his family. Hey y'all, God is love and they that dwell in love dwell in God and God in them. The demands of the law where met at Calvary. God's not angry any more, taste and see, the Lord is good! Tony, NZ

  • He's got the Jew 'fro going good. Always did.

  • As a Keith Green fan I Just read every single comment here. Verdict: Christians are willfuly ignorant.

  • @bhickman6 example?

  • @bhickman6 thanks for your verdict. Does that include you? ;)

  • @bhickman6 BLISS

  • @bhickman6 what do you mean by that?

  • Just watched the comedy 'year one'. Gets across the absurdity of the old testament pretty well. For example circumcision, Cain and Abel, the tree of knowledge, slavery, sodom and gemorrah. Read about noah's ark on wiki. that story comes from the Babylonians i.e. The epic of gilgamesh. This is one of the earliest stories we have.

  • Sorry monum if I am annoying you. My point is that Jesus isn't the same as Yahweh. Jesus is a gandhi type figure, apart from his harsh demands and threats of hellfire. It's like god went through an anger management class in between the old and new testament. And who wrote the gospels anyway ? When ? And why?

  • @gavincostin1 I see Jesus making no harsh demands and his threats are only reserved for the religious leaders who should know better. I found some of the thoughts on this blog very helpful if you're interested :) goop.com/newsletter/134/

  • I pray that Jesus Christ is revealed to you. That your are overwhelmed by the love and grace of Jesus Christ and not deceived by the one who you should really direct your anger at the prince of the world Satan who does not give a care about you and wants you dead .Jesus is real he desires a realtionship with you even when you persecute and reject him. He was cruxified for your sins and unbelief right now as your speak curses and hate . He still loves you even now

  • @gavincostin1 Blah blah blah. You have no idea what you're talking about.

  • @gavincostin1 Have you actually read the Old Testament? When one looks at all of the amazing things God did for Israel time and time again and how they rejected Him time and time again, and how He forgave them for their failures and rescued them and waited for centuries before finally unleashing judgement.... and even then, He rescued them and caused Persian kings to help them rebuild and give them money. God has ever been gracious and patient with a people who should have known better.

  • @morethanimusic Check Numbers 15:30 where god has a man stoned to death for collecting firewood. Or the times when he orders the men, women, children and animals of various towns to be slaughtered as in Joshua. The most widespread act of violence would have to be Noah's flood, that is, if you think it actually happened which I certainly don't.

  • @gavincostin1 Read through 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings, 1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra, and Nehemiah (feel free to skip the lists of names and just read the stories) and you will begin to see the picture of how patient God is. Even in Exodus, within days of having the Red Sea parted and a stone opened to give them water, they were already building golden calves and giving THEM credit for their rescue from Egypt. I think if someone did that you or I, our retribution would have been much worse.

  • @gavincostin1 if your scared......GO TO CHURCH lol

  • God doesn't change Keith ? Really ? Okay so he is still a genocidal, infanticidal, racist, sexist, cruel, petty, homophobic, pestilential and egotistical. Yahweh rocks !!!. Everybody worship the king of kings, Lord of Lords, the alpha and omega, the prince of peace, the one who was, is and always will be.

  • @gavincostin1 Gavin, it seems you personally have a bone to pick with christians or God for that matter. I don't know why you came here to vent your anger but not all christians are alike. The description you gave of Keith or God to me is false and I for certain am not one of those things. As someone said: We shape our gods and our gods shapes us. It's not right, but it happens. In my life I've come to know God as a loving one, He showed that in Jesus.

  • @gavincostin1 Who in the world told you God is any of those things. Last time I checked I only saw people with those types of discriptions. You must not know God very well. It is rude and disrepectful to even leave such a comment. God is not genocidal (proof) murder is sin, and please name one infant God killed. If your talking about Egypt then may I saw God WARNED them. Racist! Please. If God was racist he wouldn't have told Peter and the other Apostles to take the Gospel to the Gentiles. cont.

  • @britmariones10 Continuing....Sexist....sure. Then why in God's green Earth did he give Debrah a women a position in ruling as a Judge in the Bible. Should I continue. If anything God is merciful. He gave us the Bible to use for a reason. To allow it to come along side us to be the standard in our life. Sin is sin. There is no other way to look at it. Sin results in consequences, but it's all because of our own choices. I said this to not single you out but confront your negative perception.

  • @britmariones10 People with supernatural beliefs with no proof deserve ridicule. The Noah's ark tale would have to be the best example of genocide, and presumably thousands of infants were drowned as well. Also Sodom and Gomorrah. God has the highest tally of all murders in the bible. Read up about in Joshua and Samuel about various towns that were destroyed outright by gods people, and that includes children and animals. I'll have to research further on the racist issue.

  • @gavincostin1 You read but you don't listen. Numerous times througout the God's word he extended mercy. Why do you think Prophets were there? To release God's voice to speak to the people to repent and change. It's not that God isa mean God. It's truly heatbreaking to see the hatred you have towards God. I feel sorry for you. There is so much more to life and God than what you think you know. Read Jeremiah 29:11-13. If that wasn't true then it would have not been writen, and it' true 4 everyone.

  • @britmariones10 Just because something is written in a book called the bible doesn't mean it's true. There isn't as much evidence as Christians think. Nobody wrote about about Jesus when he was supposedly alive, despite the miracles such as feeding the 5000, him causing a riot in the temple, an earthquake at his death and zombies walking the streets. The best evidence is the bible, but there isn't much other evidence to back it up. Josephus wasn't even born until several years after the time

  • One of THEEE very rare times Green has ever clean-shaven

  • @datoobster75 I guess one of those times includes before he went through puberty?

  • Religion affects most of society with tax exemptions, strange laws, school influence, terrorism, no gay marriage and stem cell research bans. In Texas many of the government officials are fundamentalist christians. And so they teach creationism and the return of Christ. This has an impact on everybody.

  • At 3min20secs, As he starts his music...fancy being sooo rude and controlling to an admiring audience like that! Berating them for clapping to his music. He seemed like a bit of a control freak at times! Thats not saying that I didn't love hismusic and was really sad to hear that he die years ago.

  • @Roseanna121 He is being neither rude or controlling. He wants the message of the song to be heard and he doesn't want it lost in the clapping.

  • For contradictions check out Dennis Mckinsey on u tube or perhaps the 'bible quiz' by nonstampcollector. It helps if you read the 4 gospels side by side to see the contradictions. They become obvious. Another example are the versus around what it takes to get to heaven. Jesus repeatedly says you must 'sell everything', and not just to Zacheus the tax collector. He also says you must keep the commandments, while Paul says it is by faith that we are saved.

  • Thank you for posting

  • Bamanna Bread!

  • @gavincostin1 Hey I'm not here to defend the bible, or my faith. My faith speaks through actions. And I love gays, lesbians and other groups. Now you can ridicule me or my faith all you want. I can take that. But my question to you is, when have you been hurt by any christian or church. Where have 'we' wronged you personally? I'd like to know :)

  • @gavincostin1

When you considering creation, looking at it in a molecular level, it would take more faith to believe in a big bang than an intelligent designer!!! Genetic code, implies design!!! Why have so many well educated people have gone from evolutionist to creationist, look at the science. You look at a building, and you know there is a builder, at a painting....and know there is a painter.......what is so difficult to believe in a creator when examining creation???

  • @LoreneAC1 Fair enough if you think there is a deity that created the universe, but the problem I have is with connecting that belief to the bible. Maybe there is a god but he doesn't care about homo sapiens, and it's hard for many to see that he does care, when you look at the defective parts of our bodies (e.g. wisdom teeth, appendix) and the lack of intervention in human history (e.g. the holocaust, 2004 tsunami). Evolution creates the illusion that animals and plants were created.

  • @gavincostin1 You do realize that after Adam and Eve where created, that the devil used their ability to choose to defile this universe, thus the imperfection in our body's and in the world. As such, we are doomed to die, our universe is dying, and God is going to make the Universe perfect again, but to do so he needs to rid it of sin as it says in Malachi, like gold. Our only option is to give our lives fully to Christ, in order to survive the process.

  • @LoreneAC1 The hardest part of evolution was the start, getting those genetic building blocks in the first place, but once it got to the point where survival of the fittest could occur between cellular organisms, all that was needed was time, and that amount of time was at least 1 billion years. And then where do we draw the line between animals and homo sapiens with a soul ? And where and when was the fall of man ? Why did other religions like Hinduism come first ? Why is Yahweh so violent ?

  • @gavincostin1 The organized religions of Judaism and Christianity may have come after Hinduism (but I think you might want to do more research into that), but there have always been people who have followed God (Ex. People like Abraham). Your question, why is Yahweh so violent, is extremely easy to answer, he refines things like a refiners fire. Once again, gold is refined by melting it to where the impurities come to the top.

  • @VJM1995 I think a better answer is that Yahweh was based on the militaristic greek god Aries. And he breaks his own commandment of 'thou shalt not kill'. Hinduism goes back about 6000 yrs, the O.T. was written around 4500 yrs ago. Religious ideas have been around for 10's of thousands of years, perhaps 100's of thousands. Neanderthal men did ceremonial burial, suggesting the belief in the afterlife. I believe Egyptian religion goes back even further than Hinduism.

  • @gavincostin1 I see that your research is most likely sound (glad to see your an educated non-believer; their so much more fun to talk to). The ten commandments are laws given to us, imperfect human beings. If God kills something, considering he is Holy, it was right that it be killed. God does not delight in destroying, though. That's another reason he sent Jesus, so that he wouldn't need to destroy his creation, instead recreate and restore it to its intended holiness.

  • @VJM1995 There's quite alot of critique about the ten commandments on you tube. There are some suggested improvements like abolition of slavery, racism, homophobia and sexism. I think it's silly to think humans did not already consider the commandments like do not murder, lie, steal, commit adultery to be a better way to live. It's as if the walk up Mt Sinai was a sudden revelation of truth.

  • @gavincostin1 You can find more in Leviticus. God hates slavery, because you and most of the world are in slavery to sin. I'm happy to say that I am free, and you could be free too. If you love God and are truly lead by his Holy spirit, you will not be racist or sexist. God doesn't hate gays and lesbians, but they are slaves to sin. It's a lie of the devil that it's the way they are. Homosexuality is a perversion of marriage, which is an analogy for the human race's purpose; to be Christ's bride

  • @VJM1995 God hates slavery ? Why does he make rules around it ? as seen in Exodus after the 10 commandments. And it even says you can have a slave from a neighbouring territory. I wonder what the probability is in your mind that the bible is true. Most religious people will say 100% chance, or close to it. How absurd and contradictory could the bible be before it starts affecting your faith ? Is there any limit ? I don't think Elijah flew up to heaven on a chariot of fire.

  • @gavincostin1 His desire for the Isrealites was for them to be reconciled with them, he set them apart for this only. Others from neighboring lands becoming slaves wasn't something he enjoyed, but if they were neccesary for his people, it was ok. When Jesus died, all of us had the chance to be reconciled, so any slavery now, God hates. Once again, I have read the bible thouroughly (did I spell that right?) 6 times, and have not found any major contradiction, and have found the opposite.

  • And what about the false statements in the bible like a bat is a bird (Leviticus). There are many numerical errors in the bible too such as the numbers of soldiers in battle. An obvious contradiction in the New testament is the time of Jesus crucifixion. Was it before or after the passover meal ? What time of the day was it ? Was Jesus happy or sad on the cross ? Who witnessed the resurrection and the empty tomb ? Was the tomb open or closed ? It all depends which gospel you read.

  • @gavincostin1 Errors like classifying a bat as a bird, and the numbers of people are entirely irrelevant. I don't ever remember a contradiction in Jesus's crucifixion. All the gospels say it was after the passover meal. The time of day is a hard question to answer because he was on the cross for 12 hours (our time) which actually was relatively short for crucifixion. The two Marys were the first to see him at an open tomb that had been closed when he was first buried, there is no contradiction.

  • @gavincostin1 True Christianity is not only about bible stories, it's about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus loves you specifically, so much that He was willing not only to die on the cross, but to suffer the full wrath of God. He's doing all he can to save you, but He loves you so much he gave you a choice to do as you please, wether it be your destruction, or your spending eternity with your maker who loves you beyond your ability to comprehend it.

  • @VJM1995 Christians love saying they have a relationship with god, but don't realise how stupid this is. It's like me saying I have a relationship with Santa Claus or Zeus or Apollo. Also the realisation that Christianity is fact a polytheistic religion based around human sacrifice. Theologians have alot of trouble trying to understand the trinity. Why does god need to appease himself, with himself to stop people going to hell which he also created.

  • @gavincostin1 The point is not getting people out of hell, it's reconciliation with God. God created the human race to be a bride for his son, Jesus. The devil, iniquity being found in him, hated it and used our lack of knowledge and discernment agaisnt Adam and Eve, whom I do firmly believe existed. The old covenant with the jews was the original solution, but it didn't work out, so God sent Jesus to die for your sins Gavin (I'm going to guess that's your name).

  • @VJM1995 What is your basis for believing that Adam and Eve really existed ? I think it's a more honest belief though, because you can't really believe in parts of the bible and not others because you need a fall of man. No original sin = no reason for Jesus to die for us. And the bible never says 'this bit is only a poetic story', it says God did this and God did that, and goes into intricate detail about construction of Noah's ark, which seems pointless if it never existed.

  • @gavincostin1 I believe anything, and everything in the bible. There's no point in basing your belief on a book, and taking the unbelievable and the stuff you don't like out. Somethings can be explained scientifically, and some you just have to believe that we do not even nearly fully understand this universe, even in it's imperfect state it still is incomprehendible to us.

  • @gavincostin1 Why do you feel the need to come and put your anti-religion/pro-gay comments on this video? Is that really necessary? Why can't you just let us enjoy our music and videos in peace? We aren't forcing our beliefs on you here and yet it is you who is being intolerant and telling us what to believe. You CHOSE to come and view this video, you aren't giving us a choice.. Think about it!

  • no matter what his appearance looks like (from beard to nothing on his face) i always recognize his voice!!! :)

  • He's so young! :) I don't think I've ever seen him without it full fro and beard

I wish this song would play on the radio today *sigh*

  • @gavincostin1 No he does not, it was the mentality of the people in those cities. If you read the story you can see why... not a pretty story I agree

  • @gavincostin1

the people in Sodom and Gomorrah were depraved. They wanted to rape the angel God sent to warn them just because he was new in town! They picked the wrong person to mess with. they had a lot of other issues going on than just homosexuality.

  • @gavincostin1 hey. God doesn't "hate fags" as you say. God hates sin. "Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortionist will inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Sin is sin. Many people think homosexuality isn't sin. God gave us sexual boundaries. Just one of the things that he doesn't want us doing. God loves you right now so much to send his son Jesus Christ to die for you.

  • @danterrymusic If you were gay I wonder if you would have the same religious beliefs ?

  • @gavincostin1 If I were gay I could not be a complete follower of Jesus Christ. I cannot follow Jesus and knowingly continue with a habitual sin in my life - I must make a choice of who I will follow. We come to God through Jesus and his Holy Spirit enters. God calls us not to continue in sin but live by the Spirit. Letting the Holy Spirit lead and reign in our lives - which will bring freedom in our lives. God loves you more than you know and wants to have a relationship with you Gavin.

  • gavincostin: so if you say that according to Israeli archeologists there was no such thing as the exodus...then why are Jews today so big on the annual Passover? The feast that began in Egypt and started the exodus?

  • Comment removed

  • @gavincostin1 closet homosexuals usually exist in narrow/conservative circles whereas Keith was living in LA and was moving in anything but those kinds of circles (before he became a christian anyway). He was even living together with his later to be wife. They got married when they became christians and had some children. I highly doubt he was one :)

  • @gavincostin1 What a horrible thing to even utter. What is wrong with you? Keith Green wasn't a closet sinner, he was a God-fearing man who was well-received into glory.

To call him a homosexual is to question his salvation and insult his entire ministry.

  • @tripletrules Keith just seems a bit limp wristed. Pitty your invisible magic sky daddy doesn't approve of his own creation i.e. practicing homosexuals. Scientists have found the gay gene.

  • @gavincostin1 Ooo an ad hominem. Woe is me. Whatever shall I do? :)

Oh, and there's several genetic factors that make people more vulnerable to alcoholism too...but that doesn't mean they get to go around and indulge themselves, does it? So even if there is a gay gene (which I find hard to believe) it still doesn't change anything.

Repent and turn to Christ. You will be judged one day, and there is no salvation outside of Jesus Christ.

  • @tripletrules The point is the bible doesn't appear to be from god, but from man. We now know that homosexuality is natural, as seen in gay indentical twins separated at birth. In the movie religulous there is a scientist who mentions that the gay gene has been found.

  • @gavincostin1 There is no proof for a gay gene. There are claims and theories, but no actual proof. Also, the Bible shows examples of sin being inherited in family lines. Abraham lied about his wife being his sister. Years later, his son Issac did the same thing! Some believe that a spirit of deception was passed from father to son. Whether or not that seems fair, we all ultimately have control over our actions and can't make excuses for our own sins. God bless.

  • Comment removed

  • @gavincostin1 The Bible admits it appears foolish. I don't mean to be rude, but for you to tell me you don't think it "appears" to be legitimate is quite frankly no surprise. Only the Holy Spirit can give you faith. Nothing I can say to you will give you faith, only God through the Holy Spirit can.

He may work through what I am saying to you, but it is Him and Him alone who convicts the heart.

Furthermore, the existence of the gay gene is, as I already mentioned, completely irrelevant.

  • @tripletrules It's funny how the non-existent and the invisible look strangely identical. It's the same with religious conversion and brainwashing. Conversion to Mormonism, $cientology and Islam is much the same in my understanding to conversion to Christianity. Our brains have evolved to be susceptible to all kinds of retarded supernatural beliefs. And people don't easily shift their belief systems. Notice how creationists ignore the evidence for evolution such as the transitional forms.

  • @gavincostin1 What does any of that have to do with our original discussion? It seems like you're just trying to troll people on here, or more likely pick a fight. Unsurprising really, since the Bible says you've been taken captive by Satan to do his will. (2 Timothy 2:25-26)

None of your arguments have succeeded in this argument. Every one of them has been shot down, and yet you continue on with me. Only instead of arguing, now you only insult and mock.

2 Peter 3:3 was right about you.

  • @tripletrules chill brother, don't let it get to you.

  • What is a sukkot ?

  • @gavincostin1 wikipedia is your friend ;)

  • @monum Okay so it's meant to be the dwelling that the wanderers used in the desert. Doesn't actually mean it's true but interesting point. Jewish people sure have some strange customs like the blowing of the rams horn. Apparently this is due to astrology. Between 2500BC and Jesus birth was the age of Aries i.e. the ram. And Baal is connected with Taurus the bull, which was the age before this. We are now in the age of Pisces so, some christians have a fish on their car.

  • @gavincostin1 customs or holidays are based on something, either belief or fact. Now archeologist have found remains of large jewish settlements in Egypt and yet somehow the jews got back to Israel. So there must have been some degree of 'exodus' for people to get from A to B :)

  • @monum Jewish settlements in Egypt ? What is your source please ?. Isn't Egypt pretty close to Israel anyway ? Do you agree with the 'flight to Egypt' by Jesus, Mary and Joseph, that it actually happened ?

  • @gavincostin1 saw or read it somewhere, can't find it now but found this to be an interesting read: bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/judaism/history/moses_1.shtml Either way you will find a lot of opinions for and against these ancient stories. It is hard to retrace i guess...

  • According to Israeli archeologists there was no such thing as the Exodus. And this is despite the obvious motivation to find evidence to support it.

  • @gavincostin1 Interesting, wonder where the Jews got their Sukkot from then...

  • No One, like Keith Green! Oh, I miss him!

Like, his comment; left his drummer home, adding that, the drummer made to much noise, he could not his music!

  • 2 persons now want to go back to Egypt!!

  • consider...(I haven't read ALL the responses so hopefully not repeating someone else)....I take this song to mean that our call as believers is to be transformed daily into the image of Christ, which means forsaking our sinful and selfish patterns of living, and perhaps destructive relationships, hopefully we do not wish to return to them(the allegorical Egypt), which may have been "easy living"...

  • consider...(I didn't read thru all the comments, so hopefully not repeating someone)...I take this to mean that if we are being transformed into the image Christ and are growing, this means sacrifice, we forsake our sinful patterns and selfish pleasures, and perhaps some destructive relationships,

and hopefully we don't want to go back to them(allegorically Egypt)...

  • Oooh my life's on the skids...

    Give me the pyramids!

  • this feels like getting cut for the first time. the feeling is so foreign yet familiar at the same time. keith gave me a lot of reasons to believe in god even though religion has always failed me. this just wells up my eyes, a happy sort of sadness.

  • i feel like going back to egypt

  • All I can say is - geez, he looks different without his beard.

  • @gregbakerproductions And looks matter alot?!

  • @3:23 haha!

  • Wow, clean-shaven Keith! He looks totally different! =) Miss him.....

  • I love this video. Keith Green was a staple for me growing up...my mom and dad loved him! They always played his records. This brings up great memories!

  • His hair is shaking! Haha.

  • Keith Green without a beard??? Oh wow!!

  • @DocBorden I think first of all this song is meant to be ironic. Secondly we as humans tend to forget or romantize our past, I know I do, and if you read Exodus 16:3 you see them complaining again and talking about the abundance they had. Now that could either be true, romantized or ironic. ;)

  • @DocBorden "...this is about you and I; people of God in a world called Egypt, or spiritual Sodom... Figure that one out..." - Keith at 2:50

Scripture is full of mysteries and parallels to be found out by those who "ask and seek". See Proverbs 25:2

One of those more fundamental mysteries is this: The "Old Testament" points to our spiritual walk today. See 1 Corinthians 10:1-6

God calls us to himself, though we have to fight our "fallen" flesh to reach Him fully. Many turn back for it is hard.

  • @DocBorden Actually, the bible records that the people did think Egypt an easy life, Read Numbers11: 4 Then the foreign rabble who were traveling with the Israelites began to crave the good things of Egypt. And the people of Israel also began to complain. “Oh, for some meat!” they exclaimed. 5 “We remember the fish we used to eat for free in Egypt. And we had all the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions, and garlic we wanted. 6 But now our appetites are gone. All we ever see is this manna!”

  • @DocBorden I would imagine that perishing would be very uncomfortable... therefore anything other than perishing would be comfortable compared to perishing. so i would speculate that the jews thought of the slavery as comfort compared to perishing in the same way that you or I may thing that dying from a gunshot to the head might be more comfortable then dying from an aggresive brain tumor. so whats your point? i dont think that 'mr green' was in anyway saying it was all peaches and cream ...

  • is there a love button?

  • Keith was one of my early influences in my walk with God, I listened and read alot of his teachings. I truly loved him and his wife, what an amazing ministry they had in the 70's.

  • So odd to see him sans the beard. He was a meteor for Jesus, wasn't he?

  • I love this old song. Keith's passion with the piano really reflect his faith.

  • I know the lyrics so now I can clap lol

  • Wow...he was so talented! He reminds me of a Christian Billy Joel.

  • HARD TO SEE NOW SO FORGIVE ME I shall try to behave I remember this era a time when observance was key- understanding and ASKING GOD what makes them act this way Amazing how the Spirit Answers and again forgive an older person Miss 1955

  • This is one of my favorite songs by Keith...it just shows that Christian music can be fun. God definitely has a sense of humor. I am so sorry Keith died so young. He was immensely talented. I remember finding out he had died and feeling so sad. I was in college at the time.

  • I went to this event. My family and I went to every one there was. I loved the first Jesus West Coast where we sat on a hill side and someone had made a giant cross out of rocks. It was a great time.

  • yeah so self absorbed, he gave his albums and money away opened his home to hundreds of strangers whom had no place else to go all in the name of Jesus. :)

  • Ba-manna Bread!

  • Kieth Green!

I think Kieth was the best influence Christian Music has ever seen.

He was quite the celeb. He didn't charge for his concerts and gave out free records.

    Excellent post.

  • He gets his power and confidence from the lord!
