give me about 3 months, we have a customer that bought a 980 two seasons ago and two big x 1000s and a big m 400 this last season. 980 was nothing bought problems and the two 1000s just ran and ran!!!
@wdx12012 yes we had a 970 claas and the fucking knives would always move.not to mention many other problems.no matter what we did..no matter what claas service men did they moved...and you know what happens when the knives move what u have to do to put them back n place to be sharpened.needless to say we got rid of the fucking thing.

Einstellungssache? 1000 Sacher erändert. Aber was über die Einstellung wie du das zägt. Es ist noch immer so das Italienische Maschinen nicht so in Detail gemacht sind.. Jeden ehrliche Mechaniker sagt das. Zum Beispiel. Bei einer Kreiselegge von Lemken oder Amazone passt alles vom erste Mahl. Bei Maschio etc.. Mussen sie erst eranderungen durchmachen um alles zu passen machen
Judging by the crop flow the FR wasn't set up properly. And the stoppage was the metal alert system. Set up properly the FR 9090 will out cut the Big X V 12 while burning a lot less fuel.
Sorry bud but we had a little field demo with a new Claas, Krone 650, a John Deere, and the FR. Sorry to say but the New Holland guys almost left because no one was interested in the FR 9090.
Where was your demo, what knife drun was in the machine, and what were you cutting? We havent had a problem selling everyone we get out here on the west coast
It was at Iest Farms in Madera, the Krone and Claas stole the show. John Deere ran good....a little to good, we had a Big X 650 go against one in the south valley and it blew the doors off the JD. But this one ran alot better, maybe this dealer set it up better. But as for the 800 hp machines I hear the big claas doesn't like our hot summer days in the central valley.
That Big X V12 is bad ass. Krone makes good machines. how many trucks do you need to keep up with that much hay? I could not even imagine a 12 row head . you can't pack the trench fast enough

I can see why, Krone did make the video. But really how can you compare the two the V12 is a larger machine, more horsepower and has superior crop flow. also you have to factor in the operator he could have easily caused the machine to plug. when it comes down to it they all break and they all run like bats out of hell when they do run until they break.
I've seen it in central california and on a low boy headed north. as for wheres it "running" I never see it running, the three times I've seen it, its been parked at the edge of the field. I don't know the HP on it, sorry!
yeah thats the same one I saw, Danelle's had it for awhile. They tried to disquise it with 900 decals but was clearly larger than a 900. There is video of it on youtube just look up "new claas" or 980
The reason why the header stopped "is the METAL Alert" Notice the header is not running the hay in anymore. You can ALL own the KRONE chopper maybe alittle faster than the NH or claas etc but my neighbor has two of the big x v12 and they had to hire out the chopping this year. The first new one blew the motor up in 200hrs of operation and the secone one a week later blew up the main hydrostat motor. Last I checked only one has been repaired and still waiting for parts from germany...
I don't buy that it still hasn't been repaired, we have never had a Big X down for more than a day. If we need parts from Germany they are air freighted in. If anything they are early V12's that did have some issue but mostly have been resolved. as far as engines the V12 has been very reliable and so have the V8. Plus Krone doesn"t make the engines mercedes does and they make engine for claas also.
so we hve one conclusion the metal detecter works on th fr not on the bx also this is one big con by krone ie he lifts reel and pushes hydro to get past
Thats because he plugged the machine, thats the whole point of the video. It shows the Big X going faster and taking in the feed, not plugging like the FR. And thats the V12, but cut the BS I think a Big X 650 will give a FR a run for its money, plus the 800 and 1000 have been running in California and people love them. Hate it or love it the Big X is here to stay!!!!!
