i just got a hedgehog from a owner , shes 3 years old but never cut her nails. its all cruled round i dont know if that would hurt her or what because it look nasty !
put them in a warm sink, this way they have no choice but to give u their feet and when the spines are soggy they cant erect them, mine is a total bitch, but shes no match for the sink
i have to clip my hedgehogs nails too but im worried that i'll hurt him because hes still very squirmy and gets frightened easily, can you give any suggestions?
Lots of practice. I did it a couple times too. I personally, found the position in the video MORE difficult when trimming. I kept cutting too short and hurting her. I hold her with her back to my chest. Check out my "Not Without A Fight" video. WAAAAAAAAY easier.
I'm about to clip my lil hedgie's nails for the first time and I'm afraid of hurting her. I was thinking of getting tiny nail clippers but you guys used regular ones! I had no idea I could. Any words of advice?
I'm getting a hedgehog in a couple weeks and this is what I'm most afraid of. I hope mine isn't fussy! Yours is awesome with getting its nails clipped!
