  • I could sit around all day and watch mama's family

  • Oh and by the way, when Iola was added, the show improved 95%. The syn shows were incredible.

  • @ItBrandonSilver I disagree. I prefer the NBC version was funnier. Iola was nice, but too bad she couldnt be on earlier. If it was the highest rated syndicated show, I dont buy it. The only network I could watch it on growing up was FOX. I dont think this show gets the respect or acclaim it deserves. Dont make rude comments, Mama would not appreciate it either.

  • I totally agree.........its a shame they keep all the other gar'bage on TV these days and won't put this awesome show back on......I really miss it.....could watch them over and over..the humor never gets old. The jokes were always right on and had a certain wisdom to it!! So miss it on TV !!!!!!!!!!

  • Have to agree. Mama's Family is MMMMMMMMarvelous! Have you read

Vicki's autobiography? She talks a lot about Mama's Family. Is very

grateful to Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman.

I'm so old I remember when these shows were new. Actually, I remember

    when Lucy was new.

Vicki, Carol and Lucy. Three of the greatest. And they all had great writers

    too.

  • TV Land or Nick at Nite needs to bring Mama's Family to the line up.

    Thumps up if you agree.

  • 2 thumbs up from me.

  • I love Mama's Family, too. She reminds me of Grandma Ann!

  • I can't tell you what it is, but this video is a bit disturbing.

  • I just wanted to say I'm a huge Mama's Family too. I remember when I was younger (I'm 20 now) me and mom would lay in bed together and watch Mama's Family at 9 o'clock every night before we went to bed. One of my fav. episodes is when the fair (or something like that) is in town and the harper family rents out rooms in the house. I nearly DIE laughing seeing mama trying to get herself into the hammock!

  • Hey, I love Mama's Family, too! I sent you a friend invite. Hopefully, you'll accept it.

  • Mama's Family's my favorite TV show ever. I've practically memorized the damn thing. Help!

  • I don't think that Mama's Family was under rated when it was new, I think that it always had high ratings, it's just under rated now

  • It was the highest rated Syndicated show, yes. But it never got an Emmy Award, it was never as big as any major Network show such as Full House or Family Ties or The Golden Girls, etc. It has a cult following more or less. But it wasnt that appreciated when it was on air either.

  • That's OK, all the really great things in life are usually under rated for some reason lol, I really like Mama's Family too

  • good nes some one posted up a load of the shows but not all of them granma crowley ones have been posted

  • You call being the highest rated syndicated show being unappreciated while it was on the air? Get some education dumbass.

  • Mama's Family's the best. I wish they'd release the other seasons on DVD. I hate VHS! Grr! Great video! It is a great theme song. It's a crazy, yet cozy show with all their meals and homey stuff. And totally underrated.

  • Yes it very underrated!

  • I kinda like VHS.

  • It's better than no show at all - it's just that I'm kind of spoiled with DVD's and how easy they are to navigate.

  • my friend if you got it please help me out the show that has mama's mother as the ghost i love that show so much!!!!! please down load it or pass me a picture of her mothers picture

  • Im sorry I dont have any of it on tape. Just Season One DVD. I hope that Warner Bros will release the rest of the Seasons . I like that episode too.

  • oh man i love that show scent i was a wee boy i know in mama family season 1 grandma crowley was shown in the flash back of the brithday she said she could bake the cake for thelma while drinkin a beer i love that wise old woman

  • I like both versions, but IMO the syndie years were funnier and more outspoken than the NBC version.

    THANKS A LOT MAMA!

  • Well, good lord!

  • i love the syndicated version. it's so much fun. I wish they coulda kept Aunt Fran in the syndicated years.

  • the syndicated is alright, but lacks the flavor and theatricality of the nbc years.

  • nah, it's perfect and isn't so predictable. Buzz and Sonja were useless characters. It's really hard to compare because there's such a powerful dynamic between Mama, Eunice, Ellen, Fran, and Naomi in the original, but the Iola/Mama/Vinton/Bubba/Naomi lineup is priceless.

  • we'll have to agree to disagree.

  • haha!

Its a GREAT DAY at the Raytown Travel Agency... MAY I HEEEELPPP Yew!

  • I liked the NBC years the best as well for basically the same reasons as you! Great video. Thanks for sharing.

  • Oh yer welcome. Glad you liked it.

  • thats right, vasinger and monumentfloyd are the same person!

  • Yep, we get the point.
