I can understand how one might take offense at the way the audience seems to care more about about a dazzling scientific performance than the implications for our country. The science here is very good. The implications are very bad. IMHO, a case could be made that we should keep this to ourselves and NOT try to bring it to the attention of the public at large. I do not agree, but I respect the argument.
How could the implications of a total coverup be kept to ourselves? Maybe in 40 yrs it will be done justice...People believed in the "magic bullet" for years, now a vast majority believes in a JFK coverup...
They are clapping because Jones has used sophisticated scientific methods to prove a point and has done it very well. The methods are SEM (scanning electron mircroscopy) and X-EDS (x-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy). How it works: when the electron beam in the scanning electron microscope hits the sample, the sample gives off x-rays of different wavelengths, depending on the elements it contains.

There is no evidence of individual elemental aluminum particles of any size in the red/gray chips, therefore the red/gray chips are not thermite or nano-thermite.
