This episode is about Miranda's insecurities, if this was a movie or a teenage drama they would probably show Miranda starving herself, but they can't because its DISNEY , this show in particular is meant for a young audience it would scare children too much to see something like that.

One image that seared itself into my memory from when I was 4 years old was when Miranda fainted. I remember how that was scary...... didn't stop me from developing the disorder in the future :/ I kind of miss old Disney Channel shows, when they portrayed real problems that real teens face.

This episode isn't about eating disorders it's about body image. How Lizzie sees Miranda and how miranda sees herself, and how they don't match up. Also about what to do in a situation when you think a friend is heading down that road of eating disorder.

To everyone who is complaining about how they're addressing her skipping meals as a eating disorder, this IS Disney Channel, remember? They aren't going to show something totally extreme as a method to scare kids. They were just trying to make a point. Also, since Lizzie and Gordo aren't with her all the time, they wouldn't be aware of all her eating habits. So most likely, there was a lot more going on than her just skipping one meal.

i love how like every episode of this show, addressed an issue that teens or anyone really could of been going through. it shows how to redirect the issues and turn them into thing that will make it better for you in the long run.

I just bought this episode on iTunes, and I was SO mad that they changed the music during the dance sequence! It was originally "Us Against the World" by Play, but the iTunes version had some stupid instrumental in its place. I hate when they do that! Thank you for adding the original version here; it goes so much better with the dance.

Why are you trying to cover up your error? THIS EPISODE WAS ON BEFORE DEGRASSI DID AN EPISODE ABOUT IT, reply to that and don't try to bring up something else. It is stupid that she would faint after only skipping lunch, but they had to fit the seriousness of the eating disorder in the one episode I guess. I have anorexia, and I have went over two weeks with no food at all and exercise and numerous months with extreme low calorie consumption and never fainted (have come close). This is a bit extreme.

I use to love this show as a kid. :(

well yes, but they had to speed up the process a little bit, its a 30 minute show. and this is for younger teens and they couldnt really show the actual reprocutions (spl?) of not eating.

I know what both you and 01melissa01Ann01 mean. Compare this episode to Hannah Montana's "diabetic" episode where Oliver is diagnosed with it. But, Disney refused to air it on tv. This issue seems just as serious as Oliver having diabetes, but Disney had no trouble showing LM, versus HM. Any idea why?
