  • thats is pretty cool, me and my dad are building somthing similar too that

  • hey where did you get the motor and for how much?

  • @HoLLyWood2171 I got it off ebay a while ago. The dont sell powermax engines anymore. They are called duromax now. I think it was 380 shipped but that was a while ago.

  • Hey i wanted to know where you got that motor and for how much?

  • @missing903 I did play with the gearing some since that video and I clocked it at 42. It still had good take off and would roost softer soil.

  • Wow nice 16 hp :D This must be fun

  • dude i love it, i like how your not sitting so dam close infront of the wheels or even infront of them. very nice balance your not to far forward or back and the suspion looks like you could drive the thing off a cliff and it wouldent hurt it

  • sick gokart

  • how did you do the swing arm

  • @happyman199 I cut the back of the original frame off. Welded a some tubing across the frame where the cut was and the back part which is now the swing arm. I then found some tubing that bearings with a 3/4"ID would fit nice in. I cut 2 4"ish pieces of the tubing and welded that to the swing arm. That would be the bearing carrier I then cut some flanges with a 3/4" hole in it and lined them up to the carrier and welded them to the frame. Found a 3/4" bolt long enough and it was done.

  • @happyman199 I ran out of room on other reply but check out my video walk around of it and you can see it better. I added 2 idle sprockets welded together and used one of the 3/4" bolts as a pivot for a jackshaft so the chain stays the correct tension through out the suspension travel Search "My suspended go kart video walk around! " for my other video. It shows it pretty well.

    Thanks!

  • omg cvt <3

  • Nice Go-Kart dude mine is setup the same way same frames and same tires :)

  • thats not homemde thats a manco dingo asshole

  • @IVIoNsTa360gaming

You didn't watch the video. If you think this is a stock manco dingo then you are to "unaware" about go-karts to comment such ridiculous comments. Swearing on things you aren't even sure of? You must of had a hard child life. Watch the whole video before you comment please. I could just delete your comment but now the world has seen how pathetic you are!

  • @xljimmy89 lol nice...

  • I am jealous... 16hp?!?! Ive got 6.5 and it kicks but but 16!! wow.. I LOVE MY HONDA CLONE

  • Also you should paint your kart. It would look bad as hell if it was painted a light teal or a blue with black wheels. You should check out house of kolor paint. It's DEATHLY EXPENSIVE (I'm talking like $520 for 1 quart of there custom prism color) but it holds good and it looks amazing. Plus the clearcoat is very durable and is guaranteed scratch resistant. Keep up with the build man.

  • I'm talking about like the looks. I mean you no disrespect so I'm sorry about anything that was rude. Also you should have kept the roll cage over the engine on. It would look even sweeter with that roll cage on. But anyways good job on the build and I'm probably going to resort back to this video for the steering and front suspension.

  • And besides I don't even have the motor on it yet. I'm only on the painting and frame work and creating custom engine mounts. So if you really wanna see it, it's just a frame painted a metallic brandywine without tires and a motor sitting in the background.

  • @somecooldude777 Well it should be sweet when it gets going but how does mine have nothing on yours when yours dont even have a motor mounted in it? Just think your comment was rude. Keep us updated when its done. Take pictures of the process like I did. Cool seeing custom work as the build moves along.

  • Lol give me your email address and I'll send you pictures of it when it's out of the shop. Also can I see your go kart?

  • Mine is in the shop getting it's frame widened for a 6 point racing seat. I will post when I next see it

  • Man ur go cart has nothing on mine. I own a 98 dingo almost exact copy of what you had to start with and Im putting a Kawasaki KZ-650-C1 motor on the back. U think ur 16 hp motor is alot but once I get those KZ-750 Cams for it and drop it in I'll be running 70 Hp. I'll post pics of it after.

  • @somecooldude777 Well, where is your video?

  • @somecooldude777 It doesnt really exist ???? LOL

  • Can you possibly send me the plans for the frame if any

  • @cch3st3r

I made it from scratch of the top of my head. I dont really have any plans for it other then the pictures in the video. Sorry, wish I could help more.

  • that is soo sick!

  • how fast do you think it goes?

  • @bobjackmorin 1mph hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

  • dude you shoulda ploped a blaster motor in it as well haha!,that thing

    would rip!.

  • awsome

  • how fast can it go?

  • @Dirt55Rider

    Hey dirt55,

It all depends on gearing and its gear slighly faster then stock. Probably 40mph ish. Thanks for subscription!

  • @Dirt55Rider 12 mph pretty fast aint it ?

  • @PoDgeyDiamonD 13mph down hill!

  • nice all it needs is a roll cage

  • That's hot

  • what song is this

  • this is cool would a lt 230 quad engine work

  • I had a 230 quad sport and it seized up. I have heard of others with the same problem. I would avoid that engine if possible. I think the oil overheats and breaks down if revved 2 high for to long.

  • but i have a 1985 lt230 quadsport that im taking the motor out to replace it with a rm 400 2-stroke enginr but it runs good and iv never had any probems with it because since its so low geared and its a four stroke your not saposed to wind it out too much because itll doo that its the same as all four strokes but any way would it mount in ok because i want to use it

  • With the engine/sprocket set up, you may have to lengthen the kart some or possible have the engine mounted next to you. Other then that it should be a cool engine!

  • How's the Honda clone engine? Did it hold up ok? How much was it?

  • It been a good engine. You cant go wrong with the price. Starts right up in all weather conditions. You can get the 16hp with electric start for about 400 with free shipping. It is no longer powermax but duromax. Maxtools. com or something sells them. If you do a search you could probably find it.

  • That's pimp!!!! What did you use a centrifugal clutch or what series of comet torque a verter????

  • Thanks!!!

I used the stock comet 40 series.

  • @xljimmy89 what kinda clutch did you use i just built a buggie somethin like yours and i have a normal go kart clutch on it but i wana be able to spin the tire like yours can just reply and let me know where i can find a clutch like yours

  • comet 40 series tav

Maybe ebay but comet is shut down and will no longer make them.

  • THAT THINGS A BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • would u be willing to sell or make another?

  • I have so much time into it that to sell it I would have to ask an unreasonable amount. I really plan on keeping it. It is currently sitting in the barn with no motor. I have a 30hp rupp tr340 twin engine I want to put in some day. The engine that is in it here is in my attex 208tt. I have videos of it too. I loved building it but my true passion is in amphibious atvs or aatvs. Such as seen at 6x6world . com.

  • how fast

  • Flat out it did something near 40 I think. Never clocked it. Speed is all in the gearing. It was geared low enough to drag a few guys behind it trying to stop it from a stand still. lol

  • looks to crampt

  • It does look that way but its not. I purposely made it that way.

  • thats cool, but why make it short so you cant fit in it good, you should cut it in half and add a few inches to stretch out your legs.

  • The Goal I had was to keep it small and nimble. I wanted it to go into a smaller truck easy. I see lots of rigs whos machines are more mid sized between a gokart and dunebuggy.

  • @wheremygat187

    Thanks for comment!

I wanted it short to fit in the truck easy.

  • i want those tires and get biger shocks mine is a racing go-kart but it's npt a racing bodyit's made ike a offroad

  • nice rig man!!

  • whats the name of this song it's cool

  • How fast is she flat out? Is it still pretty capable off road?

Nice build though, mang. I'm jealous.

  • It is a lot more capable off road then it was. Flat out it did something near 40 I think. Never clocked it. Speed is all in the gearing. It was geared low enough to drag a few guys behind it trying to stop it from a stand still. lol

  • That thing's pretty slick.

  • imma do this to mine but imma have a 110cc pocket bike engine on the back and a foot clutch along with hand shifter it's gonna be sick.

  • is that last quad you see an old trx 125. they are so cool i have one its a 85 i think and taught about 25 people how to ride still runs strong

  • @tmc161

At end is a honda atc110 and a kazuma 50.

I know those trx125 thought, Small lightweight go anywhere because there so light and durable as dirt. Nice little quads!!!

  • thats pretty sick man, mines kind of like yours but less hp and no shocks lol

  • thats awsome man. i was thinkin about putting that motor on my cart too. i was wondering u have any problems with it?

  • @jumpman1819 No its been a good motor and has many hrs on it. I have been pleased with it.

  • professional job

  • 10% dingo 90% sweetness. thats pretty cool. looks like it has some nut to it.

  • sweet

  • thats sick man........what kinda gearing does it have?

  • pretty nice im about to try and do something similer but with a 250 cc dirt bike motor if it works i think it will haul ass

  • Heck yea it sure will. Please let me know when you get it started, I would love to see it. Sounds like a great project!!!

  • pretty cool, too bad you couldn't use the blaster motor with clutch somehow

  • how do you get the sprocket and disk brake on that is if your using disk brakes

  • Actually the whole axle is stock manco dingo. Rear frame too. I cut it and put in a pivot point for the swing arm. There is a picture of it in the video.

  • Sweet! Man I'm going to build something like this. I watched a "Building the Go-Kart (High School Senior Project Video" too. So my GoKart will looks similarly like yours or kylemonkey's :D Btw. I've one question. Did the drive is on one wheel or two wheels?

  • @haslotakiesame

    Cool,

This buggy has a solid live axle so both rear wheels spin.

  • awsome... i have a trx 400ex, does about 90-95 is my max, what did that thing do?

  • @slimshady31394

Holy cow 90-95? Mine did around 65mph stock. Beat suzuki 250 quadracer 2 stroke and would keep up with a stock banshee until he hit 6th gear which I didnt have. btw same 250 quad racer beat another dude on a 400ex and was surprised I beat him. Either mine ran better or the other guy didnt know how to ride.

  • @slimshady31394

This buggy only did around 40ish but was never really clocked. It is all in the gearing though. It originally was stock but i did tooth it up a tade so I guess 40ish which is slightly faster then stock. Thanks for comment!!!

  • woooooow that was sick nice lay out plus that thing can hale assssss

  • Thanks for the wonderful comment. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Pretty Badass dude!

  • ooo nice one. 5 stars, and goes to favourites

  • cool cart but you shoulda put the 400ex engine on it that would be awesome

  • You, know, I like the way you think!!! :D

  • Very nice!

  • thats really cool looks like a hell of alot of fun too

  • Thanks!!! I currently have the motor out. I plan on putting a 2 stroke sled engine in it. :D

  • sweet!

  • @vmxrm85 Thanks!!!
