instead of using wooden block for cutting boards I cut out a square from fake stick on "wooden" floor tiles they work great for me. but if u peel of the backing u might wanna put a peice of paper in the place its very sticky!

We just got a Hobby Lobby where I live and i LOVE it! Best craft store I've ever been and I've been in LOTS. Spent $25 at Hobby Lobby on what I would normally buy at Michaels or Joannes for $50-$60! I do have a question tho... You've mentioned the flexible mold stuff, I believe. Is that at Hobby Lobby? And if so, where in the store?

So you can bake the clay on wooden squares? Will the items come off?

Because every other how to site say to only use things such as glass or ceramic tiles.

@MyPaperBleedsInk They stick a little, but will pop off if you try. You can always super glue them on after they are baked and cooled. I usually use Triple Thick Glaze to seal them onto the wood.

Hobby-Lobby... absolutely THE best craft store/any store I've been to!! The only problem is trying to leave... =( I'd pitch a tent!! lol!! our store has a 40% coupon every 2 weeks [one item per person, per visit] so I take some friends and family... as MANY as I can find!!!] this brings super-sculpey from $12 to about $7!!!!! Stuff at Hobby Lobby are really cheap. I have to go to Dick Blick, Pearl Paint, or Michaels to get the supplies. These stores are not as cheap as Hobby Lobby. They should open a Hobby Lobby store in New York.

I wish we had Hobby Lobbys out here in the Pacific Northwest. All this stuff that's really useful for making miniatures, the jars and plates and stuff... none of the craft stores here carry it! There are no dollhouse miniature stores in my area :(
