  • hello Teresa, thanks for you tutorial

  • i had used .... 8m thread...and used all 6 stands first and then used 3 strands...they came out pretty nice... then u went out and bought 10m thread...and the came out too small and tight and the design was comprised ...what advice can u give me .... EVERYTHING I AM LEARNING.... I HAVE LEARNED FROM YOU.... THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR MAKING IT EASY FOR ME TO LEARN. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS AND UR TEACHING TECHNIQUE

  • sorry I* went out and bought thread.... sorry typo

ps. first time crocheter ... i used to knit but WOW thanks to you Teresa i cant put my hooks down :) :) :)

  • @sweetcherry7 The larger the number with thread, the smaller your work will turn out. It is not anything you are doing, it is the size you purchased.

  • @tjw1963 thank you sooo much.....

i have learned so much fro you.

  • Excellent tutorial thank you very much for your clear instructions!!! The earrings are beautiful! :)

  • but the question is...will it blend?

  • @mangieo I met one of the marketers of "Will it Blend" last summer. Their demonstration was very good.

  • so im in singapore, where do i get the ear "hooks"

  • @AiriNaomi You would get them at a local craft store or online. Herrschners online has earring findings.

  • @AiriNaomi hi, I'm in singapore too, there is a shop called Beadspin just outside Tampines MRT. I've seen another shop somewhere, but cant remember.

  • Hey - I Just wanted to ask that do we have to chain four only for the first time when we begin round two? I'd be extremely grateful if you'd answer my query. Thanks!

  • @SelDem96 You can modify the size of the chain if you would like to make it longer or shorter.

  • My ears are Gauged :-O

  • Gracias!!

  • isn't it hard to work with string?

  • @GreyWolfEyes1222 It is and sometimes it makes your hand cramp but the smaller and steadier your hands are the easier it is. Practice makes perfect and the more you practice the easier it gets! Message me if you need pointers!

p.s. don't go straight into thread work your way down from yarn to thread then string so you become accommodated with the rhythm!

  • @StarySky925 ty for ur response.

  • just loved it!!!! your videos show that there it much more to crochet... :)

  • you are the best teacher. I have made so much thanks to you.

  • I just made one with a G hook and ww baby yarn in white. and it is adorable. I am going to use it as a Christmas ornament. I have been looking for some kind of snowflake like crochet ornament.....these are prefect! Thank you!

  • Great demo! i want to make these for my daughter, but would have to make them real tiny, since she's only 6. what sz thread and hook would yoou suggest?

  • Can't wait to try!

  • LOved it, super easy!

  • I like super big earrings!

  • Hi Teresa!! Thank you so much for all of your tutorials!! I have learned so much from you!!

  • @rebs64 I appreciate the comment, thank you

  • first of all your going to fast. youre not doing a good job of teaching me ANYTHING.

  • @mzveronica890 This is not a project for a beginner. You will need to learn the basic stitches first before you try an advanced project like this one.

  • @tjw1963 I agree. I think this is SUPER easy compared to alot of the stuff "WE" make ♥

  • @mzveronica890

Use your pause button. The stitches are very easy and repetetive, so if you just get the basic stitch you can pause until you catch up.

  • @mzveronica890 Like theresa said if you think this is too fast you may not be ready for a project like this. when I was a beginner I wrote everything down she said so you don't have to worry as much about pausing then trying to catch up. it is actually still really useful for me at times when I'm working on a very difficult project. I make Lace so this is a breeze and I have it memorized by now.

  • @mzveronica890 BTW PLEASE do not tell Theresa she's not doing a good job of teaching YOU, she is THE BEST TEACHER on ALL OF YOUTUBE and the way you worded yourself was probably quite offensive to her. She puts these videos up to HELP US out and is KIND enough to share her expertise and the PATTERNS which you have to pay for MOST of the time.Just because you're frustrated don't take it out on the person who created the video and is helping,it's not HER fault YOU'RE having trouble following along.

  • I just finished one of those little earrings but I don't have a size eight so I just used a size 6. the result is so adorable.

  • Just made my first pair of crocheted earring watching this tutorial. Your made it so easy....great instructions! Thank You!!!!

  • @markgames64 You are welcome! Please share a video response of your earrings! Did you use yarn or thread?

  • I love this ! i'm going to make my own pair : ) thank you : )

  • @cexiladi14 Please share a picture or video response when you get it complete

  • this is great i might make a doily out of all of them

  • @Lola101152 A doily is a great idea. Please share a picture if you make it.

  • Just Awesome!!!!! Thank you soooo much for the video. it's of great use and help :) thanks again... :)

  • i like size 2inch ;)

  • OMG i am totally trying this

  • how milimitre is the hook i don't live in USA so des sizes are diffrent :p thank you

  • @lovexspx7 These are the tiny steel crochet hooks and do not have a millimeter size. The only thing I have ever seen is numbers.

  • @tjw1963 thank you so much i understand now :D

  • Ur work is amazing.. I made earrings nd heart as given in ur tutorial.. :)

    Thanx alotttt :)

  • @sweeth263 Thank you! I appreciate the comment. :)

  • Thanks for posting this! Will be doing them in a multi yarn!

  • Once again THANK YOU isn't enough!! Until i found your tutorials i really believed i wasn't meant to crochet. My daughter told me not to give up, and it was then that i saw your explanations and ever since before the day ends i try to see one of your videos .Ive already made some crochets which make me so happy!!! Thank you for your wonderful videos and for helping people like me learn this wonderful art!!

  • WOW QUE BONITOS ....

  • @99ranger202 Gracias, le agradezco el comentario

  • Excelente video explicativo. Incluso para una principiante como yo. Hay alguna posibilidad de ver los videos en español? a mi mamá le encantaría! Saludos desde Argentina y hermoso trabajo

  • I have one question...Is there anything you can't do? lol Wow! Thanks for posting!

  • @Carmel86Tae I am a very bad cook!

  • @tjw1963 Really? That is hard to believe. Oh I made the earrings! I'm so proud. lol Because I used thick yarn, I stopped at the end of the circle, omitting the loops design. It was awesome! Everyone gave a lot of compliments. Thank you!

  • wow sweet!

  • @AliWomen2 There are two more earring tutorials you may be interested in. I have plans to do more.

  • its great to see this clase cool it is beautiful . cooll i love it.thank you TWJ.

  • @StFrancisChurch You are welcome!

  • you make this seem so easy. I've been wanting to start crocheting for the longest time but had not found a tutorial as clear as this one. Thank you I will definitely be giving this a try : )

  • @ellesig1987 Thank you. This may be a more challenging project to start on so keep that in mind if some things seem frustrating. I do have a playlist with the beginner crochet stitches that you may want to become familiar with prior to starting a project.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I really enjoy watching your tutorials, they are so clear and you have a nice voice to explain as you go. I would love to try making these, but I get frustrated trying to crochet w/ cotton, I guess I'm just used to worsted acrylic/wool. Thank you again for posting all the tutorials. You're my favorite! :-)

  • @Slivings911 It will will be a little bit larger with yarn. I do know that many people like the larger earring.

  • @bpiaanos I do have a lot more ideas for earrings and plan to post them. Thank you for your comment!

  • these are great, however just couldn't do it with such a small crochet hook, used

a size 7 and also a size 6 came out terrific

  • @LoomLilly This is one of those patterns where you can use larger size crochet hooks and it adapts really easy.

  • This are pretty and the tutorial was very easy. Thanks for sharing Teresa!

  • @DearRafiki You are welcome.

  • You're amazing.Thank you so much

  • You're amazing.Thank you so much

  • @USERNAMEKHAC Thank you. I appreciate the comment.

  • can you please post more designs for variety in earrings

    thankyou

  • @airbayx I will continue to post more earrings. Thank you for your interest!

  • @tjw1963 it is very easy to understand all the stitches from your video. keep it up :)

made it that very day but my only concern was that it looks somewhat stiff and bland. is there someway we could increase its width - two parallel chains, breadthwise? i'm fairly new so just letting my mind wander..

  • @airbayx You can work another round of chain loops if you would like to. You may need to increase each chain loop. I am not sure what you mean by stiff. I thought everyone would want a shape that was stiff.

  • @tjw1963 @tjw1963 it is very easy to understand all the stitches from your video. keep it up :)

  • I love those earrings :) I love crocheting earrings!

  • @simplycrochet2021 Thank you. I plan on doing more. Many requests have been for crocheting on the hoop.

  • i made another pair and actually used the same technique used to put the hook on to put beads onto the earrings and they turned out so cool, i made them in black with 2 different shades of orange beads and they totally look halloween esque i love them thanks again these are so multipurpose ^_^

  • @bjababy1 Great ideas! Thank you for the comment!

  • This is most definately one of my new favs!!!

    You're awesome!

  • so i made these, idk if i had some weird crochet cotton or something ( idk what size it is cause it no longer has a label ) but mine look kinda different ( a bit smaller) but they still look great so thanks again for the tutorial ^_^

  • @bjababy1 Mine may only look big because it is close up. They are less than 2 inches. There is a wide range of steel crochet hook sizes. If you used a smaller hook, they will turn out smaller, even if you use the same thread as I did. If you want larger earrings, use a larger crochet hook.

  • Wow...you are so creative. You are also dual talented with your left and right hand versions. Amazing....

  • @sosweetlittlegirl99 Wal-mart has crochet cotton thread. Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, Michaels and many sites online.

  • i really need to learn how to crochet. im 14 and i love your videos. i would love to wear these.

  • Oh my gosh, this is such a cute idea! I'm thinking Christmas gifts! I've never worked with such a small hook before, but this inspires me to try. Thanks, Teresa, for sharing this tutorial. I never fail to learn something from you.

    Huggs,

    Shari :-)

  • I made these thanks to your video. I am a novice crocheter. I asked my sister in law what she thought as in size for these she thought they were cute for kids. So any tip on making the larger earrings like 6cm to 9cm wide. And how to attach two of these to resemble dangling earrings. And how to mix colors. Thanks!

  • I don't find the pattern. Will you post it sometime?

  • i have been trying to find a video on how to make earing but i need to know how to make a maching necklace

  • Oh it so cute!!! Thank you so much Teresa!

  • would you stiffen those?

  • @gambrell104 You can if you want to. I would recommend a medium-heavy spray starch, lightly iron.

  • how would you go about making smaller ones? they are so pretty!

  • Thank u so much Teresa for sharing.

  • Muy original felicitaciones . uN abrazo a la distancia desde Lima Perú.

    Grace.

  • @MissPinkDollz I appreciate the comment, thank you. Please feel welcome to share my channel link if you have friends interested in crochet. I also have a page on Facebook where people share images as they finish projects and participate in discussion.

  • That was the easiest tutorial I have seen for such a pretty earring. I have been watching you for years now. Your amazing. And i like really large circle earrings. I would wear a pair up to the size of a CD on certain occasions or use them in one of my photo shoots ^_^ Keep up the great work.

  • @BlakChinamaican Thank you for the feedback. I am getting a really good idea on earring sizes.

  • aaaaw i really really want to make these T^T but they don't sell these earings metal peaces here alone , i always wanted to make some accesories :( thanks for teaching us how =)

  • @MioChan1991 My suggestion would be for you to purchase some inexpensive earrings that would be similar to these. Take off any decoration and replace it with the crochet piece. Maybe they would both work together.

  • @tjw1963 ooh ok ^_^ this is a great idea xD thanks alot

  • thanks for this!! have been trying to find crochet earrings patterns!

  • @spongybob06 You are welcome.

  • super cute...why didn't I think of this before!? Thank you!

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial.. Have been wanting to know how to crochet earrings..you've made it simple...The bigger the earring the better...

  • @GeeGeet36 You are welcome!

  • So cute omg must make!!

  • i like skinny earrings that dangle... round earrings tend to make my face look bigger than it is already :(

  • @Jakathera I will keep that in mind and see what I can come up with.

  • oooo i like mine will be much bigger though i love big earrings :)

  • I saw this kind of earrings on etsy. I don't need to but it, because I can make it now even crochet beginner : ) Thank you for sharing soooo cute stuffs everytime♡

  • @bjababy1 I am working on more pattern ideas.

  • @tjw1963 yay im so excited ^_^

  • the larger the earring... the better :-D

  • I like these! I have never worked with thread, but they sound like a first great project for me. I'm gonna try them. I have not done thread cuz, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to see the stitches with such a small needle.

  • That is the most adorable thing!!! I need to make some now! I think the size you have is JUST perfect!!

  • These are so cute!

  • Thanks for the tutorial. For the first time I'm working with this type of yarn and it's so small. You make it look so easy. :o) I think I'm going to make a pair to match my purse I'm making. Thanks again.

  • 1st It might be a lil' bit late to say that but I really wanna thank u so much for being the best crochet teacher ever, thanks to u I'm really good now at crocheting, I can make my own designs too, 2nd loved the earings so much and I have lots of earings ideas too

  • I like med size earrings, but I prefer to wear clip on earrings. I got the yarn needed to make the chunky yarn crochet cap. I will start on it next week.

  • Lovely, thanks Theresa!

  • OMG goodness you are a godsend... thanks for this tut i have thjis small needle but didn't know what to do with it. going to joann's now to get that type of thread to make some earrings.

  • Oh Yes I have! Thanks for the helpful tip! ^_^

  • I love them. I would wear them 3.5 in to 5 in in diameter. Great vid.

  • So pretty! I ought to try making them sometime soon, I only hope I can find those earings, haven't seen any of them in stores where I live.

  • @Sorrrow1984 If you have earrings in the store that are similar, you may be able to take them apart and attach the crochet section. Any type of earring will work.

  • Love love love it, I hope you do more videos on how to make accessories, I'm kinda stuck on just making circular things, I need different shapes lol thank you for all your videos.

  • The bigger the earrings, the better for me. These look fun to make. I will have to try it!

  • Love them! I like big earrings!

  • I'm glad that you made this tutorial. I was just thinking about making some earrings. :]

  • @sociallyawkwardasian I have a lot of earring ideas.
