@cod5200 They haven't announced when the demo will be for Xbox but if the timeline of when the rest of us PS3 owners got it I'd say at least two weeks after we got it at most a week before the final game launches.

They may just be holding off till they have what is going to be your guy's exclusive all set.

The game is very solid, fun, and a 100X better than MKvsDC, and soon will top SF4. Combos, and setups are addicting to do. The AU government should automatically get rid of the ban on Australia because I don't want anyone to miss out on this. I wish MK was like this before MK4 even came out lol

Some of the stage fatalities seem sort of out of place like the living forest one and the bridge car crash. Plus I dunno if its my tv but the characters seem way too big for the screen, and the character models seem like they have a matte coating finish. But still thinks it's cool.

@jecklejuggalo When in a fight pause the game and go to the move list. Press X to get to super moves (or whatever the call it) and scroll to the bottom. 1 main fatality and 1 stage fatality is listed for each character.

The only way i can do a review is if i played it with a MK T Stick. I'll be playing it with the mk Stick because all my buddy's have them on Pre-Order.

I think the block button on the T is one of the buttons used for X-Ray.

It's a wait and see review how that will work.

The x-ray is nothing but, another super meter - you build it by taking damage, doing combos, or special moves. You can do ex (for example Johnny cage might throw to projectiles instead of one - or certain moves like his shadow kick covers more range almost the entire screen which is a great move because it punishes alot of moves on block.). You can also use part of your meter for combo breaker and, then theres x-ray moves - some act as counters others as attacks.

The demo is good but, it's not great. Doing combo's and, command movements on the PS3 was not fun at all - IF YOU HAVE A ARCADE STICK PLAY THIS GAME ON ARCADE STICK AND NOT PS3 PAD. playing on arcade stick feels more fluid, less stiff, and makes you feel like you have more control.

This is the first Mortal kombat to actually have overhead attacks which i've seen three overheads are pop up attacks - I only know johnny cage's can lead to serious combo damage.

awesome . scorpion is the best and i love the 2d presentation. the backgrounds are gruesome especially the living forest with the hanging bodies. the gameplay is similar to the fist two games with custom combos and a awesome xray meter that takes a little bit of planning when trying to nail an opponent with it. the special moves are more effective in this game since they removed that lame sidestep from previous entries. the only flaw that i could find is the music could be better .

I finished the demo with all 4 characters and LOVE IT!! my favorite is sub zero, least favorite is mileena. Gameplay is very fluid and smooth, smoothest MK I've played. The graphics look very nice and the video you get for finishing the demo is awesome even though it looks kind of compressed and not as clean as the actual game does. The pit 2 IMO is the better looking of the two arenas although the forest looks great as well..

@MrClassicMKRoom Actually both but it's just that I don't like using forward back or back down for moves, her easiest move to pull off is her teleport kick and the computer spams it a lot. I honestly never cared for any of the female MK characters other than Sindel, Sheeva and sometimes Sonya. Kitana/Mileena/Jade and all the others are characters I just don't like to play as. I think Sub Zero and Scorpion are the easiest in the demo but Johnny Cage is right on their heals than Mileena.

here is my honest take on the demo... Great but could be better

Game Play 9/10

Overall game play was great... I did get sick of seeing the character intro's after every match though.

Graphics 10/10

Backgrounds and Character detail are amazing... The Pitt looked great - the guys on the Pitt in the background are actually fighting!

I was amazed to hear the original music for the living forest... this was a very pleasant surprise! All of the bone crunching sounds and background music were top notch. I did however have a problem with the fatality music... it sounds cheap and not as devastating as was heard in MK2 and 3.

Fatalities 9/10:

There are some great ideas here but If scorpion does not have his classic fire breath fatality then this is FAIL.

I tried for several hours to try to do a simple 2 hit jump kick and catch enemy in the air with a spear without any success... if you are going to take this game back to its roots then you should also bring the staples back in.
