Dang most of you Kiowas are Mean .....you have no reason to put this person down for learning... yeah she miss pronouced it .... she has no Kiowas over there to teach her the right way ....she can only do the best she can ...You Kiowas who get upset about something like this.. It s actions like that ..that make our people look bad you make us look mean ...............Hi-gull thone aw pawl maw
It's true that the pronunciation of Kiowa words were wrong and some of the stuff wasn't accurate, however they did try to do right. They did not mean to be disrespectful or portray the Kiowa people in a negative light. This just goes to show you that alot of people just don't know alot about others cultures. We should all try to learn about each other. Then, maybe some of this hate will start to go away.
Key?? key-O-Wa??? LMAO... For some one to show interest is good but please Spell and Pronounce your words better.... Some take it to be disrespectful when you dont.... jus sum advice...
Yea you should do more research on the subject before airing anything, but i am kiowa and from carnegie and not very many people are interested in natives at all so i just want to say thank you for being interested enough to put a piece of something on here about our people!
Were given the name Kiowa (kī'uwu) "people" by the Crow of Montana
Now "named" Key-oh wha "Washita know shyte" by (mostly southern) whites who rewrite "truth" on the blog internet
You "pee-poles" need to learn your true history. Kiowa, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Montana, Dakota, Lakota, Nakota,
Mississippi, Tejas, Washita, Montana, Colorado, Indiana, Alaska, Kentucky, Tennessee and Tutanka were Native words before Custer thought he knew "injians"
kai oh wah males in 1874 were tricked in to coming into the fort for rations then the covered "ration wagons" pulled in to the enclosed fort and the gates were locked
on the bed of each of the 6 wagons was a gatlin repeater gun
they murdered all of the males except the very traditional kiowa families who did not want to
to eat the white mans food and would rather forage roots plants and rabbits..these families did not heed the invitation for rations and they are now the remaining families
its pronounced like the state Iowa with a k in front of the I and they lived on the Kiowa Comanche Apache reservation hence KCA (Killing crackers Always) the K-iowa Killed the most white people out of any tribe and that is why they were punished the most ifact 10,500 male head of house holds were gunned down because the US figured only the males were resposible for depridations against the US Fort Sill military base was built after the kiowa comanche and apache burned down fort cobb
