Spiritually speaking, opinion sometimes can be a form of passing judgment and what or who gives any of us the right to pass judgment on one's spirituality?
@peterkar Road apples. This is an interesting arrangement and an even more impressive performance. I'm tickled that a youthful choir chose this and did well with it.
This is a beautiful version. I love that it is bright, uplifting, and SOUNDS thankful!

What about spirituality? Vitality? So, would there be only one appropriate interpretation of hymns?

Of course not. But this over-elaboration drains the hymn of its essential spirituality ( or so I think - it's not mandatory to agree with me ).
