Ah, the Princesse de Broglie (at 5.30). That gown is the living end! You swear you could hear its satin crinkle. The painting is so beautiful. I love Ingres' portaits of women. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the Princess de Broglie's painting in person back in the 80's. Sublime. Your video is a wonderful collection of the artist's work. Thanks for sharing!

I encourage you to seek out these images on the net and take a closer look, not only at individual paintings but also an artists entire body of work. Many of them have very interesting biographies as well. The more you seek and find the more you'll know. Learning is one of my favorite things to do! :D And we live in such an awesome age, the world's libraries, museums and galleries are at our fingertips! Surf yerself silly! But be careful, it's addictive!
