  • Wow, a real insight, people have often complimented me on my 'talent' and I have refused to agree saying' I have no talent I just practice hard'. Well I am no Mozart, but now I realise that I AM talented and that my talent has been derived from my hard work practicing. This video has given me a new insight to my own capability. I am now determined to build on my talent using these practice techniques, it has inspired me to take my music to a new level. Thank you.

  • I´m sure this is great, but 80% to much talk

  • As an experienced guitarist and an alto sax beginner this sounds like profoundly good sense to me. But not just as a practice philosophy... Just as there are too many guitar shredders (well actually it neatly seperates out the noobs!...) much jazz can sound too cluttered to many ears - losing esp. the beautiful sonority of the sax. Vinnie Colaiuta also famously practices drums in slow mo without kit or sticks! So yes, a great method which is refreshing for the ears and the mind.

  • Slow is the word - if you can't do it slow and in place you can't do it fast ! too many play too fast too soon and fuck up. Right on my man, you understand. I run a weekly jam and my biggest problem is the fast who have never done slow !!

  • Good lesson!

  • SORRY BUT SOUNDS LIKE BULL TO ME I KNOW TALENTED PEOPLE THAT NEVER PRACTICE INCLUDING ME

  • @3dgod
