I have been following the music and careers of the Isley Brothers, Isley-Jasper-Isley, Ron, Ernie, Marvin (RIP) and Chris for a very long time...after the Isley Brothers broke up, I-J-I kept the good music going. Ron became the Mr. Big character and changed the mood of the music. Ernie still performs with him, but also does the Jimi Hendrix thing. Chris Jasper still puts out his "Isley" music...it's on his Gold City Music website and youtube channel...still great R&B music so check it out.

As a former college friend of theirs, it was wonderful to literally "luck up" on this video. (I was actually looking at a Shakespeare Theater of NJ site! I love this - people talk about John Lennon but this Isley song is the undersung anthem for me. My daughter is 10, and when I play this song and tears form in my eyes, I tell her why.
