Cool, after reading all the comments read those were SD80's. (and no, i will never understand why Conrail was the only one to get them. If i still modeled my railroad would have plenty of them) The way they went by i thought they were newer EMD's. Was going to ask if you caught flak for putting fallen flag paint on new units. Years ago was railfanning & talked to a guy who told me of seeing a then new D9-44CW painted L&N & how it pissed him off. Really?? Hell i love to see "what ifs" like that.
Thats funny as Intermountain Railway is making GE ES44AC locos in fallen flag names like Atlantic Coast Line, Burlington, Conrail, Rio Grande, Santa Fe. Athearn made the GP60M in CR, UP, BN, and CN, F59PHI in PRR, Southern, SP, ATSF too.
@mgwsy Cool. Yeah, i will always remember that. He told me about seeing the engine painted L&N and while i quickly though about how cool it must have looked with a straight face he talked about how mad it made him that someone did that. I was completely dumbfounded. Modelrailroading is supposed to be FUN. As long as the person makes a legit effort and doesn't half ass it, its fine with me.
I was raised across the tracks from the SP train depot. The Kaiser Steel ore train, Pacific Fruit Express Reefers, Sugar Beet Gondolas and SP passenger Sunset Limited would rattle the windows and rumble by. Since all I have room for is an 8' or so module of scenery, I am recreating a video setting similar to this view but with the Wig-Wag signals, SP depot in the background and our "shack by the RR tracks" on the near side. Simplicity in detail gave your video realism. Good Job.
First of all may i say GOOD JOB!!!! You are to be commended for your attention to detail. I have got 2 sets of walthers doubled lane cantilevered signals that flash like yours on my home lay-out. After seeing your gates close then open again i am definitly now, going to try and tackle this wonderful detail next, and add these gates next to my crossing lights. Thanks & again GOOD JOB:):):):):):)
One of the most realistic HO Intermodals on this site. Everything looks weathered but not carried away and I love the smoke stack stain on the container at 0:37. 5 stars man.
i was convinced until the engineer came blowing thru the crossing with no horn. unless he rigged the alerter button so he could take a snooze. really nice job with the set.
absolutelty awesome. props on the 40+ car train, and obviously the gates are incredible. wish i had the money to get some. do they make them in N scale?
Dam, what the hells up with that! Guess that's one thing my train layouts not gonna have until way into the future! Like 30-40 years into the furtue (if I'm going to build my own house and set up a layout in a basement!) but, I don't mind! I'll stick with the 20 dollar plastic no light crossing! FUN!

I like to see the old CAST and BN containers. I think I even saw a Walther's box. You don't see many of those...
